One Dress a Week Challenge

May: Gold & Silver

Josie and the Pussycats / Rosario Dawson as Valerie Brown, plus Rachel Leigh Cook as Josie McCoy and Tara Reid as Melody Valentine

The trio wears these sparkly silver outfits for their first music video when they hit the big time. Technically, only Valerie’s is a dress and the other two are pantsuits, but they are a group and should be featured together! I like the fact that each one is unique, with a different neckline.

Valerie’s dress features spaghetti straps and large cutouts at the sides with silver strings to add some visual interest to the empty space. She also has a high slit skirt and lines of glitter up her arms.

Josie’s top has a ring neck, leaving the shoulders bare, while Melody’s is completely strapless and has streamers hanging over her midriff. Melody also has elaborate swirls of glitter on her arms, while Josie seems to have been given just a general dusting.

And of course, they all have kitty-ears headbands!

I don’t know where Ian finds the time to hawk anti-aging products, dance for  Chippendales, and film movies like Sharknado.  What I do know is that this movie will be outstanding.

It’s here! The new music video from John and Edward - Ferocious! Shot on location in Los Angeles and Phoenix, the video also features the twins’ good friend, Sharknado actress Tara Reid. 

The video was shot using a Red Camera, which records at 2160p 4X quality.  This gives the video a cinematic feel, and means it would be totally at home in the cinema, as well as on our TV or computer screens.

After telling Irish media last week that they’d lined up Perez Hilton,Tara ReidandWilliam Shatner for their next three videos, it seems John and Edward’s dream team is becoming a reality.

So - one down, two to go! We wait with bated breath (or, given Perez’s Sharknado2-inspired shirt, baited) to see if Ms Reid and Mr Shatner likewise come through!

John and Edward, in speaking on the Mooney Show on Ireland’s RTE1 radio station, announced the release of their next single, “Ferocious”.  The Dublin Duo have timed Ferocious to come out on the same day as their Dublin concert, October 24.

Jedward shall be flying out to LA next week to record three music videos, and mentioned that they intend including Hollywood stars William Shatner and Tara Reid, and also King of Hollywood Gossip, Perez Hilton.

Whilst in LA they shall be doing their Ice Bucket Challenge, having been challenged by Tara, Vanilla Ice, and Vine star Tish Simmonds, among others.  It was because they were nominated by Archie Naughton, who, with his twin younger brothers, suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, that they decided to finally meet the challenge.  John and Edward’s chosen charity is Join Our Boys, which raises money to find a cure for DMD, and to also provide the future care of the Naughton brothers.

Jedward will additionally donate €1 of each ticket sold from their upcoming October concerts in Dublin,Drogheda, and Castlebar, to Join Our Boys.

spooky tuesday is a (now not so new!) podcast where we’re breaking down all of our favorite slashers, thrillers, monster movies and black comedies on the new scariest day of the week.

it’s no secret that josie and the pussycats (2001) is The Best Movie Ever (join the army!), so it was only a matter of time before we covered it here on spooky tuesday. it may not technically be a horror movie, but it is in its own way a murder mystery — and given that it’s been just about a year since we first came up with the concept of fifth tuesday, we knew its day had finally come. a musical comedy with a banger soundtrack and a killer cast, this flick didn’t get the appreciation and critical acclaim it deserved twenty years ago, but we’re doing our part to make up for that now as we talk about the romantic tension between josie and valerie, how absolutely iconic fiona is, and everything that dujour means (friendship, crash positions, etc).

After almost a decade, American Pie is back with a new movie entitled American Reunion. And I’m one of those excited to see this film since I’m really a fan if the American Pie movies. I love how they made the movie poster identical to the first American Pie movie.

But because it has been almost ten years, big changes on our major characters are expected. As you watched on the trailer, Jim and Michelle already have a kid. Kevin looks old in the poster, well he looked that way because he’s a husband now (a house husband) and unfortunately, Vicky is not his wife. I also love what Oz has become actually, well I think it suited him well. And Stifler is still Stifler :)

I loved every scene on the movie, the humor hasn’t changed and I think it doubled. There are so much more in the story. I looked forward seeing what happened to most of East Great Falls’ students and I was satisfied. I know you’ll love it like I did! Expect more laughs.

I really enjoyed every bit of the American Reunion and I think this is the best American Pie movie EVER!

Definitely a must watch! Don’t forget to catch Jim’s transparent-lid-incident. haha!
