#garden path

LIVE

Pathway view showing part of a cacti garden and giant lavender field. Many paths connect all patios with levels. There’s a swimming pool built into the hillside, a custom chicken coop, and even a vegetable garden with the family’s beehives. This project grew from a reimagining of the home’s architecture with Paul’s vision for a garden that is practical, yet enhances all element around it. This is a progress and after shot. The area was cleared before the pathway and hydrangeas were established. On the bottom of the photos and off screen, is a rock staircase to a guest home, pool, spa, and courtyard. A blossoming fruit orchard. Grape vines sit next to the outdoor dining room. There are citrus trees in pots and giant privacy hedges in the background. Project Name: “Provence in Ojai.” Landscape Design + Furniture Design by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. paulhendershotdesign.com

A lavender field pathway in the direction of the guest home. Pollinators love to hang out, which helps our environment through the cross pollination of our plants, trees, and flowers. They support our ecosystem by pollinating food sources for other wildlife and humans.

We’re all connected, so take care of your home by using organic products that don’t kill wildlife. The use of pesticides poisons bees, as do insecticides. There’s even one that attacks their nervous system. Flying through treated areas exposes them to the chronic poisoning of their water and nectar. All of this damages the planet and our lives. Project Name: “Old California.” Landscape Design by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. paulhendershotdesign.com

Are you ready for an adult Easter egg hunt? There are 13 eggs hidden in this photo. Can you find them? Hints: some eggs are tiny and they’re all the same color. Good luck! A new kind of pathway with a beautiful planting design. The ambiance fills a connection between the swimming pool and hiking paths. Project Name: “The Butterfly House.” Landscape Design by Paul Hendershot Design, Inc. paulhendershotdesign.com Interior Design: maraya.com

Jodie Ellen - Green Wet Fingers
We tried to book Charlie Dimcock for this one, but sadly she was booked for Chelsea Flower Show with Alan Tits. Jodie Ellen loves getting her hands dirty and wet in the bush and relaxing by the pond by sunbathing topless.
