“hey,” you utter softly. “i’ve missed you.”yuta’sgaze is tired yet gentle as he breaks into a small smile when he sees you, standing in the doorway of your shared apartment. he takes your hand gently and entangles his finger in yours, his jacket hangs loosely off his shoulders as he pulls you closer to him.

“i’ve missed you too.” he whispers at you, placing a delicate kiss to your cheek. though the kiss feels less warm than it used too. you look up at him, meeting his tender eyes, and smile shyly. yuta’seyes never meet yours and your smile never seems full-hearted. you both notice that but it seems you’re both too scared to tell each other.

his grip around your fingers feels less loving than it usually does, but it has a for a while now and you try to pretend it still does. he notices every time you kiss him on the lips, you never lean in fully like you used to before but yutastill grins back at you as if you had just kissed for the first time though his eyes always give it away.

it hurt to see this happen, you and yutaknew it. but there was a part deep inside both of you that was hoping that this was only temporary and that everything would go back to normal. it was probably a stupid choice that you and yuta choose to believe, normal felt so far from where you were right now. but maybe, it truly would go back to the way it was like once before.

Venom! Yuta x human! Mark x human! reader

Synopsis :

Mark thought he’d never find love with Yuta living inside his body, having his life turned upside down when he met the alien, or more accurately, was ‘chosen’ by Yuta during an afternoon of a very normal university tour which turned out to be a tour to the biotechnology company he had to destroy to save the world.

So definitely, with the hero duties and school, and the fact that he’s no longer your typical university kid, love was sort of out of the picture for him. But what happens when he stumbles upon a girl who loves him and his alien buddy?

No one had ever explained to you the pros and cons of having a baby.

It’s been months but your parents never talked to you when they sent you abroad. So you didn’t have any idea on how to take care of the child inside you.

Moreover, a cambion.

You remembered hearing that word from the girl who cursed Yuta, that bearing a cambion would remove the devil inside him. Internet and books were your only guide and it scares you that your baby might be born like the ones in the books.

You were relieved, however, the moment you gave birth. Your son’s limbs are complete. That little button nose, the chubby cheeks, and the plump lips. He is perfect.

He looks so much like Yuta. His parents would love your little angel. And he will surely love your child.

Unlike other kids his age, his development was highly advanced. Even if he’s still months old, he can easily walk. By age one, he can talk in short sentences. It gave you hope that he’s like other kids but it was a hope that was crushed easily.

He would never show emotion. You never know if he’s happy or sad. He would speak in short sentences, all monotone. And that made the other kids wary of him. You told him a lot of times to smile but he never did.

It’s not like he doesn’t know how. You saw him smile when you returned home and met your parents again. You saw him smile when he was introduced to Yuta’s family. You saw him smile seeing his dad in pictures.

And maybe meeting Yuta would give emotion to your child.

He was already four when you brought him to the jail prison where Yuta is. He was never weary of him, unlike to other people. He immediately hugged the older as if they’d known each other all their life. Must be the blood bond, you thought. And for a moment, you saw how your child smiled in sincere happiness at the arms of his father. A smile you barely even see if it’s just the two of you.

Yuta hugged you tight in his arms, apologizing profusely for not being by your side when you need him the most. He apologized for everything he had done and hoped that you’ll still wait for him. That you’ll still love him.

But all you wished for is to always see your son as happy as he is earlier. You wished his dad would always be here with the two of you.

That night, you cried in your sleep. Your son entered your room quietly and even lay on the bed next to you, making you smile timidly. “Are you crying?” he asked and you shook your head, wiping the tears on your cheek. His little hands held your face, tiny palms as warm as you want him to be. “I hope you won’t cry again, mommy.”

It was like everything is sucked out of you. The pain, the sadness. The little boy smiled and you mirrored the same expression as him.

You should have noticed it then.

