When you say two things are different, and you specifically state one thing has a certain feature, you are heavily implying (if not outright stating) that the other specifically does not have that feature.

If you say Box A and Box B are distinct, then describe them:
Box A is 6″X6″X6″ and made of cardboard;
Box B is 6″X6″X6″, made of cardboard and purple
Then (based on the information) Box A is necessarily not purple. If Box A was purple, they would not be distinct.

If you say pansexuality is distinct from bisexuality, then describe pansexuality as “attraction to all genders (inclusive of trans and NB people/with no gender preference/with no focus on genitals/with focus on personality/etc.)” then the implication is that the opposite is necessarily true of Bisexuality.

You’re saying bisexuality necessarily excludes trans and NB people.
You’re saying bisexuals necessarily have a gender preference.
You’re saying bisexuals necessarily focus on gender/genitals.
You’re saying bisexuals necessarily don’t focus on personality.

A fucked up memory just came back to me

I was in a psy clinic and it was the middle of the night and I had this burst of energy so I got up and made a coming out comic to my family (don’t ask)

The nurse doing her rounds checked on me and I told her what I was doing. I explained what bi ace meant and she straight up said she “doesn’t believe bi people are real because in the end they always choose one”

Naturally I was like wtf??

But today I realize that not only it was such a totally fucked up thing to say, but it was even more fucked up when you’re telling this to a coming out bi girl who is here for suicide attempt when she has a burst of energy in the middle of the night and then you leave her alone in her room????

i love being called queer in the sunny wonderful state of florida and then going online to people telling me queer isnt a slur and i should stop whimpering

it is really fucking upsetting to be told by your own community that your experience with a slur doesnt fucking matter because we all collectively decided it’s reclaimed, like reclaiming isnt a persoanl decision

the idea that i am somehow less progressive, uneducated, whiny, or stupid because i do not personally wanted to be called queer because ive been called a queer by people with the intent to harm me is honestly heartbreaking because youre supposed to have a basic understanding of the variety of experiences that exist in the lgbt community. im trying to not take this personally but every time a mutual posts about how STUPID people who say queer is a slur are i feel like somethings tearing at my chest.

Ya know, at this point, DC should just make Harley a lesbian superhero…cuz I haven’t seen her be bisexual or a freaking VILLAIN in YEARS!!

I’m sorry, what? Pardon??

What the hell do you mean you haven’t “seen her be bisexual” in years. It’s almost as if, when bi people fall in love with one person, they stick with that person. And that person for her is Ivy at the moment.

Doesn’t change that she’s had plenty of relationships with men in the past that were healthy and loving, regardless of the one with her abuser.

And she’s always been on this trajectory, Harley’s never been a Super Villain, y'all are asking for her character to be something that’s only contrived and created by fans who’re too stuck on the idea of never allowing her to develop.

ThisForever Bad, Forever Evil Harley Quinn is something purely fanon and has never had concrete evidence in the comics.

She has always shown to lead onto this development path once getting away from Joker, going back to BTAS.

She literally left the life of crime behind and had fucking grand kids in BTAS.
