You know how some people in the fandom shrug off Naruto’s crush on Sakura like, “it was just a dumb crush” no big deal? But these same people take Sakura’s childhood crush on Sasuke seriously like it’s this deep long-lasting love. But Naruto’s feelings? No importante.
That’s not how it works.
Realistically, your 12-year-old crushes are superficial. Usually you just find this person cute and think in a selfish mindset what they can do for you - how winning them can up your social status (Sakura vying to be popular/better than Ino) or self-esteem (Naruto not wanting to be seen as a loser).
What I’m saying is, logically, anyone who watched this show should fall into 2 camps of thought.
A. if one interprets Sakura’s crush for Sasuke seriously - like it’s the real deal long-term ride or die shit, then you have to by the fucking transitive property of narrative logic, treat Naruto’s crush on Sakura in the same vein
B. if one interprets it as: Naruto had a crush on Sakura but it means nothing in the grand scheme of things, like it holds no candle to the real shit™ honest to god committed long-term romance (so he can be conveniently paired off with Hinata), then for fuck’s sake treat Sakura’s crush on Sasuke the exact same way
My take is that these crushes were a by-product of Naruto and Sakura’s struggles with self-esteem in early academy days.
Yes, their crushes evolved over time as the story progressed and they matured. Only bad writing had Sakura’s crush grow into this unhealthy infatuation, to the point of reality-bending denial, because imo the way it’s shown is still childish - heavily skewed towards how she feels about this man. (As a 12 yr old? cute. As a grown woman? yikes.)
Naruto’s crush on Sakura turned into a healthy friendship, full of mutual support and funny antics. Apart from lighthearted flirting, he doesn’t fixate on pursuing Sakura anymore. Sure, he likes her and asked her out for lunch a few times but in the chapters after the time skip I never got the impression that he was that serious about her.
What kills me about all this is how some people look so hard for a legit romance and reach so much to squeeze it out of these 2 crushes that imo neither grew into anything you can really work with. NaruSaku had potential because it’s a close friendship but was totally negated by the trainwreck of whatever Sakura thinks she has with Sasuke.

The events of Boruto couldn’t be Hinata’s dream, even though she “got what she wanted.” She’s barely present. The mother/wife trope has usurped most of her identity (clan politics, techniques, worldview, resilience). Her original goal wasn’t Naruto. He inspired her to become strong, but her goal was to become strong, for herself. Why would she let her husband neglect their family? The Hinata in Boruto is not who Hinata wants to be. The Naruto in Boruto isn’t the man Hinata loves.
In conclusion.

I understand that he’s the writer and that he can do anything he wants to with his series, but lying about it isn’t helping anyone here.
It’s obvious that Kishi is lying when he stated in the interview that he decided early on that Naruto will marry Hinata. That’s BS and everyone knows that.
The series contradicts everything he said here. In the entire canon manga, Naruto has not once showed any romantic feelings towards Hinata. He hasn’t shown anything that would lead us to believe he had feelings for her. It was all Sakura. It wasn’t “Kishi giving NS some screen time” in order to create a “love triangle”.
Manga gave us the impression that NaruSaku was going to be endgame. Manga told us that Naruto loved her endlessly and in the end, he will win her heart. That’s what the manga showed. Naruto never noticed Hinata through all this. He never noticed her in a different light. She was a friend to him, like shikimaru was to him. Nothing more. Nothing to suggest anything more. This is what the manga showed us. This is what Kishi wanted us to see. Yet he’s over here lying to us in order to damage control the ending and his decision to go with NH and SS.
He was obviously lying when he said those words. Authors sometimes do that in order to damage control. Kishi knows the ending wasn’t as well received as he hoped it’d be. Part of that reason was the pairings in the end. How he destroyed Sakura’s character in a blink of an eye. How he had to change Naruto’s character in order to fit in with Hinata. He knows all that. that’s why he’s saying all those BS statements. He wants to damage control and make it seem like he knew what he was doing the entire time. That he planned it all. But in reality, he didn’t. The manga shows us exactly what his intentions early on were. He planned for Naruto to end up with Sakura. He changed his mind towards the end because Sakura had a lot of haters and he decided to “save” his series by making Naruto end up with Hinata in order to please the “fans”. He didn’t care that the series would be in jeopardy, all he cared about was ending the series and ending it with the maximum potential for more money. (NH and SS both having children and being on the same team which would create another series to grab even more money).
