The Actual Functional Spell Book:Perfect for your spellcasting sims!
Over two years ago, I made this simple tuning mod that just turned the book stand from the Vampires game pack into a podium. After Realm of Magic came out, I saw some great potential for this mod and, with the help from the amazing @forgottenhollow-secretgarden, I was able to essentially bring the spell book stand from Sims 2 into the Sims 4!
There are a lot of working features with this mod. You can check your spell book and study from each of the four schools of magic. Each one gives you magical experience and gives your sim the possibility to learn spells. You can also discover potions, but I recommend using this mod to make it so you don’t bottle up potions whenever you learn a recipe. It still utilizes the practice speech animations, but I added unique speech bubbles for each interaction. The spell book also counts under the “cast spells” and “use cauldron” club activities from Get to Work.
Compatibility: I added custom interactions that are only available to vampire witches if you have @forgottenhollow-secretgarden‘sVampire Magic Mod. It’s not required, but I do really recommend it! The spell book will also recognize any custom spells or potions if you have the Spellbook Injector Mod.
This has been a fun experience to experiment with modding and create something that’s actually functional! I’m super happy with how this mod turned out and I hope your spellcasting sims will enjoy it, too!

This preset reduces the blueish tone of the base game. It also adds a harder lightning (stronger highlights and shadows), intensifies the shadows thrown by objects and also adds a depth of field (DOF) effect. Edge smoothingandsharpening are also included.

PcNerd on LoversLab (making an account is easy and so easy for access to more “sexual” or “graphic” mods) made this slider + overlays that are just perfect to give a flat chest to your femine frame sim! It’s easy to use and is just BEAUTIFUL. It’s so good for a neutral chest aesthetic too!!
NeonOcean on ModTheSims made this mod that lets you assign pronouns beyond the binary to your sims so the game can properly refer to your sim, which also includes binary pronouns that you can give sims with “opposite” frames.
Huge thanks to creators who make queer mods, the sims can be a beautiful outlet to explore identity and deal with dysphoria. As silly as it may seem, I think I’m actually going to show my sim to my therapist and surgeon when the time comes. I shaped it perfectly to my ideals, and it’s allowing me to see my body like in my dreams.

So, if you don’t know I made a camera mod a while ago and it was created because I assumed the issue with my previous camera mod had to do with the new first person camera being added and that some code was missing from the old mod. Come to find out that isn’t correct and I forgot to make a post with the addendum. What was actually happening was that the camera mod was adding another camera to the game and if you moved too fast, which the mod allowed you to do, it would separate the cameras causing the fuck ups.
SO here is what I did instead. I made another .ini file and replaced it with the file in the BIN folder that houses the game. I’m gonna include that here and if you want to use it, go ham. I recommend saving the original camera.ini file in case something goes wrong.
Steps:
Remove the original mod from your mods folder for the reasons stated above.
Go to :C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\res
Copy the Camera.ini file to a secure location (I just put it on my desktop)
Paste the new file into the folder: :C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\res
????
Profit
if there is an issue, simply place the original camera file back in the res folder. I am not much of a modder, so there isn’t much to it. Also, you will have to do this every time the game updates or you repair your game.
Edit April 2022: Hi! I do not recommend using this mod for your camera. It will replace the new camera that EA added in an update. The new camera has features that this mod does not. This mod will not break your game, but do keep that in mind when downloading this.

Making my way through various CAS files, I found something that I thought might be interesting to at least someone?
You know, how when you go into CAS, one of EAs sims shows up as the starting sim? You can replace these sims with your own sims. Or, in case you have a certain sim style, you can make it so that only a certain sim, that you want to use as a base, shows up.
Below I show how to do it and share files that you can use as a base (as well as some examples with my own sims).
This is how it works:
There are 20 Sim Preset files with female sims and 20 Sim Preset files with male sims that the game picks from when you go into CAS.
Each Sim Preset file references a Sim Info file which, basically, has the information about how the sim looks.
And you can replace the referenced Sim Info files with Sim Info files of your own sim(s).
Here is how to do it (it’s basically a little trick I learned from @mizoreyukii ’s tutorial for Custom Styled Looks). I realize this looks like a lot but those are just a few simple steps :D:
Save the sim(s) you want to use to your Library. If you use different sims, make sure the sims have distinct names, since the ID of your Sim Info files is derived from your sims name and you don’t want the file names to overlap.
Next, open up Sims 4 Studio, go to the Tab “Content Management” and select “My Library”:
A window will pop up that shows the sims that are saved in your Library. [Note: There’s a little bug in S4S, when in case you changed your game language settings at some point (as I did), S4S will still navigate to the old Tray folder (even though the path to “Sims 4 Documents” is set correctly in the S4S settings). As a workaround, you can copy paste the files from your current Tray folder to the old one.]
From the overview select the household with your sim. Then, select the sim on the right panel, right click the sim and select “Export .SimInfo”. Save the file to a location of your choice.
Download the zip file I linked below and open the included package file with EAs sims (either male or female, depending on which sims you want to replace) in Sims 4 Studio. (If you set Sims 4 Studio as the standard program to open package files, you can just double click the package file to open it.)
Inside each file there’s a list with 20 sim presets. Each Sim Preset references a “SimInfoInstanceID”, as shown in the example below, that you will need to replace in the next step:
Hit “Batch Import” in order to add the Sim Info file that you previously exported from your Library.
Copy the Instance ID from the Sim Info file. You can copy it from here:
Paste this ID as the “SimInfoFileInstanceID” to the Sim Preset (replace the existing entry). If you want to use the same sim for all files, copy the same Sim Info ID as reference to all Sim Presets, otherwise add the other Sim Info files you wanna use the same way as described above and copy the different IDs to the different Sim Presets.
Save the package file and put it into your Mods folder.
The download above is a zip file (you need to unzip it with a free program like WinRAR or 7-Zip) and includes the following package files (each for male and female sims):
Original Files with EAs sims (*)

