I am madly in love with how this turned out, shout-outs to @tomatoscribbles who colored a sketch I made a while ago! The result is stunning!!! Look at all these epic colors!!! We both didn’t know which version was better, so I’m posting both :’) the first one makes you feel like the lights are all around him, but the 2nd one makes you feel like he’s floating IN the light, as if he were a part of it… which is technically more accurate (remember when he fell inside the reactor right after the duel with Rudger/Roman? this is inspired exactly from that episode, oof)

in the au, jack starts training for turbo dueling much earlier at his own insistence, and goodwin is happy to oblige. he gets his first runner and suit around age 15, and is a natural and daredevil right off the bat.