Every time he would sleep beside you, holding your hand or hugging you to sleep, you would have the sweetest dreams of your family being complete and happy. Yuta and him smiling together as they play soccer, a nice dream. When he wasn’t beside you, you’ll dream of the things that happened in the past. The limbs, the flesh, the blood.

The monster Yuta had become. The thing you’re scared of.

You should have noticed it then.

One day, you saw him playing with a girl in the playground. You were happy that he was communicating with a kid his age but what surprised you is seeing the young girl’s knee bleeding and that she was crying. When your son held her cheek, like what he does to you when you’re crying, the girl just stopped. She was breathing heavy breaths but her eyes are showing comfort as if the pain she was feeling is slowly fading.

You should have known it then.

Empath.

They call it that. A distinct ability that only cambions have. Your son is the reason why you have the happiest dreams. He really did remove the negative emotion out of anyone, changing it into a positive one.

And it was alright, as long as it doesn’t hurt him. As long as nothing bad can happen to him.

But you noticed how distant he’s becoming. From the short sentences came monosyllabic answers that made you worried.

Then you saw him once talking with a lot of animation in his voice, the first time you actually saw him this excited over something. It was an improvement.

But the moment you head outside, your eyes widened in surprise. In front of him is a rabbit, a lifeless rabbit to be exact. He stared at you before smiling, “Mommy, the rabbit wants to play with me.” Then he pointed at something in thin air, giggling.

And you knew it right then.

“He can talk to the dead?” Yuta asked, watching your son playing with the toy blocks at one part of the visitation area. “But the books didn’t mention anything about it.” You know. You’ve given him that book. But he did talk to animals, dead animals. You witnessed it not only once, he did it with a bird, even a cockroach. “I’m sorry, Y/N.” The older held your hand, grasping it in a comforting hold.

The younger boy came to you and you smiled at him, asking what is it. “Grandpa wanted to see you, mommy.” he said that made you look at Yuta and then at the younger boy. “He told me grandma needs you now.” Yuta’s hold on you got tighter when your phone vibrated and the bad news was confirmed. Your father died.

It was scary to know that your child can communicate with the dead. Sometimes he would just stop in the middle of the streets and he would talk to someone. Even at school, his teachers would tell you how he never played with the kids and would just be alone on the swings while talking to air. You saw how the kids were teasing him but he was still talking to someone or something in front of him, not caring about anything.

“You’re a freak.” one kid said that made you startled. You were about to walk to where they are when one kid mentioned about his dad, “That’s because his dad is a criminal.” He stared at the kid who said that sentence, eyes glaring. You saw how the kid suddenly punched himself which surprised the other kids around him.

Did your son do it? He can’t right?

The kid punched his face again, crying that it hurts. The other kids were telling him to stop but he only punched his face once again. You called your son’s attention and the kid fell to the ground when your son stopped glaring at him.

He really did it. Now, you’re more scared of him than ever before.

You didn’t know taking care of a child would be this tiring, a cambion in particular. There are a lot of nights would you would just cry in your sleep while wishing that everything would be different. It doesn’t help that you can always see the tiredness and guilt in Yuta’s eyes as you narrate things that usually happen.

But you cannot give up.

Cannot give up on yourself, on Yuta, on your child. They’re all you have.

Your son grew up to be almost identical to his father. It would always transport you to memories of when Yuta was a child and you would play in their yard. He would tease you and tell you that you should get used to him because you’ll be together for a long time. A promise that he did keep.

Other than the usual encounters with the dead and the short temper that your son has, he’s a pretty average kid who loved hugging you. Different from other kids his age who would try and pretend that their mothers don’t exist. He would always whisper that he loves you and that you’re his world, although you knew it was Yuta who told him that phrase.

And that’s all that matters for you. You, Yuta, and your son.

The doorbell rang that startled you. Who would even come today?