Example with 4 male sims and 4 female sims

In my attempt to create more decent looking randomized sims, I went through the various body & facial presets (as well as eyebrows, beards and skintones) and picked those that, at least in my opinion, look decent on most sims, thus, hopefully, making for more decent looking randomized sims on average. In addition to the presets selection, I adjusted some parameters used for adding variation to the body presets. Kids and toddler presets are not included in this mod, and I also didn’t bother with occult specific presets.
One thing I was trying to do are stronger and more natural looking facial features. For example, I went for stronger jaws and wider noses, but then also deselected a lot of the eye presets that look somewhat crooked or cartoon-like to me. I also selected the more smooth looking chins, cheeks and foreheads presets.
Eyebrows and beards also make a huge difference, in my opinion. I only left a few neutral options for both. This, by the way, also makes it more likely for a randomized sim not to have a beard. (Per default, the game just picks randomly from all of the beard options, therefore, almost all randomized male sims show up with a beard.)
And yep, the skintones. I think the texture of many skintones looks either patchy or is otherwise poorly made (although I’m not sure if this is partly an issue with certain graphic cards/computers). I actually deselected a bunch of the lighter skintones from the neutral and the cold panel, because they look somewhat unnatural to me with the very grey or even purple undertones. As well as a few others. (As you can’t disallow skintones for randomization like you can with other body presets, I used a workaround by reassigning those skintones as vampire skintones, so they won’t show up randomly on normal sims anymore.)
Besides, a huge frustration factor for me has always been the poor posture on (for the most part) male sims. There are actually only two male body presets with a decent posture. I used them (as well as a third one) but adjusted both to some degree to look more like the average human body. I also only used three of the female body presets and adjusted one of them (the skinny curvy one) to be a bit heavier than the default.
Overall I’m quite happy with the result for female sims and, well, I did my best for the male sims under given circumstances :D At some point I needed to call it a day, so here it is:
The files with the deselected eyebrows, beards and skintones will count as cc and trigger the cc flag. Besides, the deselected eyebrows and beards will be also excluded for genetic randomization (other presets are not affected based on my testing). So I provide those files separately for easy removal (and in case you only wanna use some parts of the mod).
For more experienced users: You can also unmerge the body presets package file with S4S to receive the sub-files for body, cheeks, chins, eyes, headshape, jaws, mouths and noses as well as the tuning file, if you want to pick only certain parts of the mod here, as well, or adjust the files. (Half of this enterprise was actually looking up the presets and organizing them into categories.) Please note, if you mess around with the files in S4S, don’t save over the tuning file, it’s a certain type of file that needs special handling when saving in S4S (I used a workaround so that the decimals would actually be saved correctly).
Questions, conflicts and TOU:
For clarification: This mod only disallows certain presets to be picked when a sim is randomized. All presets are still “there” and can be picked manually in CAS.
Same as for the mod “No Make-Up & No Accessories On Randomized Sims”, this mod might conflict with other mods aiming at manipulating body preset parameters. Let me know if you encounter any conflicting mods or issues.

CAS Mod - No Make-Up & No Accessories on Randomized Sims
This mod disables make-up and accessories (incl. tattoos and hats) when randomizing a sim in CAS. As a bonus, from my understanding & testing, the same game mechanic is then also applied for any randomly generated townies in-game (not including NPC outfits).
As someone who spends countless hours in CAS and gets quickly frustrated with randomized townie outfits, I felt like this could be useful
Possible conflicts:This mod is an override of a game file that also includes a small number of other CAS parameters, in particular maximum settings for fitness/slimness sliders. So it might conflict with other mods aiming at modifying these CAS parameters. Feel free to let me know if you know of or encounter any conflicting mods - I will then add the info to this post.
