Little gouache doodle in my sketchbook
Sorry I’ve been gone so long, and thanks to all of you who are still following me. I’m still doing the art thing and I have a massive backlog to post, I’m gonna try and actually start sharing stuff regularly again.

Sunset view from a walk with Janisu. Conclusions: I don’t like this hot-press paper (only 3 sheets left!), even though it can take a heck of a beating, and I need to be more careful about my palette selections again.

Quick direct watercolor of a Colorado sunset via dear E. Happy with how I was able to loosen up brushwork for the foliage (really vibing with my smaller sable brush this month!); still baffled by my inability/lack of willingness to concentrate on applying a gradient correctly. It’s almost like… I need to practice them more…
