“Dan, we know you have the stolen money! Our hard-earned savings! Come out!”

“They’ll be headin’ for the Rimrock Pass on the border!”

“And here’s the gold they got,” added Roy, pointing to the bags on the table. 

“Scar! Use your knife!”

Two Horse reined Thunder sharply.

“Speak fast! Who paid you with that new currency?”

“Still want to go after them, Marshal?”

Finally, around a bend, they could see a large lighted cavern. And there, tied up and seated against the wall were Bess Woburn and her father.

“You got any objection to my taking your prisoners back to Fort Fletcher for safe-keeping?”

“Here! I’ll turn him around so you can watch his face!”

Wire was drawn tautly across the trail just around the bend. If they had gone on, the horses would have tripped. 

“Th-that smashed my gun!”

“I reckon I know how that is, son!”

Roy’s hat was knocked from his head.

“The four Clantons… I want ‘em arrested for inciting a riot!”

“But Scar must knife him!”
