The other half of the Yahoo!Japan box! These were from a couple of separate listings, but they’re… all Fuga Lupinus, so you have an idea of where my heart lies. XD

First pic – fantastic “toffee nut” pullover. Both the print and fabric are just wonderful. This was part of a “chocolate tops” set release, along with the two brown turtlenecks I acquired back in May (which were “ganache” and “truffle chocolate”). For Justyn, most likely?

Second pic – a droolworthy vest. If I’m not mistaken, this is handknit; it’s soft and adorable and I don’t think Fuga offered many things like it. I don’t have any definite plans for it at the moment, but I’m sure I’ll come up with something eventually. I wonder what would look nice under it…

Third pic – waffle-knit top, AKA another piece I’ve been in love with since the preview pics hit. It’s a thermal shirt! So cute. I can’t believe I finally own it. Even though it’ll be gargantuan on her, I want to put it on V at least once.

Fourth pic – basic oversized white t-shirt. It’s the same exaggerated shape as the “rose” shirt I snagged last year, just without any other decoration. Because it’s so plain, it might be neat to layer a brightly colored Kyrie/Euphoria/Miel tank under it and get color in an outfit that way.

Fifth pic – basic white tank. Surprisingly, I think this is the first white one I have? I have tons of tanks in different colors and prints, and a few black styles from various dealers, but this might be the only one that’s just… white. Huh. It will undoubtedly come in handy.

Sixth pic – summery blue cardigan. The fabric is loose and almost sheer, and it shimmers in the right light. It’s very interesting. It’ll work well for most of the boys for various reasons – the blue would look good with Dom’s eye, it’s bright and beachy for Justyn, and so forth.

Seventh pic – batwing top in a textured ivory fabric. I have another in the same style, but the fabrics make quite a difference when they’re next to each other in person.

Eighth pic – coveted. I love food shirts for my dolls. I also love pineapple. (Yes, I’m a pineapple-belongs-on-pizza person.) So this is a match made in heaven. Because it is food-themed, it will be Justyn’s and probably Justyn’s alone. :O~

Ninth pic – adorable necklace. Love the poofy pompom! It, along with the blue cardigan and ivory batwing top, were part of a summer set a while back. (I already own the same fruit print shorts that were included in the set.)

Tenth pic – finally! I have one of the famous bolo ties in another color! It’s been a long uphill battle; these things are hard to come by and always seem to be viciously fought over when they show up. The lavender colors are amazing. I think it could work for V, even, and it’ll be fun to use for Vincynt (who traditionally gets all things purple) and Justyn (because he get soft colors). I’m a little shocked to have another one of these after all this time. XD

That’ll probably be it for now!

I have one more tiny DollyTeria batch that will have to wait a while longer (it’s been… weeks already…). I hate feeling so grinchy when it comes to the holidays, but December always seems like such a horrible, stressful slog where I can’t seem to accomplish anything for myself. It’s killing me that it’s winter already and I still haven’t photographed fall outfits. ;o;

It’s almost over, though, and hopefully I can make some time for doll photos and outfits and fun things again after this weekend.

A big Yahoo!Japan package arrived from my proxy’s recently… finally trying to get it processed so I can play with it all once the holiday stress dies down.

First & second pics – matching YoSD dress sets by Lush Berry. I’ve had their Twitter post bookmarked for ages, hoping I would eventually be able to find these to add to my collection. I’m so pleased! Now I just need to find a third… and maybe the turtlenecks, too? XD

Third pic – gorgeous floral print corduroy jacket by Kyrie. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but… I love corduroy. The combination of fabric + print in a jacket style like this is both outrageous and cool. I’m sure it will end up on Dom first, and not just because the floral print is the same as these pants I photographed him in a while back, heh.

Fourth pic – butterfly top, also by Kyrie. What makes this unique is the way the neckline is cut along the top of the butterfly’s wings. It’s an interesting design decision, to say the least, and I don’t think I’ve seen another shirt like it.