A surprise was all you can feel seeing Yuta outside your door, whispering that he misses you then hugged you tight. “I thought you have a year left…” But he hushed you up, saying that he went out earlier because of parole. “I’m sorry for not being here when you need me the most, Y/N.” he mumbled and the tears fell from your eyes. “I promise I won’t leave you again.”

Hopefully, everything will be normal.

But you knew it was wishful thinking.

Your son had been in more fights and his temper grew shorter which scared even his dad. He had been holed up in his room all the time but you can hear him whispering inside as if talking to someone else. It has been pretty hopeless to do something at this point.

You were walking home from the store after buying those macaroons that your son loves. Yuta had told you that he hasn’t come out of his room and maybe this can coax him into hanging out with you. You were almost home when someone ran straight to you and stabbed you with a knife, snatching your purse. You didn’t even get to glance at his face as you felt the pain on your side, blood covering your hand as you can see black.

The image of Yuta and your son made the tears fall from your closed eyes. Is this the end for you? You wanted to see them happy and smiling, with their identical smile, while looking at you. A smile you wouldn’t ever see again. You should have told them you loved them, especially your son. You should have told him that he was your world as well. But it’s all gone now.

The worry was changed seeing your son and Yuta playing soccer together. They really do look alike that made your heart hurt. Your two worlds, together. A nice dream that made you smile. The greatest dream that you could have before leaving the world. “Y/N,” you heard Yuta’s voice. “Love,” he called once again. “Please wake up.”

You felt a warm hand holding your hand. “Mommy, please come back to us.” That voice. You opened your eyes, blinded by the light. Where are you? What happened?

When you glanced beside you, Yuta was kneeling in front of the couch where you were lying down and holding your blood-covered hand. “Love,” he called before a loud cry can be heard beside him. “Mommy.” Your son sobbed, wrapping his arms around your neck. “I thought I’m going to lose you.” His hug got tighter which made you surprised. Your son is crying? He never cries. You’ve never seen him cry. “I was so scared to lose you.” He never gets scared.

Yuta only sighed in relief then smiled timidly, holding his son’s head. “What happened?”

“I have to look for you and bring you home.” he lightly glanced at your son. “He was panicking. He said he saw you.” Then you almost really died. “He saved you.”

You curiously looked at the sobbing boy in your arms. Saved you? “I didn’t know he could do that but you’re not breathing when we found you. He didn’t let go of you and kept calling out for you.” Yuta ruffled his son’s hair, the expression in his eyes making you tear up. “I thought we were going to lose you.”

You knew you were stabbed. You remembered how it hurt so much but there isn’t even a scar on your side when you checked yourself. You don’t want to believe that it was your son’s doing but while watching him, you realized that he might. He did save you.

The temper isn’t that short now. You tried to watch him glare at someone once and nothing happened. Even if there’s a dead fly in front of him, he never tried to talk to it like before. He would laugh wholeheartedly at the comedy shows that Yuta likes and bawl his eyes out while watching a sad show. And even if he sleeps on the bed with you and Yuta, you will still have nightmares.

Does this mean your life is getting normal now?

“What are you doing here outside?” Yuta asked and you watched as your son played with a neighbor kid in your garden. A normal kid. That’s him now.

“He’s changed.”

Yuta laughed. “He’s almost a teenager.” He is. But he knew that’s not what you meant. Your husband wrapped his arms around you, chin on your shoulder as you both looked at the younger boy who waved at the two of you. “Y/N, I know I always say this but I’m grateful you didn’t give up on me. In the past and even until now.” You held his hands, “I don’t know what I’ll do if not for you. I love you. So much.”

“I also cannot do this without you. Thank you for coming back to us, Yuta.” You whispered, leaning your head on his chest. “I love you.”

“More than you love him?”

You giggled seeing how your son ran to where the two of you were. “Mom, can I go play Xbox next door?” Yuta giggled and you nodded, reminding the younger not to be angry if he lost the game. He smiled and you were reminded of Yuta’s smile. They really do look alike. “You’re the best, mom.” You giggled before he continued, “You’ll always be my world, mommy. I love you the most.”

