IVAR WIGAN: THE GODS

Exhibition on view through June 19, 2016 at Little Big Man Gallery, Los Angeles Fair & Paris Fair Exhibitor

1427 East 4th street #2, 90033 Los Angeles
www.littlebigmangallery.com

Little Big Man Gallery proudly presents Ivar Wigan’s first show in the United States.

Scottish Photographer, Ivar Wigan, presents a series of images taken around the street culture associated with the urban music scene of the American South. Captured on the urban fringes of multiple cities—predominately from Miami, Atlanta and New Orleans—the images are a defiant celebration of a marginalized and often demonized culture, here raised to iconographic status and suffused with a sense of admiration and empathy.

Stills from the day 2 of “Meeting of Styles” graffiti event !!

its exciting for us to see Moh,Khali, Deff art, Bright Ackwerh come together with other artists like Ian, BlackBoneGH, Nii Nortey and Scare Crow- after they all met  a graffiti workshop organised by Alliance Française Accra.

The workshop was part of the annual Alliance Française Hip Hop festival in collaboration with yoyo tinz in November. It was headed by international graffiti artist Da cruz, who touched on the need for collaboration and working with time and speed.

The final day of the event is today. Meet us in James Town when you can, before the sun comes down.

#StreetArtSaturday

The street Art culture, which was upon a time not welcomed in Nima- a suburb in Accra, Ghana, now is a source of income for a lot of young artists in the community.

The images above are that of a typical art studio, very evident by the images you find on the walls outside the studios and a contact to commission a work soon as you eye hit it.

ART WORK - found in Nima, Accra, Ghana.

Mode will wahrgenommen werden.