“Kishi gave NS development in order to ‘create a love triangle’ with Hinata.” He never gave Hinata enough development with Naruto to warrant her being in a love triangle with Naruto and Sakura. She was never in the mix. She was always at a distance. And Naruto never noticed her in that way. She was just a friend, like Kiba. Sakura on the other hand was much more than a friend. She was his team mate, and the girl he was in love with. In Naruto’s eyes, there wasn’t anyone else except Sakura. He would’ve done anything he could have to protect her, even pushing her towards the other guy she loved. That’s how strong his love for her was.
So when Kishi says that he always planned for NH to happen, i say where? You never showed us any substantial hints towards Naruto returning Hinata’s feelings? You always showed us Naruto’s love for Sakura.
If Kishi truly planned for Hinata to be Naruto’s wife early on, i think he would’ve developed NH more, no? I think he would’ve gave us hints that Naruto returns her feelings? He should have focused on NH instead of NS if he truly wanted NH to be end game.
But he didn’t. Which leads me to believe that he planned for NS in the beginning, and changed his mind towards the end to please the haters who do nothing but hate Sakura. Based on the story, NaruSaku was the most plausible ship. This is manga fact and Kishi can’t back peddle enough to make all this disappear.
SasuSaku is the absolute worse thing that happened to both Sakura and Sasuke.
For Sakura, it regresses her Character development. She went right back to early part 1. Every single panel that developed her, made her much more mature and confident went right out the window when she threw herself at Sasuke without a single hesitation. Completely and utterly ruined her Character.
For Sasuke, it changes his character just so he can be with Sakura. He never showed any hint of romantic feelings towards Sakura the entire manga. He only ever showed friendship bonds they shared as team 7, but that’s the extent of it. Sasuke was never interested in love with her. He showed much more care and worry towards Karin, to be honest here. Sasuke in the end should have ended up alone. He never showed romantic feelings for anyone throughout the manga, and in the end, it should stay that way. Kishi had other plans, thought. He wanted as much fan service as he can throw in the final chapter. SasuSaku was nothing but fan service because it doesn’t make sense for them to be together after everything they’ve been through. Not to mention the countless times Sasuke tried to kill her. At the very least, they should’ve been friends, like they were back in part 1. That’s it. Anything further than that is fan service.
On the other hand, Naruto was outright in love with Sakura the entire manga. The main character doesn’t get what he wants in the end. That’s how you know the ending was terrible. Naruto’s character was compromised because a lot of people are fans of Hinata. Fan service at it’s finest.
If Kishi would have ended the manga based on his damn story, it would be a Naruto x Sakura ending. They were developed amazingly. Naruto’s love for her never wavered. Sakura started to understand Naruto as the story went on, and she started to return his love for her. She started caring for him constantly. Even putting him first over Sasuke. Sakura deserves someone like Naruto who will treat her right. Sasuke in the new manga and movies is a deadbeat. He never shows up at home, and completely forgets what his daughter looks like. This is clear evidence that he is not looking for a relationship. He has other things on his mind. Like repenting for everything he did.
You know whats funny? I used to Debate with NaruHina fans before Naruto ended, and 99% of them were all convinced that Naruto loves Hinata. Specially when she saved him from Pain. Now, flash forward to the end of the manga, and it’s 100% proven that Naruto never had any feelings for her throughout the manga. This means that all those NaruHina fans claiming that “NH had a lot of development” were absolutely wrong.
NaruHina never happened in the manga. Manga ended and Naruto wasn’t interested in her. Kishi had to make a movie for Naruto to fall in love with her. This alone proves that NH shouldn’t of happened. If you have to make a movie to develop a pairing, you know you’re doing something wrong. Kishi had 700 chapters to develop NH but he couldn’t. Because it doesn’t fit into the story. It doesn’t make sense.