“What about me?” Yuta asked but your son just ran away which made your husband revolt. You laughed, they’re always like this. “Just wait until you’ll have a sister, we won’t invite you to our tea parties.” You chuckled but Yuta only stared at you, squinting his eyes on you. “And since he’s next door, we have the whole house to ourselves.”

“Let’s start making that daughter.” You giggled as he pulled you inside, closing the doors behind you.

At this point, you were just thankful to finally have a normal life with your husband and son. And hopefully, a little angel can balance out the negative things that happened in your life.

Yuta and Y/n are driving home after having dinner with Y/n friends. While the evening went perfectly there is one downside to the night. Y/n lost the bet they had going with Yuta.

Part of the long term couples series.

Glancing down at your fingers that are laced with Yuta’s a small smile forms on your face. The two of you were driving back to your place after having dinner with your friends. The evening had gone better than you had expected. You should have known that it would. Yuta was easy to like, and your friends were amazing. It shouldn’t have surprised you that they hit it off right away. They got along so well that a part of you wished that you would have told him sooner that you wanted to take things to the next level. Then the two of you could have been going on group dates like this for weeks now instead of this being the first one.

“I like your friends. They’re funny,” Yuta voice pulls you out of your thoughts and you look up at his side profile. His hair is grown out and red now. Today he has it tied up in a half ponytail and with the earrings covering his ears he looks like your dream anime character.

“Good, they loved you. They keep messaging about you and how they want to hang out with you again.” You tell him giving his hand a squeeze before leaning over to kiss his cheek. The side of Yuta’s mouth twitches up letting you know he liked the kiss.

“At the risk of ruining this very romantic moment I do have to tell you something,” tilting your head to the side you furrow your brows wondering what could possibly ruin this moment.

           “Okay…” you hedge.

“I just want to point out that I win!” Brags Yuta and for a moment you blink at him in confusion until it dawns on you. Pulling your hand out of Yuta’s you cross your arms over your chest.

“That shouldn’t count! It’s not my fault my friends ratted me out,” you complain. Yuta body shakes in silent laugher causing you to narrow your eyes at him.

“If you want to spend the night, I suggest you stop laughing right now.” The threat has no heat behind it. Yuta and you both know that there was no way you would spend the night apart. Not after weeks of not seeing each other.

“Whatever you say Y/n!” Chuckles Yuta.

You grumble for a few more seconds before reaching back out for Yuta’s hand. He laces his fingers back with yours before raising your hand to his mouth to give the back of your hand a kiss before settling your hands in his lap. You look out the window watching the city night pass you by.

“Since you know what I do for a living now are you going to tell me what you do?” You feel Yuta stiffen, looking over at him you notice that he looks almost worried about answering your question. “You know I don’t care what you do, unless your like in the mafia then we might have to talk about that one.”

Yuta relaxes a little and shakes his head no at the mafia comment. He still doesn’t answer you and you start to worry about what his job actually is. What if it is something illegal? You have been with him for months now and for all you know he’s selling peoples kidneys on the black market.

           “Is it bad?” You hedge.

“No, it’s not bad it’s just… I am a little worried about your reaction. I shouldn’t be it’s silly that I am.” Yuta admits.

“It’s okay to be worried.” You assure him. Nodding his head Yuta takes a deep breath before blurting out his career.

“I’m an idol.” He says it so fast that at first, you’re not sure if you heard him right. You stare at him processing what he just said. ‘I’m an idol’ that’s what he said, those are the words that came out of his mouth. You just can’t believe it because you are positive that you would know if you were sleeping with an idol or not. Then again, your friends did always tease you about how clueless you were when it came to anything going on in the world.

“Um not to rush your or anything but it would be nice if you’d say something,” You nod your head before realize that Yuta is busy watching the road and can’t see you nodding your head.

