Slecetion help from my friend @cursedvideogamesfromaperson, and the animatic for Nicky might be inspired by @satans-cake old animatic for Alexandra(Even tho I know he doesn’t like the animatic- I mean, tone-wise, my guy, don’ worry -u-’’) so yea, but of course, I gotta finish the one I’m working on at the moment!

April 21, 1892

«I read his diary, he (Nicholas 2) brought it with him. I was very interested in one day in the diary, this is April 1, where he writes about Alice of H (Alix of Hesse) and about me. He likes Alice very much, he has already told me about it before, and I am seriously starting to be jealous of her…»

From the diary of Mathilde Kschessinska.

Her last entry:

Yekaterinburg 3/16 July

Irina’s 23d birthday. Grey morning, later lovely sunshine. Baby has a slight cold. All went out ½ hour in the morning. Olga and I arrange our medicines. Tatiana read spiritual readings. They went out. Tatiana stayed with me and we read: The Book of the prophet Amos and prophet Obadiah. Every morning the commandant comes to our rooms: at last after a week brought eggs again for Baby.

8: Supper. Suddenly Lenka Sednev was fetched to go and see his uncle and flew off -wonder whether it’s true and we shall see the boy back again! Played bezique with N. 10:30 to bed. 15 degrees.

• Lenka Sednev = Leonid Sednev, the kitchen boy.

• Leonid Sednev’s uncle was Ivan Sednev…who was already murdered

.he new crowned Emperor Nicholas II and his wife Empress Alexandra Feodorovna had made a visit to the Austrian empire in 1896. We can see in the slides some illustrations during their visit, in the 3rd slide the Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria talking to the Russian Empress and next to her, Elizabeth the Empress of Austria nicknamed Sisi and Emperor Nicholas II,and the 4rth slide we can see a zoom in of that illustration showing the two Empresses who were considered to be the most beautiful at their times. Actually, Empress Alexandra saw Sisi 9 years ago when she was Princess Alix of Hesse, she was so impressed by her charm character and beauty. “On Saturday we saw the Empress of Austria, and I was perfectly enchanted with her. She has a most lovely, tall & thin figure (50 years old) and such a pretty face & soft voice.” wrote to her brother Prince Ernest of Hesse, 3 August 1887. “How funny it is to hear German spoken everywhere after 2 years in Russia. […] Nicky drove with the Emperor [of Austria] & I followed with the Empress - I must say I am shy with all these masses of strange faces again. The Empress I had already seen twice before - she enquired after you. - Stephanie [the Dowager Crown Princess of Austria] was directly charming - she must be coming now in a minute - as she wanted to see me a little quietly. […] At 5 there is an immense Dinner & Cercle (oh dear) & parade, then Pürschen for Nicky. At 4 family dinner at Leinz, then drive & later a Concert here in the Burg. It is such a pitty [sic] that as soon as the Empress does not appear Stephanie neither does, as she would have been such a great help to me.” wrote to her brother Ernest the Duke of Hesse 15/27th of August 1896

a-romanov-tribute:

Both Nicholas I and Nicholas II’ s consort converted their names to Alexandra Feodorovna.

Nicholas I married Charlotte of Prussia and Nicholas II married Alex of Hesse. Both marriages were happy.

However, in personality they were very different, Charlotte was the obedient and admiring supporter of her husband’s views. Her personality was completely overshadowed by Nicholas I’s strong character. As empress, she had no interest in charity work.

Alix was very political, even interfering in her husband’s government affairs, highlighting his weak personality.

Grand Duke Nicholas Mikhailovich of Russia to Maria Feodorovna, «Various facts from November 12 to November 19, 1916»

Count Gudovich told me that his niece, the little Countess Hendrikova, told him that two ladies, i.e., A.F. (Alexandra Feodorovna) and Anya (Anna Vyrubova), had notebooks where the names of people of all classes were written alphabetically, and that in these notebooks they usually looked for people fit to be ministers. Admit that this is pure madness. There is only one remedy, Sandro and Pavel do not mind, it is for the closest, for you and your children to take the initiative to conduct a medical consultation of all our celebrities from a medical point of view, and then send them to a remote sanatorium, with or without Vyrubova, to undergo serious treatment. Otherwise, be prepared for any accidents. Tell that to Sandro-because that’s my firm opinion.

Grand Duke Nicholas Mikhailovich of Russia to Maria Feodorovna, «Various facts from December 17 to December 22, 1916»

The balding man writing to you has been thinking a lot, spending sleepless nights, running around the empty St. Petersburg embankments at dawn — and now he tells you — never look for the names of the brave souls who performed this act of civic courage, high patriotism and deliverance*. The word is silver, and silence is gold!

Madame (Alexandra Feodorovna) is madder than ever. On the night of the 19th, after the autopsy of the corpse, the order came to transport… the body of the insignificant to the emperor’s palace!!!

Two more appointments to positions took place under the influence of the murdered man …

Madame is getting more and more in charge of drowning Nicky… And time passes, gossip intensifies, the general situation inspires fears.

I’m putting the same dilemma before you again. After the hypnotist, it is necessary to try to neutralize A.F., while she is hypnotized. By all means, it is necessary to send her as far away as possible, either to a sanatorium or to a monastery. We are talking about saving the throne - not the dynasty, which is still strong, but the present sovereign. Otherwise it will be too late. … All Russia knows that the late Rasputin and A.F. are the same. If the first one is killed, the second one should disappear. The general peace of mind depends on it. …
