Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post every week announcing the latest project.

Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPseeingdouble

The goal this weekend is to make photos celebrating pairs that mirror one another — in obvious or subtle ways.

Here’s how to get started:

  • Keep an eye out for lookalike couples, and think outside the box. Seek out people that match their surroundings, a dog and owner with a similar expression or best friends dressing alike on purpose.
  • While a couple’s similarities may initially catch your eye, also highlight how each is unique.
  • Compose your frame in a way that allows you to compare your two subjects. Eliminate distracting details that would take away from the emphasis on your dynamic duo.

PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPseeingdouble hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