I’d also like to note that Naruto: The last wasn’t 100% Kishi’s work. Kishi supervised it and helped, but he didn’t make it completely. And the only reason he says it’s canon, is so people will watch it. Regardless if he agrees with the movie or not.
Kishi and SP needed to make a movie with a 2 year time skip from the ending of the manga. They needed to change Naruto’s character so it fits with Hinata. They even changed Hinata a little to resemble Sakura.
Flash forward to Boruto, and Naruto looks like he’s hating his life. I’ve never seen Naruto more depressed than when he became Hokage. Lol. They completely and utterly destroyed this show.
In the end of the day, it’s all about the money. With NH and SS, they make much more money because they can have each of their kids on the same team and create another series to bring in more money.
Naruto has a goofy, loud, caring, joking bubbly personality.
Naruto with Hinata: Naruto’s personality is suppressed. As Hinata is extremely shy, he has trouble even making small talk with her. Naruto is forced to change his personality in order for him to have a decent conversation with Hinata. This means that Naruto isn’t being himself with Hinata.
Naruto with Sakura:As seen in the entire manga, Naruto has no trouble talking and getting along with Sakura. That’s because Naruto can be himself with Sakura. He can make jokes, act like an idiot and even pull pranks with her. Sakura allows Naruto to fully show his personality around her. He can be himself.This is why Kushina wanted Naruto to find a girl like her. Kushina knew what her son’s personality is like, and she knew that he needs to find a girl like herself so she can take care of him. So her son can be himself around her. So that her son can be truly happy.
Naruto and Sakura are perfect for each other. They complete each other. Naruto acts like an idiot, and Sakura straightens him out. This is their dynamics and this is when both characters are most happiest.
Naruto and Sakura - both genuinely love each other and have the utmost respect for each other.
Minato and Kushina- Same as NaruSaku. Genuine love. They were so pure together.
Tsunade and Jiriaya - They never got together but you can tell they had real love and care for each other.
Shikamaru and Temari - Innocent love. They’re not in your face throughout the manga, but when you see them together, you can see a connection.
Obito and Rin - Obito’s love for Rin was the same as Naruto’s for Sakura. Innocent love that ended up tragic. Rin cared for obito deeply as well.
Unhealthy ships:
Sasuke and Ino: Obsessive and superficial.
Sasuke and Karin: Obsessive and superficial. She may have real feelings for Sasuke, but it started out unhealthy and it just doesn’t work.
Sasuke and Sakura: Abusive, Obsessive and unhealthy. Sasuke made Sakura’s character development go backwards. Every time Sasuke is in a scene with Sakura, she automatically turns into the little kid she was in the beginning before she started to grow and mature. This indicates that Sasuke is not good for Sakura. Sakura in the new movie turned into a stay at home mother who cooks and cleans all day. This isn’t what Sakura should be doing. Sakura had so much ambition and growth, and with Sasuke, that all went to waste. Kishi was forced to change Sakura’s character in order for her to somewhat fit in with Sasuke in the end.
Naruto and Hinata: Obsessive. Hinata’s whole world is Naruto. That isn’t healthy at all. Her close cousin dies in front of her, and all she can think of is Naruto. Her love is innocent but she took it too far. Naruto (in Boruto) treats her and his kids terribly. The reason he’s like that with his kids and wife is because his personality doesn’t match with Hinata at all. They had to change Naruto’s personality in order for NH to happen. This is a sign that the ship in question is not healthy. It’s not pure.
If Kishi called NaruSaku and all their developments a “red herring”, then what does NH and SS Qualify as? A cameo? Kishi spent the entire manga developing a “red herring” ship, and then in the end, he didn’t make it canon. Why not spend the entire manga developing NH and SS properly? That would have saved so many people from the headache they got reading that ending.
If kishi wanted NH and SS as an end pairing, why did he develop NS more? Why did he make it so much more realistic and pure? Why didn’t he spend those pages on NH and SS? This is the exact reason that leads me to believe that Kishi did not have NH and SS planned as endgame. He was forced to change it. That’s why the ending doesn’t make sense. He rushed it and it turned out all wrong.