Fifth pic – cropped white jeans, again by Kyrie. And, no, you’re not imagining it; you’ve seen something like these from me before! They’re the second pair I’ve owned, only this pair is from the later release, indicated by the studs on the pocket rather than a tiny silver skull. My thought is that Justyn will end up using these the most, and the skull doesn’t suit him. Plain studs will be more versatile.

Sixth pic – stylish sweater and dickey set by Silver Butterfly. As usual, there are tons of neat details to these pieces, like the elbow patches on the sweater and the pintucks of the dickey. I honestly thought the teal collar would be sewn in place, but it turned out to be entirely removable. This gives it a ton of mixing and matching options! I think Vince and Dom will share the sweater, but the teal dickey is gonna be fun to play with for everyone.

Seventh pic – “Ability” T by Alfheim, this time in black. I’m not 100% sure I’ll keep this, only because I already have the same style in a dusty blue. Black and white shirts can be more useful because they “go” with everything, but I’ve really been loving the chance to do more with colors in my dolls’ wardrobes than I have in the past. Still, we’ll see. It’s here now, anyway!

Eighth pic – basic soft yellowish long-sleeve shirt by Fuga Lupinus. Speaking of color! The style is beautifully basic, but I’m so in love with everything about it. Fuga’s work just ticks a lot of boxes for me, and I’m thrilled to add this to the stash.

Ninth pic – fun! and loud! button-down top, also by Fuga Lupinus. It has brightly colored birds and flowers on it; what’s not to love? Justyn’s getting it first, without a doubt, and it kinda makes me wish for summer… (only kinda, though). Even if warm weather is months away, I’m looking forward to using this. <3

And that’s this batch!

Most of these, other than the two Lush Berry sets and the Alfheim shirt, came from the same listing, believe it or not. The lot was pretty sizable, and the seller wasn’t sure about what everything was, which might have worked out in my favor, since the description didn’t mention the Fuga Lupinus stuff, for example, or the Silver Butterfly sweater. It was a lucky score, all in all!

Working through a disjointed mess of backlog acquisitions. Most of this stuff is from DollyTeria, with the exception of one thing from Yahoo!Japan. It’s also been sitting around for weeks, so… I’m looking forward to finally getting this out of the way. XD

First, second, & third pics – classic Soylent Green SD-size leather boots, in basic neutrals. I’ve adored owning the pairs I already had in magenta and teal, but having some regular, boring colors will be great for outfits, too. The black and brown came with boxes (and with a pretty floral label design!). I’m not sure any of the three pairs were ever used, though, so I’m cramming them on Joce and V as soon as I can. They’re too great not to be worn! <3

Fourth pic – long ribbed armwarmers by +d. These are also destined to be a staple item! +d has made other variations of these with extra decorations (fur and lace), but these are just the plain ones.

Fifth pic – black lace/mesh stockings by KABA. Looking at them again, I wonder who I had in mind when I grabbed these… I might put them on Joce, honestly. Maybe with the black Soylent Green boots? I’m not sure who else they would suit.

Sixth pic – cute cream stockings by girlish*kiss. I love the delicate textures of the fabric. These are definitely going to be for V.

Seventh pic – fantastic “Treasure Hunter” set by OILSHOCK. It’s another gorgeous triangle stole (with glittery crown print) for my collection, plus the matching necklace. I don’t think this was ever removed from its package, and I couldn’t bring myself to do it just yet… it’ll happen eventually, though. I have to pair the scarf with my map-print Soylent Green boots at some point. XD

Eighth pic – random little black velvet headband and printed fabric scrunchie. Completely unsure of the makers… they came bundled with Citron stuff, but I’m pretty sure they’re not either Citron or Aprism. I guess the scrunchie might have been an Aprism thing, or a little giveaway, but I’ve not see it before, either way. I don’t know if I’ll end up keeping either, but I wanted to make note of them.

