A scream of pain blasted behind them, and Nesta whirled at the end of the bridge to find Gwyn still on the other side with an arrow through her thigh. Down. Too close to the males closing in—
“CUT IT!” Gwyn roared.
There’s something devastatingly heartbreaking and tragic about this moment, even more so after you learn about Gwyn’s past.
Gwyn’s silence and refusal to give up the children’s location when Hybern soldiers attacked the temple of Sangravah two years prior cost her Catrin’s (her twin sister) life and the brutality (TW: SA) Gwyn experienced next. Yet in this moment, when the safety of her newfound sisters were at risk, Gwyn was ready to risk it all again for them, knowing what would happen once the males reached her, what they were capableof.
The courage and bravery Gwyn displayed in the midst of this terrifying situation is one of the many reasons why I adore her and her friendship with Nesta & Emerie. Her loyalty knows no bounds. ❤️❤️❤️

This art has been done for a while and was originally meant for a personal project one of my friends is doing from April to June where you pair an art with a story (hence why it is clearly depicting a scene that should be in the middle of a writing piece), however we decided against it when we realized it could look like we’re infringing on another fandom even currently taking place.
Either way, I am blow away by how amazing this art looks! When I first imagined Gwyn saving Azriel in the middle of battle I was reluctant to commission the idea because it was rather specific, but everything from the pegasus, the expressions, to the background are so gorgeous and I’m beyond happy with how the final product came out!

This scene is one of my favorite scenes of Elain and Azriel! I have always wanted an art inspired by this scene. It’s such a beautiful scene yet simple scene . Lately this scene has been used to make fun of us, to ridicule us, to call us names. So I wanted to turn all that hatred into this beautiful comfort scene. At the end of the day my goal is to bring as much positivity as I can to the fandom. I hope you love it as much as I do.
@jessamyart is once again the incredible artist that created this stunning scene. I love working with Jess, she has always managed to read my mind and create exactly what I envisioned.
