I love this outfit, but I don’t know if I want to spend more time with it or change it. The weather has definitely put me in the mood for cozier fall clothes, and I’d like to make Jer look super stylish (that is, stylish at all…). Hm. .__.

Still trying to get caught up with recent hauls! This group is kind of all over the place. XD

First pic – cream knit hooded cardigan by maricotinha. So cozy! Their work is sometimes hard to find a good blog post for – they didn’t always document “for sale” items clearly, and they used a lot of their own work for personal photos. (Which is normal, obviously, but their personal and work photos are mixed together and it’s not always obvious which is intended to be which.) Anyway. This is gonna be great for cooler weather.

Second pic – also a cardigan by maricotinha, in a delicious dark charcoal gray. (I thought I had the link to a blog post about it, but I’ve lost it… I’ll edit this once i find it again.) I don’t usually go this dark for V, but it’s such a perfect shape and material and color that I can’t wait to play with it. ;o; <3

Third pic – a cool purple top, again by maricotinha. I’m a sucker for this color, as you might know. XD

Fourth pic – black and white striped turtleneck, yes, by maricotinha. This came paired with the Romantica* top from my previous clothing post, and I wasn’t sure who it was by at first. I came across the blog post randomly… and it’s like the only time it shows up in their photos? Like I said, their work can be hard to track. I like the decorative buttons at the neck. (Also, I WANT that mustard yellow top. Cry!)

Fifth pic – super basic turtleneck by maricotinha. I think it’s this old style, which came in a couple different shades? They made tons of different turtlenecks with various materials and types of finishing. This will come in handy for layering.

Sixth pic – elegant pleated skirtby+d. I bought it reflexively because it’s +d, but now I wonder if it’s a little too glamorous for V? I’ll have to try it out on her and see if I can make it work. Is she maybe too mousy for it? Hm.

Seventh pic – neat long military-green jacket, also by +d. Lots of buttons and details! I bought this specifically for Jer, because I think the pseudo-army look suits him.

Eighth pic – plaid button-down top by Fuga Lupinus. It’s kind of… blueberry? I feel like you don’t see this kind of color much in doll clothes, or maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places. It’s too blue to be purple and not purple enough to be blue… should be fun to mess around with in outfits, probably for Jer or Dom.

Ninth pic – ridiculousfloofy gauze top by KABA. I don’t know quite what I’m going to do with it yet. I love how it looks on their Rigel, though, and I kinda want to mimic that outfit style for Joce. He’d look cute like that, right?

Tenth pic – another velvet*paw kitty hat+scarf for my collection! This one is the “milk tea x bitter” color combo. The fur is a different type from my other two, so it’ll make for a nice change. These things are just too cute. :o~~

Onward~

Playing catch-up with arrivals, because if I get caught up, I can play with stuff. XD

First pic – a dreamy and colorful outfit set by “Mobile General Store”, apparently inspired by “melon-flavored candy drops”. It sure looks like it! I’d been eyeing this for Joce for a while and finally pulled the trigger. My plan is to pair the set with his KABA kitty-eared flight cap, but I think the components will be fun to mix and match with other pieces, too.

Second pic – a sought-after cardigan, in “rose”, from velvet*paw. I have several other cardigans in this style (gray and green), and I love them. Whether I use it for my boys, or oversized for V, this color will be a fantastic addition to the collection. Plus… it’s pink. <3

Third pic – basic underwear from noinoiDOLL. AKA, a purchase I’ve been putting off because buying underwear is boring, but after all these years, I think I might finally have enough for all of my dolls. That’s a BJD collector lifetime goal, right??

Fourth pic – cute wintry YoSD set, by an unknown dealer. There are lots of neat details to tie the outfit together, so I’m interested to see what it will look like on. It’s untagged, but I hope to figure out the maker eventually.

Fifth pic – Volks YoTenshi gown. I don’t typically buy company stuff anymore, but I’ve always liked this one. Plus, it was cheap, and I thought if nothing else, I wouldn’t have spent much on it if I needed to modify it for, say, KiKi’s use.

Sixth pic – brown straw hat by Mode Etlan. I like hats! I like their hats in particular; they’re so well-made and stylish. This will probably be for Dom primarily, but it may end up on a lot of different heads. The light color makes it feel summery, don’t you think?

Seventh pic – also a straw hat, but untagged. It’s pink! I haven’t tried it on anyone’s head yet… it feels enormous compared to the previous hat, but that may just be the style. (Orrrr it’s for Blythe, and that’ll be a pickle. XD )

Done with that batch! Time to switch gears for a while…

So! Back in August, I won a ridiculous(andridiculously cool) lot of stuff that, it turned out, I was able to (fairly confidently) trace back to a particular doll blog, due to the specific mix of dealer pieces they’d owned and photographed. It was pretty neat! When I won the auction, I had been under the impression that they were selling the last of their doll collection after getting out the hobby years ago.