Ninth pic – really odds and ends! This is a bunch of extra papers, mini postcards, inserts, and other promo things from Citron (+ Aprism) releases. I feel like they got shoved into a listing as a bonus because DT wasn’t sure what else to do with them, although the previous owner obviously kept them pretty meticulously. The green “Joyeux Noel” card might be the most interesting of the batch, as it details the original order placed (for the “blue sky” scissor pouch), including the person’s name. I’ve blocked that out here, just in case, but it’s a nice detail that Citron printed out cards like that for individual orders.

Back to more exciting photos! Of dolls’ faces! Probably. XD

Some accessories that came in a while back! It was fun to unpack all of these; the lots I won them from were treasure troves of goodies.

First & second pics – more bolo ties by Fuga Lupinus to add to the collection. There are so many color and shape combos!

Third pic – “India” keychain charm by Fuga Lupinus. This is an older style and not as iconic as their yarn pompom ones, but it’s amazingly bright and pretty. I hope I can figure out ensembles that will do it justice.

Fourth pic – soft and gentle necklace, also by Fuga Lupinus. It will probably look nice on Justyn, but I also want to try it out on V.

Fifth pic – black leather belt/harness by KABA. I have it in dark brown, too, but black might prove to be useful. Mostly for Vincynt, I guess?

Sixth pic – black leather bunny mask, also by KABA. The design has gone through a couple of different iterations. It’s a bit misshapen from being in storage, so I need to work on that. I’m not really sure how to use it yet – if it were the cat version, it’d definitely be for Joce, and if it were in natural brown instead of black, it’d be for V. But black + bunny… I’ll have to experiment.

Seventh pic – cute horn accessory, again by KABA. It’s maybe more of a mystery than the other pieces, but hopefully I’ll find a use for it. Possibly it’d work even as background filler? Who knows. That’s a problem for a future me. XD

Eighth pic – french macaron set by Citron, a most coveted piece. I have wished for these for ages… and ages… and ages… and now I finally own them, still in their adorable little package. ;o; <3

Ninth pic – another CoCoon scarf for the collection as well. I knew I would be getting it from the auction pics, but it wasn’t clear that this was, in fact, YoSD sized! It’s my first for Yos. Will I give it to MiMi first? Maybe. >_>

Tenth pic – cute “basket” by HavEy SyRop. At least, I’m pretty sure? They don’t have pics of versions with dark pink flowers, just white, but the style seems very consistent and would make sense, considering other pieces from them I’ve purchased from the same seller. There’s some color transfer on the lace, which is a shame, but it’s not a big surprise given its age. It’ll be easy to overlook once it’s in use.

And that’s it for now! The Fuga pieces and the Citron macarons are my favorites, but the whole batch is really pleasing.

Last of the packages for now – these things have been building up at my proxy’s and I finally had to ship them. They’re heavily weighted toward a couple of my favorite dealers, so it’s hard to complain! XD

First pic – super soft and lovely pants by Fuga Lupinus. They look like denim, but the fabric more like a brushed flannel. It’s unusual, to be sure. The bright, light blue color will be perfect for spring and summer. I’m thinking Justyn will get the most use out of them because of it. I love having more of Fuga’s pants; they’re very satisfying.

Second pic – another coveted Fuga Lupinus bolo tie to add to the collection! These are always so fought over on auction. I get why, though. This is a really lovely combination of colors, and I think it’ll mostly be for Jer.

Third pic – a bolo tie of a different sort! The poofy yarn pompom ones aren’t as prevalent as the previous type, both in terms of how many were made and how often they show up for sale. (I had to fight for this one, too!) Having an accessory like this in red will make for a nice change of pace.

Fourth pic – adorable girlish*kiss overalls. Love the pintucks and lace, plus the frilly hems. For V, naturally.

Fifth pic – pretty little brown vest, again by girlish*kiss. The fabric is brushed, like the jeans above, giving it kind of a suede-like look without actually being suede. This was a piece I’d seen on Mandarake (as an old sold-out listing) and had wished for, so it was a lucky strike that I was finally able to own one. Both V and Joce will look good in it.

