Construction stats: ❤️ Dress is self-made from sateen with the top and skirt being separates Skirt features 60 fabric petals ❤️ I also made the arm warmers, wings and bow which snap onto the dress There are about 10 different types of flowers on this costume, including peonies, lilies, roses, chrysanthemums, poppies, hydrangea, bird of paradise and even a lotus flower! ❤️I trimmed my Zero Two wig for Belle, originally from @ardawigs Contacts are Candy Blue from @uniqso ❤️ I did the face makeup freehand from reference using Kryolan cream paint

Rarely has a film, character and costume design sparked such an obsession in me so fast! After watching the film, I quite literally put my life on hold for a week to make this costume from scratch because I couldn’t exist without it ! I’ve worked on hundreds of costumes and only felt this kind of overwhelming urge a handful of times (the last time was Shao Jun). Now that I finally did a photo shoot, the inside has been satisfied lol. I’m excited to wear Belle to @katsucon_ninjas!!

Suzu from “Belle”; just a quickie to pass the time while I listened to the wonderful soundtrack. Not sure how many more “larger-than-slice-of-life” genre films set half-IRL and half on a fantasy version of the internet Mamoru Hosoda needs to make before they’ll be satisfied, but I’ll happily keep on watching them forever.

A fanart that I did of the Belle movie! I really enjoyed this movie movie a lot (tho tbh the ending was sort of frustrating xD … ) but it was such a beautiful movie that I had to do my own version of it.
For the past month, I have been working on the Red Flower dress from the Mamoru Hosoda film Belle. It was a unique cosplay for me to work on since most of the time when I cosplay I either make traditional ‘period’ style cosplays and mostly male cosplays. But it was a lot of fun trying to make this dress!
I wont go into great detail on everything I did to make this dress. I plan to do a video about how I made it for my YouTube channel, so keep your eyes peeled when I share that video! Especial on how I made my petals <3
I will tell you it took about 7.5 yards of fabric to make all the petals on the skirt, the wings, and bow of this dress. I also spent almost $100 on flowers alone for the bodice and head piece.
I am still not done with this cosplay but I about 90% done! So I hope to have some awesome photos in the future!
