getting ready to participate in an upcoming art exhibit and decided to redraw a sakura piece that i did a little over a year ago (full size for better quality)

I haven’t uploaded anything in a long time as I’m in my final year of my law degree and I have zero free time. But here’s a wip from about 2 years ago I never got around to finishing. I might finish it this summer if I haven’t forgotten how to draw completely…
Hi guys, it’s been a while. My boyfriend and I bought an apartment in the city in December and we got a new puppy so things have been hectic. I don’t even have my computer or graphics tablet in here yet from lack of space so I haven’t drawn anything in at least 9 months. So here’s a quick sketch I did with a ballpoint pen. It’s Sakura as wonder woman because why the hell not.
“Is that —” Naruto starts, completely bewildered at the sudden flood of very familiar voices. That’s definitely Sasuke and Ino and…Sakura? What the hell.
He shares a glance with Hinata, who is as equally as bewildered as him.
…It turns out Sasuke and Ino are fighting. Like, going all out, clawing at each other but without any of the finesse they acquired as ninjas; while Sakura is crouching beside them and hiding her face in her hands and keeps muttering, “Oh my god.” Over and over again.
Naruto isn’t at all sure on what the hell Sasuke and Ino are fighting about and watches as they keep physically pushing at each other and throw insults back and forth with snarls.
“S-should we stop them?” Hinata whispers.
Naruto numbly shakes his head. He does not want to get in between that.
“Well, you have duckbutt hair!” Ino screams, and Sasuke — just stops.
There’s a brief of deeply wounded expression on his face that Naruto has never seen on him before it disappears as quick as it came, and Sasuke says, defensively, “I don’t.”
“Yes, you do. It’s the ugliest and ridiculous thing I’ve seen — how could confidently you go on a date with Sakura with that atrocity on your head!”
Sakura has stopped hiding her face and is watching this exchange with horror on her face, “Ino, don’t! Not the hair! That’s the one thing he’s —”
The warning is too late: the deeply wounded expression has appeared back on Sasuke’s face.
Ino is taken back; it’s clear she didn’t except this insult to actually work. Sakura is instantly at Sasuke’s side and cupping his face. “It’s not true, Sasuke-kun,” She murmurs, “Ino doesn’t know what she is talking about it.”
It seems to be working, whatever Sakura is doing. Naruto internally cheers yougo!! sakura-chan!! but then — Sakura says, “Your duckbutt hair is beautiful,” and Naruto immediately cringes, “The way the hair sticks out is so cute.”
Its even worse because she’s every bit genuine with the way she’s smiling at Sasuke.
“Sakura —”
“I’m not lying to you,” She continues, so genuine it honestly hurts Naruto to watch this, “I mean it. Like, so okay, it might look a duckbutt but — it’s so adorable!”
“Sakura, stop. Please.”
Sasuke looks more deeply pained than before. Sakura doesn’t hear his quiet pleas and marches on. Naruto can’t watch this anymore.
“Let’s go, Hinata.” Naruto whispers, taking her hand. They go, without looking back, with expressions of deep sympathy and silent, sorry sasuke, in their hearts.
Ino isn’t as sympathetic. She’s outright laughing, and falling deeper in love, as Sakura continues her charade and even chides her for laughing at “Poor Sasuke-Kun” whilst she reminds completely oblivious. Though, Sakura doesn’t really call him that, she implies it very loudly.
been getting urges to write some naruhina, don’t know where the hell Sakura, Ino & Sasuke came from.
“O-Oh,” Hinata says, when she turns around to meet him. Her eyes goes slightly wide, and Naruto doesn’t know if that’s a good thing or not. “You cut your hair.”
Naruto feels all of a sudden self-conscious, with those pale eyes focused on him; his neck heats up. “Uh, yeah.” He says, with a chuckle, scratching the back of his head. And going for causal, adds, trying to not look at her and failing, “I thought a change might be nice. Does…it look bad?”
Hinata startles at the question which makes himfeelall weird for asking it. Shit, should he have not? He thought it was an okay question. Like, a I-totally-don’t-have-crush-on-you-ha-ha question. Well, considering, his only experience with love was Sakura-chan, which he was very vocal about, shit —
“No,” Hinata speaks, soft and sudden. Naruto nearly jumps from the unexpectedness of it. “No — No, it doesn’t look bad, it…suits you. It looks nice.” She says the last words as fast as she could, growing so red in the face it’s honestly amazing. Naruto could feel his face heating up, as well. Oh god.
“Thanks,” He manages out, somehow, a smile threatening to spilt his face.
Hinata gives him a small, shy smile back. Naruto has never been so glad that he chose to cut his hair.