Sixth pic – more girlish*kiss shorts! They’re very similar to a pair I already own, minus the color. That’s fine by me, as I love the style and having a different fabric option is always a bonus when building outfits. Plus, as with Fuga works, girlish*kiss items are always very satisfying in and of themselves.

Seventh pic – the odd piece out, this is untagged and I’m unsure of the maker. It came with the girlish*kiss stuff. I don’t know if I’ll keep it, in the end, but I figured I’d photograph it anyway and then decide. Of course, I’d love to find out where it came from, so let me know if you have any leads in the meantime!

Next up… real photos, perhaps?

Sorry, not sorry! XD

This is the other half of the recent auction winnings… There was more besides, but some of it I knew I wasn’t going to keep (doubles, company clothes) and some of it I haven’t decided on yet, so I figured I would hold off on photos for the time being. This stuff, though; this stuff I know is staying!

First pic – drapey Fuga Lupinus cardigan, in gray. I have the same cardigan in black, as well. As before, I love the sewn details and tag style, and I can’t wait to use it.

Second pic – cool patterned pants, again by Fuga Lupinus. How could I notlove these? They’re made from a great fabric, with a great shape, and lots of extra fun little details, like the d-rings for attaching keychains. They’ll definitely be a blast to style.

Third pic – an older mod jacket by Silver Butterfly, with detachable fur-trimmed hood. I’m trying to be determined not to let Dom steal this one first; he has plenty of other coats! I want to let Jer have it for once. ;o;

Fourth pic – beautiful blue-gray cardigan, also by Silver Butterfly. The loose knit fabric is dreamy!

Fifth pic – this dyed tank top/dress is also wonderfully romantic! It’s a bit rumpled from storage, but it has such a fantastic look and feel regardless. I think it will suit V’s forlorn look perfectly, so I’m really excited about styling it.

Sixth pic – gorgeous long lace tube dress. The concept is simple, but the combination of fabrics really makes it stand out. It’s another piece that I think will be fun to build around.

Seventh pic – dress? top? I think this was intended for layering, maybe, or was part of a set. As usual with Silver Butterfly’s stuff, detailed photos… don’t really exist. XD

Eighth pic – A-line dress with tons of great details. The floral fabric is actually quite vibrant when viewed from the inside; the layer of fabric over it is what dulls the colors down, making for a very dreamy effect. Even in its current somewhat-wrinkled state, it’s a beautiful piece.

I’ll be honest, this is a very satisfying group. I love both Fuga Lupinus and Silver Butterfly, and the textures, colors, and fabrics used in all of these are just pleasing to the eye and hand. I hope I can come up with some worthy ensembles to photograph! ;o; <3

So! Back in August, I won a ridiculous(andridiculously cool) lot of stuff that, it turned out, I was able to (fairly confidently) trace back to a particular doll blog, due to the specific mix of dealer pieces they’d owned and photographed. It was pretty neat! When I won the auction, I had been under the impression that they were selling the last of their doll collection after getting out the hobby years ago.

Only… it was just the beginning. XD

Recently, they added several more listings with tons of additional things I was hankering after, which also provided further evidence that I had the provenance correct. Knowing who the previous owner was helped immensely in identifying some of the items from the listings! It was also lots of fun to see how they had styled and used the pieces, plus there’s just the good ol’ dash of nostalgia.

Anyway. So I got a big (and I mean big; it was nearly a doll-sized box full of clothes) package from my proxy the other day. The previous owner was a collector after my own heart. ;o; <3

First pic – gorgeous Lush Berry dress, still in package. This is one of their classic styles, and I’ve been eyeing it every time one came up for sale. The Y!J listing photos weren’t comprehensive, so I guessed that there was a Lush Berry item in there based on the package design, but I didn’t realize it’d be this one. It was a lucky surprise!

Second pic – also a fun surprise, this is a simple but beautiful dress from Tremolo (I think they went through a few name changes). I’ve been trying to get some of their stuff for ages! This was separated from the rest of the set, sadly, but I’m grateful to have it at all.

