Now that the Yu-Gi-Oh holiday charity zine is done and shipped I can post the full piece! I really wanted to bring in an ancient Egyptian holiday in tandem with modern winter celebrations, so I used the Nehebkau Festival (usually took palace within modern December). The holiday honoring the god, Nehebkau, was celebrated by feasting on cakes made from khersait plants (Egyptologists are still debating on the actual plant).

I had a lot of fun with this and it was delightful to work with so many other talented creators!!

Worried but determined to find their friend Joey; Yugi, Catzi, Tea, Tristan, and Bakura headed deeper into the caverns. I really enjoyed this episode. Though I did feel bad for Bakura. Having from getting a skeleton attack him to getting run over by a boulder that ended up being fake in the end. He deserves a hug damnit. I feel like my drawing of these characters have gotten better over the course of time. It’s really hard to believe. Of course, practice makes everything better. So, I feel like I did these guys justice. Certainly a lot better than most of the styles and animation in the actual anime itself. Like seriously, rewatching the series, I noticed how most of the animation is just bad. Oh well…and yes, I am quite aware they would not be that bright if they are in a dark cave. I honestly felt it would be better to leave them like that so you can see them. also, I still suck at making backgrounds… -_-; also, I am glad I am still going strong with my rewrite of the series that’s for sure. 

Happy Halloween! I figured this would be the perfect pic to post on Halloween. Though it is kinda sad I wasn’t able to write this episode in time for the holiday itself, but eh what can you do? At least I managed to color this. I’m sure everyone is aware of this episode. It’s one of my favorites. I like how it ties into the manga and having these guys as their favorite monsters. For Catzi, I’m sure you guys have already guessed who she is. Let me just say that drawing these pictures is not easy. Full figures at least. I am really happy with they all came out for sure. My first ever fandom. And also the first to introduce my characters Catzi and Bast. I love this series so much. T-T Though I only care about the original one. GX, 5Ds, ect, yeah I could give a shit about those because honestly, they were just made to keep the game Duel Monsters going. None of the characters or stories in them ever interest me unlike the original YGO. Anyway, for this picture, I decided to draw up all the main characters of YGO. And yes, that includes Ryou Bakura. One thing I hate about the anime is how much they neglect poor Ryou. I never understood why. Which is why in the series I am rewriting, he will be in a lot more. You’re going to see how. Also, this picture is a cover art for my rewriting YGO series on Quotev. Yes, I am rewriting the series. There will be major differences and it’s not because my characters are in it. Anyway, that is all I have to say on the matter. Man it feels good to be drawing these characters. T-T I missed them all so much!
