The red dharmachakra is a symbol of the Romani people and is displayed prominently on the international Romani flag. As an American of Cale Roma descent, I wanted to display my identity with pride while embodying this character.

the level of character assassination mcu “wanda” went thru in multiverse of madness is perhaps the only 616 wanda thing abt her its difficult to critique bc on 1 hand, White Women Be Like, but on the other, this is the misogyny + ableism that wanda has always been subjected to
it seems it shouldn’t have the added layer of racism, but it also…somehow still does? because the demonization they are subjecting mcu “wanda” to has been copy-pasted from the original demonization of wanda
the way that wanda has been negatively characterized in the comics is inextricable from racist stereotypes about roma women… the ways the comics displayed that racism is in full force in MoM.
there are parts of it that are more blatant than HoM. mcu “wanda”’s positioning as an evil witch coming to steal away someone else’s children is HIGHLY reminiscent of antiromani racist canards. even if she is trying to steal them from herself (her other self).
but this has precedent. the mcu suddenly remembers wanda is supposed to be roma only when they want to invoke racial stereotypes + canards. this is “sokovian fortune teller” part two
idk its hard for me to parse. but romani people will definitely have more insightful takes on this movie or this kind of whitewashing in general so please feel welcome to rb or reply w/ thoughts!

For date night this week you and Wanda decided on a night in. It has been a while since the both of you just got to enjoy each other’s company with nobody around. The plans for tonight were dinner and a movie, in your case a movie equaled a lot of cuddling with some background noises.
When you’re both ready for date night you meet in the kitchen. Wanda was wearing a plain black shirt and a black zip up hoodie and a pair of sweats, and she looked absolutely stunning. You matched the theme of comfy clothes that you had decided on by wearing sweats and your favorite hoodie that was actually one of Wanda’s.
After you shared some kisses you went further into the kitchen. You’ll be making pizza tonight, a dish neither one of you had made from scratch before. So, you decided on using a ready-made pizza crust. Wanda starts by preheating the oven while you grab the sauce and all the cheese you’ll be needing.
You start by stretching out the dough a bit and putting it down on the baking tray, ready for all the toppings to be added. Wanda used her magic to turn on some music and kissed your cheek when your favorite song started playing. You loved spending this time with her, singing and dancing around the kitchen while you were grating the cheese and spreading the alfredo sauce over the crust. Just being around Wanda made you extremely happy.
When all the toppings you wanted to be on the pizza were on Wanda put it in the oven while you started on cleaning up. Wanda walked up to you and wrapped her arms around your waist from behind and rested her head against your back, softly swaying to the rhythm of the music along with you. Once you cleaned up the used dishes Wanda turned you around, your back now against the kitchen counter. “I love you so much, y/n.” She says before kissing you. She still took your breath away, even after all these years.
When you parted from the kiss to breathe you said, “I love you very much too, Wands.” With a big smile on your face and pull her into a hug. Again, you sway to the rhythm of the music, the world only her and you. The ding of the oven wakes you from your bubble with Wanda.
You move to the couch with a plate full of pizza slices, with Wanda right behind you carrying your drinks. You sit down next to each other, leaving no room in between the two of you. Like you said, watching a movie with Wanda consisted mostly of cuddles. She leaned into you while you wrapped your arm around her.
Wanda presses play and the movie starts. You take the first bite of the pizza you made and are overjoyed with how good it was, you hold your slice up to Wanda to give her a bite as well. By the way her eyes light up you know she’s loving it as well.
Once the pizza is finished Wanda puts the plate down onto the table and cuddles more into you. With her magic she moves over a blanket from the other side of the couch and gently places it on both your laps. She then moves her hand back to yours and intertwines her fingers with yours.