Third pic – WORKSHOP dress/top in black, with a very interesting texture. I don’t know if I’ll use it much – maybe for Joce? – or even end up keeping it, but it is neat nonetheless.

Fourth pic – also by WORKSHOP, a lovely little white blouse with lace and pintucks. It could use some help to get it to lay flat after being in storage forever, but it’s quite cute. As it’s not tagged, this is one of the instances where being familiar with the previous owner’s blog came in handy!

Fifth pic – another surprise; this top turned out to be from a your my baby set. I would love to own the rest of it someday! This dealer hasn’t released many things over the years, so it’s wonderful to have another of their pieces.

Sixth pic – plaid skirt by Maricotinha. I am a sucker for plaid, I am a sucker for purple, and I am a sucker for Maricotinha’s works. So. Yeah. It’ll be on V eventually! XD

Seventh pic – a grail item! This reversible balloon skirt by Aprism has been a dream of mine for over a decade. It’s so soft and floofy and adorable, and I can’t believe I finally own it. For some reason, I think of this as very emblematic of Aprism (+ Citron). <3

Eighth pic – yes, it’s another velvet*paw kitty hat+scarf. Since it’s “ash” gray this time, that makes it totally different from the other… three… that I own. Right? Right. And anyway, it was part of a lot and I wasn’t going to say “no” to it once I had it in my hands, so there it is.

This group of things were really all over the place, huh? The second part is a little more cohesive, so stay tuned~

A fun Yahoo!Japan package arrived yesterday, joining a tiny DollyTeria package that had been delivered a few days before. I was pretty excited about some of these pieces, so I had to get them processed right away. XD

First pic – “Nirvana” pattern open collar shirt by Euphoria. So cute. This is the fun beach-y type of shirt I like for Justyn, and I’m actually (sort of) looking forward to warmer weather so I can justify putting him in it.

Second pic – “Mount Fuji” shirt by Yucca. In fact, I love this type of shirt so much for Justyn that I found him another one, too. The design on the back is fantastic and so unique.

Third pic – navy & white striped top by Mugendou. I haven’t decided if this will stay yet; the design is cute and the quality is high, as expected, but it might be a little off from my boys’ usual style. I’ll give it some more thought.

Fourth pic – “DC-6 dolman tunic in gray” by velvet*paw. This is another one I’m a little unsure about. It’s an adorable style, but I don’t know who would wear it; the gray + black combo is too dark for Justyn, and too cutesy for the other boys. Maybe oversized, on Joce…?

Fifth pic – something of a surprise, a subtly-striped knit top by WORKSHOP. This was part of a lot listing that didn’t offer many details on the dealer names. I thought perhaps it was an older Plug style, but it’s clearly tagged inside with the old WORKSHOP ribbon. I definitely want to try to make use of this; it has some neat detailing in that the hems purposely rely on the nature of the fabric to curl, to give it dimension. It’s a cool effect in person.

Sixth pic – saurel suspender pants by JAM. I. LOVE. These. I couldn’t explain to you why, but I do. I’ve been hankering for them for a while – the dealer has made several variations with different types of straps – and I was ecstatic to find a pair pop up on Y!J. They’ll probably be for Dom because of course they are, but look at that crazy crotch design. How could I pass it up? XD?

Seventh pic – a much sought-after keychain/accessory by Fuga Lupinus. This has somewhat similar colors to the other one I have, but other details are different. For example, it has a little bell attached to the bottom! (The package kept chiming while I was opening it up.) I would love to collect more of these someday, but as with most Fuga accessories, they’re hard to come by.

Eighth pic – another Choi-Cafe knit kitty-eared cardigan, this time in pink. Just gotta collect ‘em all!

Ninth pic – YoSD high-neck tunic “b:TT- 2 in lilac”…

Tenth pic – and “b:TT- 3 in navy blue” by velvet*paw. Finally, some of these shirts for my little girls! I want to get the pink one, too, although a third color of any type would be okay, I think. These shirts look sweet on their own or layered under other tops, so they’ll be interesting to play with.

And that’s all (for now). ^^~*
