If Prince Aemon lived long enough to be king… Imagine: KingAemon I TargaryenandQueenJocelyn Baratheon.Princess Rhaenys would’ve been first in line to the throne, or Aemon and Jocelyn would’ve produced a son. Just a “what if”.
Prince Aemon Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone
55 AC - 92 AC
Third child and second son of King Jaehaerys IandQueen Alysanne, husband to his aunt Lady Jocelyn Baratheon, and father to Princess Rhaenys “The Queen Who Never Was”. He had pale lilac eyes and rare white-gold hair. He was also known to be handsome and tall, even taller than his tall wife. He was the dragonrider to Caraxes. He was supposed to be the heir of Jaehaerys but he died at 92 AC in Tarth. He never had a son with Jocelyn, and so his brother Prince Baelon became the new heir.
Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, The Queen Who Never Was, Lady of Driftmark

She’s wife to Corlys Velaryon “The Sea Snake” and had two children, LaenaandLaenor. Sadly, she outlived both of her children. She died at the age of 55 in the battle at Rook’s Rest .
Lady Jocelyn Baratheon
54 AC - 92-129 (?) AC
Daughter of Lord Rogar BaratheonandDowager Queen Alyssa Velaryon, wife to her nephew Prince Aemon Targaryen, and mother to Princess Rhaenys Targaryen the “Queen Who Never Was”. She had dark eyes and black hair. She was one of the most beautiful woman at their time. She was the dark lady to her pale princeAemon.
I don’t know the color of her eyes. I just colored them dark bluish-violet with a hint of blue. Turned out pretty good.

(I forgot to post this before)
was cleaning up my drafts & found this post about gilly i wrote months ago that i chose not to share then; will share now:
Gilly is distressed, in deep depression, Sam wonders why that might be. Maybe the sea is scaring her. Maybe the child is hurting her. Maester Aemon tells us the truth: “Sam,” the old man whispered, “you have two good eyes, and yet you do not see. She is a mother grieving for her child.” This, of course, is a revelation about Jon. It also makes a claim about Gilly. Gilly, we learn, is in distress because she was forcibly separated from her infant child– every mother would be as distressed; Gilly’s distress is that of a mother. That is certainly true, though I remember thinking then, as I do now, of the many other problems Gilly is facing that remain uncommented on–unthought about–by the men that tell her story.
One of my fan favorites everywhere, Prince Aemon “The Dragon Knight” & Queen Naerys Targaryen having a sweet moment ✨ Let’s all pretend Aegon IV didn’t exist shall we?
