Doodling more yugioh red ocs! here’s a redraw of Akiara and also her third-year design. She was pretty shy and withdrawn in her first year due to bullying in middle school, but she really opened up over her years at Duel Academia.

Finally got around to rendering these two little cuties. <3 Meet the kiddos of Yugi and Anzu!
Name: Yuichi Atem Mutou (武藤 (アテム) 結治 )
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Bio:
Yuichi Atem Mutou is the first born son of Yugi and Anzu Mutou. He’s an adventurous boy who loves to tinker and to entertain.
Already at 15 he shows promise as a duelist but prefers to perform while dueling and is aiming to actually be a dueltainer when he gets old enough. A theater kid through and through.
On top of that he’s quite skilled in mechanics when it comes to duel equipment, especially duel disks. (He’s good at repairing them) Boy has actually started making a living for himself with designing and painting custom duel disks for commissions… Which did catch the attention of one Seto Kaiba. He wasn’t sure of the kid at first… But took a liking to him at seeing his smarts.
Yuichi also has a sensitivity to Duel Spirits and often interacts with them, even giving them food if he can. (He’s learned to cook thanks to this.) Yuichi very much looks up to his father and while he’s not looking to be the King of games… He hopes maybe one day he can be like the Pharaoh in terms of skill.
Name: Momoka Mutou (武藤 桃華)
Age: 10

Bio:
Momoka Mutou is the second born daughter of Yugi and Anzu Mutou. She’s a very sweet little girl with a big heart, just like her father.
She enjoys dueling though is very much still a novice at her age. She mainly prefers doing it for fun and doesn’t have interest in entering tournaments. She very much enjoys the social aspect of it more than anything else.
Like her brother, she also has a sensitivity to Duel Spirits and interacts with them quite frequently. Nothing really seems to scare her and she thinks that every Duel Spirit out there is beautiful in their own way.
And that’s the basic gist for these two. More in the future with illustrations and what not. <3 Hope you like them.

I’ve thought about it a lot since bringing Ari back into this story, (following her redesign I did a bit ago) I felt like I wanted her to start out as an online friend to Maddie over an MMORPG. I imagine they played all the time together growing up <3 Maddie would roll a healer, and Ari would role a mage! I think they both enjoy being spellcasters for sure! This is totally self indulgent but I think it came out so cute!!

(This might not appeal to anyone else lol sorry if this is lame!)
I’ve been working on my Yugioh oc content a lot lately, and in my story I have it so that every edition of Duel Monsters ever played across the series is considered canon, so for instance in Toei’s Yugioh, this is the very first time they introduce duel monsters and show how to play using this map. I consider this first edition Magic and Wizards (what Duel Monster’s card design was once called, I can link again the pic of my card design for this edition of YGO in my story, based on how these cards used to look in this era.)
However, because this version of the game is so short lived and remastered as the game we know it to be today, its kinda hard to determine how it’s exactly played so I’ve remastered the map with the idea that I can print it out and recreate the cards during this era, and play it myself so I can figure it all out enough to write about it. It’s not perfect, but I don’t do background stuff so it’s more than acceptable for me LOL. I plan to play it with the written rules on the Yugioh wiki, and to kinda figure out the rest that’s unexplained.
For anyone curious, I plan to have the game progression in my story go like this: Magic and Wizards (First Edition), Duel Monsters (Second Edition) (Aka “Duelist Kingdom” rules), Duel Monsters (Third Edition) (Aka “Battle City” rules), etc. so on and so forth. So like the characters go out and collect the new cards and play each updated ruleset of the game. I hope this neat to anyone else, lol if this is a bit too much no worries I don’t post like this often LOL.

“The Pharaoh’s wife and the Queen who dwells within the Millennium Wand. Bast is considered to be not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well which is what stole her husband’s heart to begin with. She is gentle and mature, however, she will show no mercy when she duels.”
So…I thought I finally show ya’ll my version of Queen Bast for Duel Links. Just as a heads up, reason I have been putting it off is due to her normal position. The first one never sit right with me. So, I decided to redraw it and she came out WAY better. So yeah, there you have it. We have her at just normal pose, summoning pose, and the defeat pose. I really don’t have much else to say. lol
Start of a new year, I figured I also post this. Man, I remember back when I showed just the first two pics and I was proud of how Bast came out. And honestly. I still am. But I seriously wanted to show just how far I have come. Keep in mind that I stopped drawing YGO about 8 years ago and only just recently started drawing it again this past year. And let me tell you, I am seriously proud of how well I have gotten and how I have a better grasp of the YGO style and of my anatomy. Bast actually looks just as how I envisioned and I love seeing how far I have made her. It really is amazing of how much I have changed her but also to be better too. T-T For her being my first ever character, that’s saying something.