This is desperation talking if anything. Naruto is like both Minato and Kushina. It’s his parents for goodness sake. Of course he’s like both of them. But Naruto in the end of the day is taking after Minato. It’s been foreshadowed millions of times. Naruto is going to become Hokage just like his father. Naruto is going to get a girl he loves and marry her just like his father. Naruto is going to get stronger just like his father. Minato followed the footsteps of Jiriaya. Naruto also followed the footsteps of Minato. Minato learned Sage mode. Naruto also learned Sage mode. Naruto is an exact replica of Minato. This isn’t even an argument. It’s a fact. Naruto Parallels his Father. And his mother told him to find a girl like her. Meaning that the girl Naruto is going to find has to be the same as Kushina. And if we look at both girls that Naruto has had an eye on. Only oneof them is like Kushina and that’s Sakura. This ends the argument that “Hinata is Minato and Naruto is Kushina” BS.

Hinata doesn’t parallel Minato in any way. Just because he’s quiet and calm, doesn’t mean he parallels Hinata. Hinata isn’t relevant here. Hinata was born into a strong family with blessed powers. Minato on the other hand was born into an unknown clan and had to work his butt off to become Hokage. He mastered FTG and used his intellect to become great. Minato’s character is nothing like Hinata. If hinata is like Minato because he is “calm/shy/collected” then we can also say that Hinata = Shino who is the same personality type as both Minato and Hinata. Horrible comparison. What is fact is that Naruto is an exact parallel of Minato and Sakura is an exact parallel of Kushina. This is manga fact that Kishi has been pointing out throughout the manga. Anyone who uses the “Hinata is like Minato” is just grasping at straws here.

Minato fell in love with Kushina when he was a kid. Naruto fell in love with Sakura when he was a kid. Naruto fell in “love” with Hinata long after the manga ended. SP had to make a movie about Naruto “falling” in love with her. This means the entire manga, Naruto was not in love with Hinata. It means that the manga ended and Naruto still didn’t have feelings for Hinata. SP had to make a scene where Naruto rescues Hinata and falls in “love” with her.
It would’ve made tons more sense to end the manga with Sakura returning Naruto’s love after everything they’ve went through. To show Sakura’s growth and maturity. Not regress Sakura’s character backwards. The manga basically ended terribly. Sakura went back to her old crying, weak and emotional state in the end. Why you ask? Well it’s because it’s the only way for her and Sasuke to end up together in the end. Kishi didn’t give them a proper development, so he was forced to come up with total BS in the end to justify his intentions. And they came out horribly wrong.
In conclusion, Naruto is Minato. Sakura is Kushina. Manga perfectly points towards this.

It literally happened, and Sakura’s thoughts are basically the same.
Sasusaku has always been the most hilarious fandom in Naruto. They have said some truly stupid shit, tried to defend things with said stupidity, and liked this ship on superficial and/or incorrect basis at best.
However, I think, in my two years in the fandom, this has by far been the day when the most ridiculously awful and hilariously sad theories have ever popped out of the Sasusaku fandom. So hilarious that I couldn’t just laugh and move along like usual. It has to be brought to light so that perhaps SS (who, despite this post being properly tagged, will stalk the anti tag and see it) can read it from an outsiders persepctive (as in, someone who doesn’t ship NS/SK), and read how stupid they sound so they can stop making bigger laughing stocks of themselves than they already are.
These are the most popular and passed around theories I’ve come across
1) Sasuke doesn’t know he has a daughter.
If you want to argue that Sasuke doesn’t know he has a daughter, fine. But it only makes things more abysmal for Sakura. As, you see, Sasuke couldn’t give enough fucks about Sakura to come see or have any contact with her in over a decade. Further keeping line with him, for the entire manga, treating her like an afterthought at best. It heavily implies that her love not only does not get through to him, but that its not reciprocated nearly as strongly. It also cements Sakura’s pathetic status, because she let Sasuke hit it and quit it, and she is content to be a single mother clinging to her scraps of attention she will always crave in between being made to feel like shit since, consistently, the day she was put on Team 7 with him.