Only… it was just the beginning. XD

Recently, they added several more listings with tons of additional things I was hankering after, which also provided further evidence that I had the provenance correct. Knowing who the previous owner was helped immensely in identifying some of the items from the listings! It was also lots of fun to see how they had styled and used the pieces, plus there’s just the good ol’ dash of nostalgia.

Anyway. So I got a big (and I mean big; it was nearly a doll-sized box full of clothes) package from my proxy the other day. The previous owner was a collector after my own heart. ;o; <3

First pic – gorgeous Lush Berry dress, still in package. This is one of their classic styles, and I’ve been eyeing it every time one came up for sale. The Y!J listing photos weren’t comprehensive, so I guessed that there was a Lush Berry item in there based on the package design, but I didn’t realize it’d be this one. It was a lucky surprise!

Second pic – also a fun surprise, this is a simple but beautiful dress from Tremolo (I think they went through a few name changes). I’ve been trying to get some of their stuff for ages! This was separated from the rest of the set, sadly, but I’m grateful to have it at all.

Third pic – WORKSHOP dress/top in black, with a very interesting texture. I don’t know if I’ll use it much – maybe for Joce? – or even end up keeping it, but it is neat nonetheless.

Fourth pic – also by WORKSHOP, a lovely little white blouse with lace and pintucks. It could use some help to get it to lay flat after being in storage forever, but it’s quite cute. As it’s not tagged, this is one of the instances where being familiar with the previous owner’s blog came in handy!

Fifth pic – another surprise; this top turned out to be from a your my baby set. I would love to own the rest of it someday! This dealer hasn’t released many things over the years, so it’s wonderful to have another of their pieces.

Sixth pic – plaid skirt by Maricotinha. I am a sucker for plaid, I am a sucker for purple, and I am a sucker for Maricotinha’s works. So. Yeah. It’ll be on V eventually! XD

Seventh pic – a grail item! This reversible balloon skirt by Aprism has been a dream of mine for over a decade. It’s so soft and floofy and adorable, and I can’t believe I finally own it. For some reason, I think of this as very emblematic of Aprism (+ Citron). <3

Eighth pic – yes, it’s another velvet*paw kitty hat+scarf. Since it’s “ash” gray this time, that makes it totally different from the other… three… that I own. Right? Right. And anyway, it was part of a lot and I wasn’t going to say “no” to it once I had it in my hands, so there it is.

This group of things were really all over the place, huh? The second part is a little more cohesive, so stay tuned~

A fun Yahoo!Japan package arrived yesterday, joining a tiny DollyTeria package that had been delivered a few days before. I was pretty excited about some of these pieces, so I had to get them processed right away. XD

First pic – “Nirvana” pattern open collar shirt by Euphoria. So cute. This is the fun beach-y type of shirt I like for Justyn, and I’m actually (sort of) looking forward to warmer weather so I can justify putting him in it.

Second pic – “Mount Fuji” shirt by Yucca. In fact, I love this type of shirt so much for Justyn that I found him another one, too. The design on the back is fantastic and so unique.

Third pic – navy & white striped top by Mugendou. I haven’t decided if this will stay yet; the design is cute and the quality is high, as expected, but it might be a little off from my boys’ usual style. I’ll give it some more thought.

Fourth pic – “DC-6 dolman tunic in gray” by velvet*paw. This is another one I’m a little unsure about. It’s an adorable style, but I don’t know who would wear it; the gray + black combo is too dark for Justyn, and too cutesy for the other boys. Maybe oversized, on Joce…?

Fifth pic – something of a surprise, a subtly-striped knit top by WORKSHOP. This was part of a lot listing that didn’t offer many details on the dealer names. I thought perhaps it was an older Plug style, but it’s clearly tagged inside with the old WORKSHOP ribbon. I definitely want to try to make use of this; it has some neat detailing in that the hems purposely rely on the nature of the fabric to curl, to give it dimension. It’s a cool effect in person.

Sixth pic – saurel suspender pants by JAM. I. LOVE. These. I couldn’t explain to you why, but I do. I’ve been hankering for them for a while – the dealer has made several variations with different types of straps – and I was ecstatic to find a pair pop up on Y!J. They’ll probably be for Dom because of course they are, but look at that crazy crotch design. How could I pass it up? XD?

Seventh pic – a much sought-after keychain/accessory by Fuga Lupinus. This has somewhat similar colors to the other one I have, but other details are different. For example, it has a little bell attached to the bottom! (The package kept chiming while I was opening it up.) I would love to collect more of these someday, but as with most Fuga accessories, they’re hard to come by.

Eighth pic – another Choi-Cafe knit kitty-eared cardigan, this time in pink. Just gotta collect ‘em all!

Ninth pic – YoSD high-neck tunic “b:TT- 2 in lilac”…

Tenth pic – and “b:TT- 3 in navy blue” by velvet*paw. Finally, some of these shirts for my little girls! I want to get the pink one, too, although a third color of any type would be okay, I think. These shirts look sweet on their own or layered under other tops, so they’ll be interesting to play with.

And that’s all (for now). ^^~*
