☙ Odysseus, on his journey home to Ithaca, was visited by a ghost. The ghost tells him that once he reaches his home, once he slays all his enemies and sets his house in order, he must do one last thing before he can rest. The ghost tells him to pick up an oar and walk inland and keep walking until someone mistakes that oar for a shovel. For that would be the place that no man had ever been troubled by the sea. And that’s where he’d find peace.
In the end, that’s all I want. To walk away from the sea and find some peace. ❧
This has been on the go for a while, initially in dip nib then brush pen, mucked up THs face (didn’t find a good ref)… and so I scanned it in a month ago and attempted to make it better. I’m letting it go. My heart isn’t in it… not been drawing anything. Missing it.
We were happy… this started off a random nib sketch, then I added Miranda another day, then decided to add Thomas… but it was kind of working/not working. So I scanned it in today bought some nib type brushes for procreate and kinda sorta made it work. After 4 years, I do a trio pic. Better late than never.
And drawing today. Thomas and James. I drew a sketch of this a while ago and never finished. I used thin layout paper to draw the finished pieces. Nibs did not like the softer paper. I had to ending with rotring 0.2. I liked the intertwined limbs of the sketch.
