I will be grateful to die among my friends. Gon: [stands up] You’re an honorable man, Reiji. I will fight beside you. And in the end, I will make sure everyone comes back home! Our cast includes: A robot dog from XYZ trying to find its owner, a hacker from Synchro who uses spider cards to bug topsiders and blackmail them, and an abused Fusion girl who is so readily violent that she isn’t sent to the front lines because she’s too wild.
Due to various dimensional mishaps, such as Fusion girl deciding to storm the front lines herself, or the dog co-opting Fusion tech to go to another dimension to keep searching for its owner, they all end up found by Reiji Akaba, and experiencing a plot line parallel to Arc V canon.
As a first time DM, they have veered a little off path only a few sessions in.
They bodied Dipper Orion before he ever summoned an XYZ monster.
They managed to restrain and capture Yuto thanks to some terrible rolls on my end, which has led him to being in Reiji’s custody early in the plot. Also the Fusion player character mildly wants to kill Reiji after finding out from Yuto that he’s the Professor’s kid.
Synchro girl had already established a strong hatred for Jack Atlas for being a traitor to the commons. Fusion Girl is getting really close to punching Shun in the face for their first encounter.
Reiji is already very tired and Synchro and Fusion girls are very pessimistic about his efforts in either of their dimensions which is not helping.
My players have expressed a desire to save all the trauma babies in Arc V, kill Leo Akaba, and prevent any of the Yu boys from ever getting absorbed. Also rekill Roget, but like. More.
I really, REALLY desire an Arc-V AU where Serena was the Bracelet Girl hunter and Yuri was her love interest sidekick childhood friend who usurps her place once she betrays Academia