2) Sasuke is off looking for a cure for Sarada’s eyes! Sakura is healing her eyes in secret because of her sharingan!
Sasuke somehow passed down blurry vision to Salad is canonically impossible, as his swagged out implanted Itachi eyes prevented blindness. Not to mention (I really shouldn’t have to mention) that blurry vision is not something you can genetically pass down as this was due to something he has done to his body for spamming Mangekyou Sharingan, not a genetic trait for naturally blurry vision/predisposal to blindness (its like the equivalent of saying your kid will have lung cancer because you used to smoke). Also, trying to argue that Salad’s glasses aren’t normal glasses but special ones that prevent her sharingan from activating cause she’s just so OP stronk for some reason that she activated Mangekyou Sharingan as a baby, because, as they seem to be forgetting, base/three tomoe sharingan does not deteriorate vision. Mangekyou Sharingan does.
More than any of that though, apparently Sasuke could not search for a cure without ignoring his family for twelve years and not meeting his daughter for her entire life.
3) Sakura is fainting because she’s pregnant!
If she is, then that makes the situation even worse with the implications! It’s one thing to not have seen the father of your child in twelve years, but its another to be fucking the father of your child in secret and being completely okay with him leaving and not even meeting your twelve year old kid for the first time . Or coming pack to get some pussy and ignoring the child you left her with. And will probably go on to ignore the kid you knocked her up with. It only makes Sakura look more desperate, horribly pathetic, and a selfish mother completely lacking in integrity. For Sasuke, it only makes him look like a complete and utter asshole beyond repair.
4) It’s all a genjutsu! That’s why it was translated one way as “Crimson Moon”! They’re caught in Infinite Tsukiyomi.
…So, what you’re saying is that Madara succeeded, and all of this is a dream. Salad does not actually exist, neither do Bolt, Himawari, Shikadai, Chouchou, or Inojin. None of the things in 699 or 700 ever actually happened. This is not only the way Kishi wanted to end his manga, but he also wants to completely go back and rewrite the ending of his series in a mini series?
Also, remember when you mocked Narusaku for this? Called it desperate, sad, pathetic, and delusional? Yeah…
5) Sasuke wiped Sakura and Salad’s memories to protect them!
I don’t even know where to start with this. First of all, since when does Sasuke possess the power to erase people’s memories? Secondly, this doesn’t match up at all with the basic shit that was said in the chapter. Salad talks about never having met her father. She knows her father. She is aware of him. Sakura talks of knowing Sasuke. She is aware of him. If Sasuke wanted to erase their memories of him to protect them, why does he only erase the happy memories they, allegedly, have? Why not erase his existence from their memories altogether, if that was his super tragic plan? Also, Sakura seems to remember enough to want to fabricate a happy photo of them together over a picture of Taka, because she doesn’t have any. If she didn’t possess the full awareness of Sasuke not being with her for twelve years and all it’s blunt sadness, she just wouldn’t have bothered.
Also, this makes no sense on a story structure level. What enemies exist that are so OP stronk that they can defeat the OP powerlevel stronk abilities of Naruto and Sasuke? Or all the K11 who still seem to be powerful? Its not a secret that Salad is an Uchiha, so its not a matter of them hiding her heritage. Considering that there is only one other Uchiha alive, its unanimous that she is Sasuke Uchiha’s daughter, and everyone knows this as well. For fucks sake, Sakura sees no problem in plastering Uchiha paraphenilia all over their house. She and Salad are basically living in an advertisement, yet nothing has happened to them, so “being targeted by Sasuke’s enemies” and Sasuke wanting to protect them from this is blatantly incorrect.

Sakura has expressed she has no idea what Sasuke is doing. Given her almost embarrassed reaction at being questioned about Sasuke, it is made apparent that if she could actually tell her daughter that Sasuke was on a mission and that’s why he isn’t around, she would, rather than have to embarrassedly admit all this unsureness. Also, Sasuke has been gone on a redemption journey. He has never lived in the Village. He is doing his own thing.