In the background, hiding conspicuously behind a bush:
“Oh my god, they should get married already. Or get a room. I feel like dying just from watching them.” Ino groans.
“Hn.” Sasuke agrees, even when he loathes to agree with Ino on anything.
“By the speed they’re going at, it will be years before anything happens. That Naruto! He’s so oblivious. How can he not see that she loves him???” Sakura laments.
“Are you sure you sure you should be complaining about somebody else’s love life, Forehead. I’m dying from being around you two, when are you two going to —”
Sakura screetches and immediately moves to cover Ino’s mouth and stop her from saying anymore. “Oh my god, Ino.”
Ino pushes her hand away. “Seriously, if this Uchiha here won’t —” more struggle as Ino tries to move Sakura’s hand off her again “—I’d be more willing,” a purr against Sakura’s skin that makes her shiver, “to have you myself.”
Sakura’s face heats up; Sasuke immediately recovers from his choking fit, decidedly not liking this new development and tries to move in between them.

Sasuke didn’t care about the stupid fanclub thing half of the school had suddenly decided to create. But this… this was just —
“Youcan’tbe in Karin’s fanclub.” Sasuke said, keeping his voice calmly levelled as he stared at large print of Karin’s face on the t-shirt Sakura was wearing. He could feel his face contort the longer he stared at it. This couldn’t be happening.
“I’min Karin’s fanclub, though, Sasuke.” Sakura tried to point out, pressing her lips together. He glared at her pathetic attempt of hiding her laughter.
“You’remy girlfriend. You can’t be in Karin’sfanclub.”
“She’smy girlfriend too, you asshole!” Karin shouted, unnecessarily loud, as Sakura rolled her eyes at his comment. Sasuke had been trying to ignore Karin’s existence the entire time and the arm she had around Sakura as she smugly plastered herself all against Sakura, who was wearing Karin’sfanclub shirt. His scowl deepened.
“And?” Sasuke said, a little too sharp. “There’s —” He stopped himself before he could say something embarrassing like she could’ve joined the sasuke fanclub butSakura knew him far too well, unfortunately, and stared at him knowingly with that infuriating glint in her eyes. His neck, mortifyingly, started to grow warm.
The bell for the next class decided to ring at that moment; Sasuke had never been so glad for the timing.
I was just thinking (again) about how it’s absolutely funny that everyone that has been a team with sasuke has been in love with them….like okay, so maybe they aren’t, but you can easily interpret it that way, and it would be more funny that way. anyways, as I was saying, I was thinking about that when I stumbled on very funny and very good narusasu fic idea.
like…. thinking of sasuke coming to the horrific realisation that literally all of team taka (well, with the exception of juugo) + seven are in love with him. used to be, for some. (its karin & sakura, who are very into each other now) and thinks it must be some curse and thinks again, of what he had just said, and — that — that must be mean…. naruto…too… is… maybe. perhaps. there’s a possibility, and sasuke finds that he isn’tat all repulsed by the idea. he….he… doesn’t not like it? if he imagines naruto pressing all up against him like karin, or if he had walked around nak— sasuke cuts off that thought abruptly, and doesn’t know how to deal with this sudden epiphany, that naruto might like him romantically and… sasuke isn’t against that idea, at all. likes it even. it’s very weird to deal with. and of course, naruto has no absolutely idea he likes sasuke that way at all, and this makes things very hard. like so much harder, and not even the fun hard. like in where, sasuke goes investigating but in a subtle way, of course, which turns out to be unsubtle and naruto is like, “why….are you acting so weirdly, teme???” and is all concerned and sasuke gets irritated (embarrassed) and then naruto gets irritated by sasuke by not making sense and being a bastard and it ends in a fight and they get nowhere, again.
all of konoha (and by that, I mean, konoha 12 mostly) watch this disaster occur and is like yep, yeah, not getting anywhere near that disaster, so naruto & sasuke are left to themselves, which is very bad all around, and they barely get anywhere. naruto is so convinced that sasuke is his brother, insists and says it very much and very loudly, while also waxing some poetry about his eyes. it’s all very weird, around and sasuke is so confused and upset, and… god… it’s a mess. I don’t even know where I’ll go with it. I do want a scene where sai decides to intervene, but like… in a sai-way where he didn’t mean to intervene for the purposeful act of intervening, he was just curious of what the fuck was going on with them and comes out, being just as confused. sakura shakes her head, and is like, I don’t get them either and don’t want to, honestly. but seriously. things escalate to the point where she’s being affected, and getting irritated, and done by them that she has no choice to intervene. it does nothing but make everything worse. everyone decides to never talk about what happened that week. ever.
