Pathway view showing part of a cacti garden and giant lavender field. Many paths connect all patios with levels. There’s a swimming pool built into the hillside, a custom chicken coop, and even a vegetable garden with the family’s beehives. This project grew from a reimagining of the home’s architecture with Paul’s vision for a garden that is practical, yet enhances all element around it. Project Name: “Old Ojai.” Landscape Design by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. paulhendershotdesign.com to and in collaboration with Sonny Ward junestreetarchitecture.com

This is a progress and after shot. The area was cleared before the pathway and hydrangeas were established. On the bottom of the photos and off screen, is a rock staircase to a guest home, pool, spa, and courtyard. Project Name: “Southern Style.” Landscape Design by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. paulhendershotdesign.com

Courtyard trees are aligned in a way for style, but more importantly for shade during the hot summers in Ojai. We also have pea gravel as an excellent lawn alternative. It’s easy to walk on barefoot and pets find it comfortable. Landscape Design by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. paulhendershotdesign.com
