The Actual Functional Spell Book:Perfect for your spellcasting sims!
Over two years ago, I made this simple tuning mod that just turned the book stand from the Vampires game pack into a podium. After Realm of Magic came out, I saw some great potential for this mod and, with the help from the amazing @forgottenhollow-secretgarden, I was able to essentially bring the spell book stand from Sims 2 into the Sims 4!
There are a lot of working features with this mod. You can check your spell book and study from each of the four schools of magic. Each one gives you magical experience and gives your sim the possibility to learn spells. You can also discover potions, but I recommend using this mod to make it so you don’t bottle up potions whenever you learn a recipe. It still utilizes the practice speech animations, but I added unique speech bubbles for each interaction. The spell book also counts under the “cast spells” and “use cauldron” club activities from Get to Work.
Compatibility: I added custom interactions that are only available to vampire witches if you have @forgottenhollow-secretgarden‘sVampire Magic Mod. It’s not required, but I do really recommend it! The spell book will also recognize any custom spells or potions if you have the Spellbook Injector Mod.
This has been a fun experience to experiment with modding and create something that’s actually functional! I’m super happy with how this mod turned out and I hope your spellcasting sims will enjoy it, too!
The mesh is from Vampires, so it is required. Realm of Magic is required. It has the 8 swatches from the original book stand. You can find the item in the Activities/Knowledge section in Build/Buy. There are custom thumbnails. French translation courtesy of @maiagamefr.

Sul Sul! I always noticed that a lot of people struggle finding gothic and/or alternative cc for their sims, so I have decided to compile a list of all the creators I know. I will update this list whenever I find more. Also a reminder that cc shopping for alt clothes is a lot like thrifting in real life too!

Its Autumn and especially Halloween very soon. Out of my cc collection there is nothing more fitting then the Gothic, Tudor and Victorian items and I would like to share them with you just in time. I think a highlight of this set are the Harry Potter inspired objects, you could try and recreate Professor Dumbledore’s Office if you’d like. This Collection also comes with a set of Victorian seating and dining tables and two grand Tudor fireplaces :) There are Wallpapers too, but me silly forgot to take pictures of them :D
