After a couple of weeks of decision making, I can finally announce I am leaving my job of almost 11 years.
It’s been a long road, and a difficult decision to make, but I feel that it’s the right one, at the right time.
The print industry, if somewhat stable, does not have much room to progress and develop if you are an Operative or Technician.
I chose to move on to pursue a new career and begin to learn new things and make my job fulfilling and exciting again.
I start my first day as a Junior Graphic Designer on July 24th!
I both excited and nervous as I have a lot to learn, especially new software and computer skills. But I’m up for the challenge. Hopefully this will lead to bigger things for my future :)
This means that unfortunately, I won’t have as much time for Etsy work, orders or sewing as I cannot get to a Post Office as frequent anymore. I will try my best to bring it back into my spare time once I get settled into my new place and into a new routine.
I love sewing a lot and I don’t want to give it up any time soon!

For disappearing off the face of the earth again.
I’ve been extremely busy with my Etsy shop this year and now I’ve decided to take a time out to spend on other hobbies and commitments.
I feel a bit worn out from sewing non-stop, and every week since the middle of January. I think my body is ready to tell me it’s time for a break.
I do have two gigs next month though! I look forward to going down to London to see Primus :) and I get to see Kraftwerk the day before in Manchester!

I completed my Zakk Wylde apple pie today.
It’s been a long, stressful and upsetting week. I needed the getaway in a form of art to keep me going. Interesting technique with the stencilling, but does take quite some time to complete. Thanks to Jessica over at Pies are Awesome for the tutorial :)
I also added some food colouring to the rings to make black pastry, plus a couple of pastry guitars to finish

Currently doing some free motion applique work for on some patches for a baseball jacket I have. It’s been plain for far too long!
I’ve decided to make it video game themed and these are the first three characters I’ll have on there. (Just got to finish Knuckles!)
My jacket won’t be for sale, but I might do the patches on commission with a iron on adhesive backing.

For those wondering about the Red Special plush I was making last month, I’ve completed it today, with sound box too!
This was quite a challenge. I’m not sure if I’ll want to make any more guitar plush items in the future, but at least now I know I can do it :)

My boyfriend asked me if I could appliqué the Pride & Glory eagle to make it into a patch for one of his denim jackets.
I was up for the challenge!
This one is approximately 34-35cm wingspan. Using polar fleece and various free motion quilting and satin stitching techniques. Very pleased with the end result :)

I forgot to show you all the photographs I took at the Game of Thrones Gallery in Bethnal Green, London! #GOTgallery
I was chosen by Isaac Hempstead-Wright (aka Bran) as one of the winners and I had my Lord Baelish portrait displayed there!
My boyfriend and I took a day trip down there, sipping celebratory whiskey on the way there and back :D It was a wonderful albeit surreal experience and it’s made me proud to be an artist :)
I received the artwork back this week along with Season 6 on DVD and the portrait is currently for sale. Please message me if you are interested in buying him!

I actually started this project in August, then unfortunately I had a lot going on in my life at the time. This is my first big sewing project in almost 6 months. It felt like the right time to get back into doing the things I love again. I wanted to upcycle some old jeans I had lying around and decided I was going to customise an old pair of jeans and wear them again, so I made some gaming jeans with a giant flare. Kind of like the JNCO jeans of the early 2000’s. I simply bought a few shades of denim fabric, measured my panels and designed and printed through photoshop. These things are massive. Ideal with big soled boots like New Rocks. Hopefully I’ll be showing you all some more upcycled jeans very soon. Thanks for looking.

Ah, Christmas. Perfect time for drawing naked demons :)
So this weekend, my partner and I were watching the Disney short Presto.
He looks at the credits at the end and starts laughing to himself
“What are you laughing at?” I said.
“You know when you accidentally read something to yourself and say it wrong? I just read the word shading and thought it said SHA-DING!”
Well that was it. I basically annoyed him with it the whole weekend, turned it into his new catchphrase and made a cheeky little illustration to go with it. Luckily, he saw the funny side :D
Next time there’s a sweet deal or something looks awesome, the word SHA-DING will be utilised to its fullest.

Oh I’m still here..
Hi all.
Sorry once again for the time away from Tumblr.
I’ve noticed I don’t get as much time as I used to for many Internet posts anymore, plus my etsy shop keeps me busy. I really should try and find some new thing to get into, but I would like there to be more hours in the day first!
To anyone who is interested, my new job is going well. I’ve been here around 8 months now. We have seen many people come and go, but I’m hoping to be one of the ones to stick around.