Salad- “I never got to meet him at all. He left when I was a baby.” is one translation. “As far back as I can possibly remember, I have never once met my father.” is another.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t erase the fact that Salad has no recollection of ever meeting her father, they have no relationship, and he has not been to see either of them in 10-11 years, according to this theory.
8) Salad can’t be Karin’s kid! She has Sakura’s eye shape and looks nothing like her!
There is no sense or point in debating this and making long ass “eye shape analysis” posts any longer. The acknowledgment that Salad looks like Karin is made within canon. It was the entire basis for the ending conflict that arose in the chapter. Its what will be pushing the conflict in the future, that Salad looks like this other mystery woman in this picture she always thought was of her mother and Sasuke, but was fabricated. Salad looks like Karin. Whether or not she is Karin’s daughter is irrelevant to the argument.

Doesn’t matter. The damage done is irreversible. Sakura is confirmed to be a doormat. Sakura may not have even married Sasuke. Sakura has no photos of Sasuke, and has to photoshop herself onto a photo of Sasuke with Taka and another woman. Sakura hasn’t seen or heard from Sasuke in 12-13 years. Sakura is still angty and miserable.Salad does not know her father. Sasuke has been wandering around on his redemption journey for 12 straight years.The dynamic between Sasuke and Sakura has not grown or changed from when they were 12. Salad finds fault in her mother for letting Sasuke do whatever he wants, even completely neglecting their child, while Sakura just wants to deflect. Sakura is miserably pathetic. Sasuke still makes her feel like shit and she allows him to make their child feel like shit because she is so used to being treated as an afterthought and being happy with his scraps of attention (or nothing, as seems to be the case now) that she is surprised when Salad has more dignity and self respect than her to question this.
All of this has been cemented.
Sasusaku, for all their arrogance, for all their mocking of others, ignored the content of 700 (like they always did with the manga in general) and created a perfect SS happy family with pussy whipped Sasuke, feisty Sakura, and doting father to his Uchiha princess, convinced themselves of this, and were ultimately devastated when Kishi blew a cannon through their bubble. Now, in the largest effort at damage control I’ve seen from them so far, they are scrambling to come up with something to salvage this. Trying to be “positive” about the situation and the flaws their ship has always possessed somehow blindsiding them for still being there despite no implication it was ever any different (as well as these same flaws never having bothered them before). Playing the victim and/or lashing out at everyone who is laughing at their fandom, Sakura, and Sasusaku (which is practically the entire Naruto fandom at this point) with the only thing they can ,maybe (because Kishi has done worse), confidently say in their ship’s defense- Salad is not Karin’s child. They cannot combat anything else. Its a trainwreck in slow motion.
My only hope that Sasusaku gets out of this is to learn how to take your massive L quietly, and perhaps develop better taste in general and actual standards, so liking something like Sasusaku won’t occur in the future.

I have one, they actually believe that Sasuke protecting Sakura when he was younger is because he loves her. but when it comes to Karin, another female being saved by him they denied any kind of romantic feelings + all the times he had putt his life on risk for Naruto. Sakura is the last thing in what Sasuke is thinking at this point lol
I don’t care about Sakura anymore, but I do care that Kishi doesn’t respect his fans to the point of blatantly lying and contradicting his work, his earlier words and common sense. No matter how much you hate Sakura or NS, you can’t just deny what was put on paper. And yet he does it. I am stunned.
He’s been like this ever since the ending. Every interview, he said something that contradicted with another interview or what he wrote. Tbf, the fandom doesn’t respect his work either, all they care is the ships and Sakura and Hinata both of whom Kishi said “did nothing” in the story.
I think he knows his fans hate him anyway, and he hates his fans too. He also whined about people who criticised the ending and called them “annoying noise”. He watched codeprovider’s videos, codes HATES naruto, Kishimoto got to be aware part of the fanbase loathe him.
I think you guys should enjoy these interviews, cos every things he spews is one more reason to hate hinata and kishimoto. It’s not like you guys respect Kishimoto anyway, the more bullshit he say, the better.