“Right, sorry, it’s just…an idol? You are an idol and I had no idea. You’re on tv, the radio, in stores and I had no clue,” you ramble.

“I’m not sure I’m following you?” Yuta admits.

“I can’t believe how unaware of things I am. I should have been able to figure this out right away and won months ago!” You complain causing Yuta to look at you with questioning eyes. “I deserve to lose this bet with how easy it was for me to figure it out and here I am months later only finding out because you told me.”

“Are you upset about me being an idol?” Yuta questions.

“No why would I? I think it’s cool and it explains your moves in bed,” Yuta rolls his eyes at that comment because him being an idol has nothing to do with his moves in bed. “I just can’t believe I didn’t figure it out sooner. You know that I’m going to be listening to everything you have put out once we get home right.”

“Hang on. Let me get this straight. You don’t care that I’m an idol but are more upset that you didn’t figure it out sooner because it should have been easy for you to figure out?”

“Yes! Being an idol isn’t easy to hide. I should have gotten it right away. Oh well I’m winning the next bet we make.” You determinedly state causing Yuta to throw his head back and laugh.

“What?” You smile over at him as he continues to laugh.

“Nothing, I’m just lucky to have found someone like you.” He tells you.

“Well, I can’t argue with that.” You agree before leaning over to kiss the side of Yuta’s mouth. “I’m lucky to have found you too.”

It’s yours and Yuta’s first Christmas together and you are not sure what to get him. Then you have a brilliant idea and you hope that Yuta will love the idea as much as you do.

Part of the long term couples series. Can be read as a stand alone.

Walking through the mall the glance at the shop windows wondering what to get your boyfriend. It was your first Christmas together and you wanted to get him the right gift. Something that represented your relationship and something that he would always remember. But nothing was right, nothing screamed our first Christmas, and this is something you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Sure, you could have gotten him the Our First Christmas together ornament or some other various gift with that wording. It just didn’t feel like you though.

Giving up on buying Yuta a gift you wander into a lingerie store and started to browse the racks. You needed some new lingerie and Yuta always appreciated what you were wearing underneath your clothes. As you thought about it the start of your relationship with Yuta was spend with both of you mostly unclothed. You still laugh at the idea that either of you thought that you could only be people who slept together. From the very first night you spent with him it was anything but a random hook up. It’s as your moving to the next rack that an idea pops into your head on what to get Yuta.

Smiling to yourself you quickly grab all the lingerie that is Christmas themed to try on and hurry into one of the dressing rooms. As you’re trying them on you send a quick text to your friend to see if your Christmas idea is crazy or corny. Although the two of you are corny and doing something like this would fit the two of you. As your debating between a green pair and a red pair you get a text back from your friend.

BF: OMG I’m dying. Do it he’ll love it and find it funny as well.

With your friend’s approval and your decision made on which lingerie you were going to buy. You grab your items and head off to the check out counter. After making your purchase you go in search for your next items the ugliest Christmas sweater that you can possibly find and a jewelry store. You are so excited about your gift idea that you worry that you won’t be able to wait until Christmas to give it to Yuta. You hope that he likes your gift as much as you like the idea of it.

Christmas Eve

“Are we opening present tonight or are we waiting until tomorrow morning?” Yuta ask you. The two of you are curled up on the couch. Your back to Yuta’s front, soft music is playing, and the only light is coming from your Christmas tree and other lights you have set up around the house.

“Let’s open them tonight. I’ve been waiting what feels like forever to give you your gift,” you admit. Your body is practically vibrating with excitement. Yuta must be able to feel your excitement as he laughs and release you so he can grab your gift.

Yuta grabs your gift from under the tree and walks back towards you. You sit on the couch crossed legged and bouncing in place. Yuta hasn’t given you many gifts since the two of you started dating but each one you have received from him has been perfect and you can’t wait to see what he has gotten you this time. Yuta settled back into the couch next to you and places the small gift on your lap. He leans over and gives your cheek a kiss.

