#sword of the stranger
Hey friends, I’m in need of some art ideas! My animals and I have just moved into a home, and I’m not currently in the middle of any full landscape paintings. I’ll tag fandoms/ books/ movies/ shows I’m down to make art of.
Nanashi from Sword of the Stranger, when he finally breaks the seal on his sword
6.5 x 9.5" watercolor, gouache, red ink, goldleaf
Feng-wu, mu-mao, mu-you, and luo-lang from Sword of the Stranger.
12 x 9" watercolor, gouache, ink
Nanashi, Tobimaru, and Kotaro sometime later. Nanashi’s decided to stop dyeing his hair and just let it be, and they’ve adopted Feng-Wu’s hawk along with Itadori’s horse
12 x 9" watercolor, inks, salt
Nanashi, Tobimaru, and Kotaro sometime later. Nanashi’s decided to stop dyeing his hair and just let it be, and they’ve adopted Feng-Wu’s hawk along with Itadori’s horse
12 x 9" watercolor, inks, salt
Luo-Lang and Feng-Wu (and his hawk!) from Sword of the Stranger
12 x 9" watercolor, black and gold ink
Though the landscape is mostly inspired by places in China (haoshang bridge, zhangjiajie national forest park), the waterfall is inspired by one my dogs and I visit a few times a year
Feng-Wu and his hawk from Sword of the Stranger . Yellow camellias for longing, white chrysanthemums for nobility elegance grief and death, yellow tulips for one-sided love, and lavender for faithfulness and being gay
12 x 9" watercolor, ink, goldleaf
Luo-Lang and Feng-Wu (and his hawk!) from Sword of the Stranger
12 x 9" watercolor, black and gold ink
Edit: Here’s the finished painting!
I’m trying a slightly new style for landscapes (probably just for this particular one)
And it turns out that taking a week to ink everything makes watercoloring go a lot faster.
I watched sword of the stranger because I loved Nanashi’s face and…. YES
