Okay. I know this is going to sound crazy, but hear me out.
We all know that Amortentia does not bring actual Love, just a strong obsession.
We also know that Bellatrix’s love for Voldemort is very much like a strong obsession.
So, my theory is, that when Voldemort started to try and gain followers, he was very desperate, and gave Bellatrix a big dose of Love Potion, which caused her to have a strong obsession with him.

Don’t mind me, I’ll just keep reccing the softest slice of life fics I find on my worst week and we’ll pretend everything’s fine and that I’m not crying like a baby it’s not a surprise that I went for something by @icmezzo to unwind; I love their writing and this fic gave me such a warm, gentle feeling. It’s funny, creative, sweet and sensitive. The idea (and imagery) of Draco baking fancy cakes is too good to resist, and I love how the author incorporated Amortentia here. I’m usually wary about this trope due do consent issues, but Harry’s lack of physical desire was a surprising and refreshing twist, handled carefully and in a quite satisfying way. He’s such a fascinating character here - I’ve never seen him written like this and I fell in love instantly. He’s oblivious but self-aware, kind but hasty, curious and daring, observant even when he keep waltzing in Draco’s life without a care. His chaotic energy is an endearing contrast to Draco’s wary, methodical and controlled self. Their dynamics felt organic from beginning to end and I loved the banter as much as I loved their vulnerable and introspective moments. The narrative is so smooth and charming I wish I could live inside this verse just to become best friends with Pans lol, she’s the best together with queen Rosemary
The birthday party was my favorite moment - it was so heartwarming to see everyone happy and celebrating together! All voices are great and Teddy’s excitement getting his Hogwarts letter left me emotional af (I LOVE HIM OKAY). I found hilarious how everyone already knew about Draco’s job and wanted to make sure Harry helped as little as he could in the cooking lmao (relatable! I can’t bake to save my life ). Smitten Draco stole my heart and I love all the small, unspoken things we learn about him throughout the story. The way he understoodwhat Harry was going through and approached him gave me so many feels. This fic is a very interesting take on the asexuality spectrum and combines acceptance, self-indulgence and careful exploration in a way that felt honest and comforting. Jump in!