“Merry Christmas Y/n.” You lean over and quickly kiss his lips and return a Merry Christmas to him before you open your gift.

Opening the gift your eyes widen and you let out a choked laughed you couldn’t believe what was laying in the box. Laying in the velvet box is a necklace and hanging from the necklace are two small charms. One is in the shape of an omelet the other is in the shape of French toast. You look over at Yuta who is smiling brightly back at you, and you launch yourself at him. Yuta let’s out an umph in surprise before catching you and laying his back down onto the couch with you sprawled out on top of him.

“I love it,” you tell him as you start to cover his face in kisses. “This is the best Christmas gift I have ever gotten.”

“I’m glad you like it!” Yuta smiles up at you, you bring the box between the two of you and ask if he’ll help you put it on. Once the necklace is in place you sit up and head towards the Christmas tree to get Yuta his gift.

“You gift has some instructions that go with it. First wait to open this until I’m out of the room and then follow the next instructions inside your gift.” Handing over the gift you hurry off towards your room leaving Yuta sitting on the couch in confusion.

He watches you disappear down the hallway and then into your bedroom before he looks down at the gift you have handed him. It isn’t large and he gives it a gentle shake to see if it makes a sound. Once he’s sure that you are in your room Yuta unwraps the box. Inside is another smaller box and a letter.

           Yuta,

I wanted our first Christmas as a couple to be memorable, special, and to remind you of our first night together. Who would have thought that a one-night stand would turn into breakfast, and then into something more? Open your gift and then come to the bedroom for the rest of your gift.

           Yours always,

           Y/n

Reaching out for the small box Yuta unwraps it to find a smaller velvet box than the one he gave you. Opening it he sees a ring and a slot for another. He pulls out the ring left for him and looks it over. On the inside he sees some engraving and upon closer examination he sees the date from your first night together and then a small picture of a French toast. He laughs at how much the two of you think alike. He slides the ring on before heading towards your bedroom.

Pushing open the door to your room Yuta isn’t sure what to expect but what he finds causes him to laugh even more but also makes his heart swell because only you would be standing in the middle of your room with nothing but a giant ugly Christmas sweater. Your hands are on your hips and you’re beaming at him as he walks into the room.  Yuta notices the ring that is now on your finger and glances down at his before he makes his way towards you.

“Merry Christmas Yuta,” you tell him as he pulls you into him. Your arms instantly wrap around him, and his hands settle on the small of your back right above your butt.

“Are you giving yourself as a gift to me?” Yuta questions as his hands start to roam and pushing you back towards the bed.

“I thought the rings would have made that obvious but, yes Yuta I’m giving myself to you.” You stop moving once the back of your legs hit the bed. Yuta smiles down at you and reaches around his back for your hand with the ring on it. He pulls that hand up to his mouth and kisses the ring. Your heart melts at the action and you lean further into him.

“Best Christmas gift ever and I haven’t even unwrapped all of it yet,” you laugh but are cut off by Yuta connecting his mouth to yours and gently lowering you onto the bed. His hands start to roam and as he starts to lift up the sweater his pulls away from you and pauses. You furrow your brows at him wondering why he’s stopped.

“As much as I love the sweater, please tell me that what’s under it is some sexy lingerie and not granny panties.” Bursting out into laughter you pull Yuta back down towards you and wrap your arms and legs around him.

“You’ll just have to unwrap your gift and find out.” You tell him. Yuta smiles at you and then gets back to what he had started and is pleased to find that the rest of his gift is not in fact grannie panties.

Yuta is off traveling for work, Y/n is keeping busy with their job, and both of them are struggling with being apart from one another. When Yuta calls Y/n and Yuta have a conversation about their relationship and what they want from one another.

