Misha had such a perfect cockatoo day! We started off at the @tgfarmersmarket (I’m going to get a bandana for him from @izzysbarkinbandanass ), then did the South Grand Art Fair, ate at @steveshotdogs , and he had the most fun sitting pretty in a friend’s peach tree. He told me for the first time, as I was putting him to bed, “Misha love you” (which Chris tells me he practices saying when I’m not around, but this was the first time he said this to me and in context no less). He’s previously just said “Misha love her”. Misha is such a lover bird! We got a bite to eat at the Tower Grove Farmer’s Market and he didn’t want the cuddling to stop. Went to the Tower Grove Farmer’s Market a little late and got some kombucha. Drank it and had snacks at a nearby friend’s. It was so windy that Misha had a hard time hanging on to my arm (his toes face the wrong way and are spastic, from birth). Farmer’s market again this weekend! Swipe for the cuddle videos. Misha has started molting and just wants me to preen him, all the time. During the week it’s pretty boring, Saturday farmer’s markets are seriously the most interesting fun I have anymore (anyone remember the bar hopping with Misha phase I went through in 2017-18??).

Perfect weather and evening to have chicken on a stick from @graffitigrubstl and a cocktail from @stlbarkeep (said hi to @bark_n_sniff). Misha was the perfect picture of calm fluffy cuddly Moluccan cockatoo love … until it came time to leave. No video because he was acting suddenly obnoxious as we were leaving. He laughed at every kid we passed walking to the car, which meant he wanted to get petted by every small child (and did)….

Took Boo to the @tgfarmersmarket for the first time. He started taking his harness off so he had to stay in his bubble. He said “hi” to all the people and got jealous when Misha got attention. We stopped by @shortymixcookies and a few other booths. My birds both love attention and @holeekao is a champ for indulging them with me .

This was Misha’s first time out in a crowd since fall 2019! He was a little shy but still had fun and was such a good bird. I bought him fresh broccoli and greens. I hope he’s tired out for the rest of the day now. Boo is jealous (and going to work on harness training him so he can come out too!) @tgfarmersmarket