So, I’ve noticed that while I have posted a solo pic of Bast, I haven’t really done that with Catzi. I figured the best way would be showing her model for Duel Links if she was in it. Both original and DSOD. Though this is more like to compare her how she looks when she almost done growing up. For her DSOD, I wanted to change her up a bit, but not so drastically. Just enough that it shows she is no longer just an adorable pretty teenage girl. Her hair is a little longer and she has grown at least an inch more. The fact she is grown up and is pretty much like Queen Bast in every respect. The thing is, I wanted Catzi to have her own arc. After all, Yugi and Atem had to teach each other on what they were missing. For Catzi, she had to learn to control herself and her temper better. She taught Bast to be more dominant and tougher. By the end of the series, Catzi no longer allows her temper to get the best of her. She still maintains her firecrackers ways such as her and Joey having their usual jabs though it’s more out of just being good friends. She grows closer to everyone in her group of friends, especially Yugi since they both miss Atem and Bast very much. That’s all I really have to say for now. I really do like how I managed to draw Catzi in this, especially her DSOD form. I wanted to make her just as beautiful as Queen Bast, but also have her still be her own person. And I pulled it off. ^^ I’m really proud of myself.
She hurried to the room he must be occupied. But luckily for her, just as she rounded a corner, she can see the said Egyptian teen walking down the hallway.
Catzi bit her bottom lip while observing him. He was holding the Millennium Rod in his hand and he could easily be dangerous to her. However, she had her Wand in case he did try something. Deep down in her gut, she believed he would never hurt her. Making up her mind, she hurried after him.
“Marik…” Catzi whispered once she was near and this almost made him jump.
Whenever it was out of fear or surprise, it was hard to tell. He looked down and saw it was only her. Relief swept over him though he also was confused,
“Catzi? What are you doing here?” Marik questioned, turning to face her.
“I came to look for you.” She replied, a deep frown on her face,
“Why? Shouldn’t you be with your friends?” He questioned, and started chuckling, “After all, if they find out you are talking to me, it could mean trouble.”
“I don’t care. Look, Marik…” Catzi sighed, taking a deep breath and looked back up with her pleading brown eyes which made him frown, “I came to you because I want you to stop what you’re doing.”
A pause and Marik glared at her, “You’re wasting your time on that.” He said, his tone slightly cold.
“I am not.” She retorted and he shook his head,
“You are. You have no idea what I went through. I have to get back at the Pharaoh for everything he has done to me and my family.” Marik swore, looking off to the side,
“But he’s my friend! I can’t let you do that, Marik!” Catzi began and she watched him laugh harshly,
“You can’t stop me, Catzi. Neither you nor my sister. We’ve been through this before.”
“I know we have but…I don’t want to stop believing. Those letters you sent me…” she began and Marik gave her a look,
“Why are you bringing those up?”
“Because you sent me those! They were honestly the only letters that…well actually made me flustered and I never had that happen to me.” Catzi confessed and this made him look at her in surprise,
“They did?”
“Yes! I can tell you were being genuine in them…” Catzi stepped forward and gently grabbed his hand that didn’t hold Rod.
Taken aback at her sudden touch, he turned and found himself looking back into her large eyes,
“Marik please…I know you’re not evil. Don’t do this…” She said once more.
For a moment, it seemed like he might consider it. After all, his feelings for Catzi were getting stronger, especially with her trying so hard to make him change his ways. However, the years of being stuck underground and the painful memories of when he received the tomb keepers initiation flashed through his mind once more.
No.
He had been planning this for years. His father was killed after all and he can’t just let that go in vain.
Closing his eyes, he turned away and painfully pulled his hand from her, “I have no choice…” He said, trying to hide the depressing tone in his voice,
“But you do! You can change your mind!” Catzi argued, since she saw the look in his eyes.
“No I don’t. I must beat the Pharaoh and his Queen so I can obtain the power I need.” Marik spat back seeing how stubborn she was.
Catzi glared as well, trying her best not to be angry with him. Deep down she couldn’t exactly blame him but she also didn’t know the whole story on why he wanted to kill Yami and take his power. She let out a sigh in an attempt to cool her anger.
“Besides…why haven’t you told any of your friends who I really am? Especially how I erased one of your friends’ minds to keep my identity a secret.” Marik questioned with a glare,
“Because…I am hoping you will reconsider. I know you’re not evil, Marik. Please…I’m begging you for one last time. Think about what you’re doing.” Catzi pleaded once more, and this time tears began to form in her eyes and she gently put her hands on his arm, “Killing someone is not to be taken lightly. I may not know the whole story on why you went on a revenge path but…I really want you to stop this…”
Marik felt his heart ache seeing how she was on the brink of crying. He hated seeing her upset. It hurt even more knowing this girl, despite not even knowing him fully, was still trying to make him rethink his actions. He was very tempted to hug her and reassure her.
However, his anger was too strong. To forget or more like ease his aching heart, he turned away from her and painfully pulled his arm free from her hands,
“… I have to… To free my family…” He finally said softly.
There was a long pause. Catzi could tell that Marik was not going to stop. She had really hoped he would at least reconsider. But it seems like he won’t. Not even for her. And it hurt her deeply.
Finally, she spoke again, “I guess I can’t stop you…” she looked up as he still kept his head turned away from her, “And if you’re worried about me telling my friends about you…I won’t. I believe you’re still good, Marik. I only hope it won’t be too late…”
Catzi lowered her head before she turned around and rushed down the hallway. She quietly sobbed, her heart aching.
Marik finally looked and watched her disappear down the hallway. A part of him wanted to run after her, but he remained where he was. He slowly turned and lifted the Millenium Rod to his chest. He held it there in thought.
She doesn’t understand what I went through… I know what’s right for my tribe and family… Because I… I need to do this…

This little tidbit is a quick look into what is going to come. I know. It’s been awhile since I drew something with Loneshipping. Believe me, I haven’t stopped shipping them. Sometimes I tend to avert my attention to my other OTPs. :D But it’s great to come back to these two. I really do love them so much. T-T The idea of Catzi trying to get Marik to not keep going on a revenge path would certainly make him conflicted. And it’s to also show how kind hearted and true Catzi is. Despite her being such a hot head, she really is forgiving. I really don’t have anything else to say other than I really did like how this pic came out. CX Ah I get feels from these two…