Part of the long term couples series

Walking through the house you have recently purchased you scribble down notes of parts of the home you are going to update, walls that are going to be removed, and any other ideas that filter through your mind as you pass each room. You could hear your partner in the front of the house talking to the rest of your team about when they should be here and if they would be working under you or him. Their voices fade as you enter the master bedroom. You loved this room it was the whole reason that you had wanted to buy the house in the first place. It was at the back of the house and had large French doors that led out to a patio.

In your head you were picturing the future owner of this home waking up and walking through those doors and out onto the patio where they would sit in comfy chairs and eat their breakfast while sipping coffee. There would be lazy weekend mornings where they would spend their whole time out there enjoying the beauty of their yard and each other’s company. Your plan was to make the rest of the house feel as calmly as this bedroom and patio made you feel. It was going to be a lot of work the previous owner had not taken care of the place and let a lot slip. You could see the potential in this home and your partner could see it as well. That was why after walking through the home one time the two of you had put an offer in.

This project had come at the perfect time. It was going to require a lot of attention and was the perfect distraction from Yuta. The two of you had agreed on just being friends with benefits. Yet, you found yourself wanting to be around him all the time and wanting to get to know him better and he seemed to be on the same page as you. When he had told you that he was going to be gone for a few weeks you had thought that it would be good for the two of you. It would remind you both that you were supposed to keep things casual. In reality all the separation has done is make you realize how much you want to be with him and miss him.

“Y/n you done with your walk through?” Turning towards the doorway Alex stands there with his arms crossed over his chest. His eyes accessing the room before they land on you. “I sent the team home and told them that we would get started tomorrow on everything.”

“Thanks, and I think I have everything down that we need. I might do one more walk through just to make sure we haven’t missed anything. Are you heading out or staying?”

“I got to head out. I promised the boyfriend that we would have date night tonight since I canceled our last one and I can’t miss this one. He might break up with me this time if I cancel.” You laugh at that there was no way that Alex’s boyfriend would break up with him. They loved each other completely and it would take more than a canceled date to break up the two of them.

“Alright, tell Jun hi for me,” you hug Alex and walk with him back to the front of the house.

“I will and he told me to tell you that you are not fooling anyone, and he wants to meet whoever you’re seeing soon,” your mouth drops open at that statement. How in the world did he know that you were seeing someone? You hadn’t told anyone about Yuta and had made sure not to give anything away about you seeing someone.

“Don’t ask how he knows. I’ve learned to stop questioning his skills a long time ago. Just talk to whoever it is and let them know that their time as remaining a mystery is numbered.” Alex bumps his shoulder into yours before heading down the walkway. You watch as he gets into his car and drives off before turning back to the house to do your final walkthrough.

As your writing down some ideas that you have for the kitchen your phone starts to ring. Looking over at it you smile as you see Yuta’s smiling face on the screen, requesting that you facetime with him. Picking up the phone you answer the call and hold it up to your face. In a few seconds you see Yuta’s smiling face, hair fanned out as he lays on his bed. Just looking at him steals your breath away and you are once again reminded how much you have been missing him these past two weeks.

“Hi, did you just get back to your hotel?”

“Hmm,” Yuta nods, “today was busy and I’m going to sleep but I wanted to talk to you and see your face before I did.”

“Ah have you been missing me?” you coo while leaning onto the counter.

“I have a lot actually,” Yuta admits, and you smile back at him.

“I’ve been missing you a lot as well,” the admission comes out easier than you thought it would. You hadn’t planned on telling him that you were missing him but hearing him say it made it easier for you to tell him how you were feeling.

“So much for keeping things casual,” Yuta laughs, and you join him. The two of you were ridiculous for thinking that this was going to be casual and for only realizing now that you’ve spent weeks apart that you don’t want to be without the other.

“I think we were doomed from the start. We should have known from the moment that we had breakfast together that we weren’t going to be able to keep things casual,” thinking back to that morning you remember how you had felt when you saw him in your bed and then taken him to breakfast. You didn’t want your time with him to end and that should have been your first clue that the two of you were never going to be able to keep things casual. There was already so much chemistry between the two of you and the more time the two of you spent together the stronger your connection got.