He really is just a fraud who got lucky. The series’s success is built on wish fulfilment. Half of the plot from part 1 was copied from hunter x hunter.
It’s weird for me the justification that some people use for a girl “win” a guy in Naruto. When I think well it's almost never related with the dynamic of the relationship. Insted what I see are arguments like “she was the one who recognized him first” or “She’s the one who loved himthe most” or “She’s the one who understand who he is”, etc.
In the begining we can argue the ship wars are all about the girls’ point of view but if you think it doesn’t actually focus in who this women are as humans(which would make the argument be correct) but in what actions they can have to deserve the man.
The girls are ignored for the guys who they are in love with for years (not just for some months) and the only reason why they recive something back wasn’t because the boys realize how amazing this girls are as a person but because this woman are the ones who know how AMAZING this guys are and showed all their devotion and love for them.
So in the end romance in Naruto is not about the girls, it’s actually about woman satisfying the male ego (I’m not saying Sasuke or Naruto for exemple need or want to be worship by Hinata or Sakura but in the end this is what happened in the relationship).
Of course you can argue for exemple when Sakura talks about Sasuke she always says things about herself and see this as a evidence that the guys doesn’t matter in the relationship but in a outside context the reason why she marry him has nothing to do with who she is (Kishimoto doesn’t show or care what’s better for her) but as we saw in interviews it was because a woman can't leave the man she loves
When Kishimoto shows a relationship dinamic where the men are unable to have a opinion (let’s be real the guys in Naruto don’t care about things involving romance at least related to girls) while most part of the girls thoughts involve men he is saying to me he thinks when a relationship or a family became shit the ones who should be blame for are the women.
The worship for this kind of relationships in media doesn’t help the women to be empowered actually is just the point of the icebergs for create abusive relationships in real life specially for women who need always choose love insted of care for themselves.

So the wife is watching Dragon Ball Super(DBKai) and I remembered seeing that Kishitmoto said Boruto is his Gohan and Sasuke is Piccolo.
Ok let’s then check the differences between Dragon Ball Super and Boruto:
1) Piccolo does NOT have his own child to train, he trains Gohan out of goodwill only. Sasuke on the other hand HAS his own fucking child to train, who he does NOT give a shit about and ABANDONS in order to train Boruto.
2) Gohan actually DOES love his father Goku even if said father spends most of his time training or fighting, because when he’s NOT training or fighting, he’s home with his kids, playing with them, going out, living a normal life with them. Boruto on the other hand doesn’t get to see his shit father even when said father isn’t doing jack shit, Naruto simply does NOT LIKE his own son and AVOIDS THE FUCK out of being near him, and that causes Boruto to HATE his father.
Now let’s take a small twist and compare Vegeta and Bulma to Sasusaku (lol) since SStards like to compare both couples so much:
1) Vegeta actually DOES love Bulma and Trunks, that is EXPLICITED often in Dragon Ball Super, from Vegeta using the ugly uniform Bulma made for him ONLY because she made it for him and his protecting her ALL THE TIME and ACTUALLY INTERACTING WITH HER often without ever treating her badly to the fact that HE trains Trunks and has a HEALTHY father-son dynamic with him, so much so that he ends up training Goten with Trunks because he KNOWS his own kid and appreciates the fact that they fight better together. Oh, and Vegeta LIVES happily with Bulma and Trunks.
Now let’s analyze Sasusaku (lol):
Sasuke does NOT live with Sakura and Sarada, he REFUSES to train Sarada, he has ONLY MET Sarada when she was fucking TWELVE years old (and worse yet, he spent those 12 years away doing a USELESS mission that yielded ZERO results) having NEVER contacted her or Sakura before that, he NEVER even looks at Sakura’s way when she needs to be protected, hell, he won’t even HELP PAY THE FUCKING BILLS and he STILL TREATS SAKURA LIKE SHIT WHENEVER SHE’S AROUND HIM.
Isn’t it ironic that Kishimoto wants to compare his HORRIBLE story to Toryiama’s actually GOOD familial dynamics?