“It’s your fault if you wouldn’t have shared your breakfast with me, I would have dropped you right then and there,” stresses Yuta, you roll your eyes at that comment.

“No, you wouldn’t of. You have been falling for me from the moment we met!” A blush starts to appear on Yuta’s cheeks, and he looks off to the side avoiding eye contact with you. When he looks back at you, you raise your eyebrows up challenging him to say otherwise.

“Where are you by the way?” Yuta leans up closer to the phone like he is trying to get a better look at your surroundings and effectively changing the subject. “That’s not your place.”

“It’s not I’m at work,” you confirm.

“Work is someone else’s kitchen? Just what is your job?”

“Nope nice try but I’m not telling you anything. If anyone is going to win this bet, it’s going to be me.” You stress.

“Come on you should tell me since I’m the one who admitted first that I miss you and can’t do the casual thing.”

“You didn’t admit that you don’t want to do casual you just admitted to missing me and sucking at keeping things casual,” you point out not wanting to let him win this argument.

“Fine,” Yuta sits up and brings the phone close to his face, looking straight into the phone and locking his eyes with yours Yuta says, “Y/n I miss you all the time and I don’t want to keep things casual between the two of us. I want to be with you all the time. I want to tell my friends that I’m with you. I want to go out on dates with you instead of just holing up in your place with you. I want more. How’s that for an admission?”

Dam you should not have challenged him. How were you supposed to respond to that? You were not expecting him to just lay it all out like that.

“Um it was pretty good,” you stutter, “but I’m still not telling you what my job is.”

Throwing his head back Yuta laughs. You could watch him laugh forever you think, and you find yourself bringing the phone closer to you just to enjoy his face and laughter more.

“Alright I’ll let it go for now. But I’m going to figure it out eventually. Especially since we aren’t keeping things casual anymore you can’t hide it from me forever.”

“You can’t keep yours hidden forever anymore either! If we are really going to do this, I’m going to find out your job as well. And we can’t have secret between us anymore. Relationships are a completely different thing from hook ups.” You inform him wanting Yuta to know that if you two are really going to move from casual to an actual relationship that things are going to be different.

“Oh, don’t worry Y/n I know that things will be different. I’m counting on it,” there’s a glint in Yuta’s eyes and you are starting to wonder what you have gotten yourself into.

“Guess we’ll see who figures it out first,” you tell him not wanting to give in and enjoying the silly game the two of you are playing.

“I guess we will! I should probably get going. I have another busy day ahead of me,” Yuta frowns and you understand how he feels. You don’t want to end the call either.

“How much longer are you going to be gone?” You ask.

“Two more weeks and then when I get back, I’m taking you out on an actual date,” you smile widely at that. An actual date with Yuta you couldn’t wait.

“Hurry back then,” Yuta nods and right before the two of you end the call you remember what Alex told you and you get a wicked idea, “oh and before I forget you have to meet two of my friends, they already know about us!”

“What?” Yuta practically shouts, his eyes wide. You laugh as you give him a wave goodbye and end the call. Laying your phone down you smile at it as you think over the conversation that the two of you had.

When you answered the call, you had figured it would just be the two of you flirting with one another and making plans to get together when he returned. You did not think that it would lead to the two of you admitting that you miss one another and want more. You definitely did not think that it would lead to Yuta telling you that he wants an actual relationship with you and then him telling you that when he returns, he would be taking you out on an actual date. Your phone pings and you see a message from Yuta.

Yuta: If I have to meet your friends you have to meet mine. They were onto me weeks ago

Laughing you reply to Yuta and shake your head at yourself. How the two of you thought you could ever do casual was beyond you. You were both clearly bad at it, from hiding it from others, to keeping your feeling in check it was a failure a wonderful failure.
