#art year in review

LIVE

2021 was a busy year, and a good one. I made some big decisions regarding my career, I lived in four houses and two different provinces, I grew in my skills and made new friends, and I found a place to settle down. There were difficult parts–this Christmas was especially tough as my family caught covid and had to isolate–but there was joy through it all. One of my favourite bits was getting to read all your comments and tags! I read every one, and it’s SO cool to see what moves or stands out to you! I’m excited to see how I grow in 2022!

It’s that time again!  Time for an Art Year in Review!

Ehhhhhn.  On the one hand, not as productive a year as 2020.  Started out well!  Went to hell in the third quarter.  But I’m pretty happy with the things I did get done?  Boy, I sure did draw Ford a lot!  (This is not a negative, just an observation.)

49 total pieces of art; 107 individual figures.

Truly hoping to get a grip and get back in the swing of things as this new year starts!

Links to pieces below the cut:

January:Portal Ford and Alien Kitty

February:Ford Conferring with the Cycloptopus

March:Uncomfortable in Formal Wear

April:Sweater Twins Collaboration!

May:Magnet-gun Slide (screenshot redraw)

June:Happy Summerween 2021!

July:Sea Grunks chatting with Bigfoot

August:Happy 22nd Birthday to Mabel and Dipper!

September:Road Trip Zine piece

October:Indiana Pines Boys (part one)

November:Anna Reilly (commission for nelson-and-murdock)

December:Happy New Year with Sea Grunks!

Almost left it a little late but here’s my art from this year! fairly happy with progress made on personal art goals I set myself! Goodbye 2020 I hope 2021 treats you all more kindly

Not going by month or anything bc I am an inconsistent little creature but here are some of my favorite works from this year! Got procreate and it completely changed the way I work, started making a bunch of symmetrical stuff, and finally (finally!) started finding a Style I’m actually excited about. Thanks for sticking with me and I wish y’all a peaceful and restful new year. :-)

2020 in review…. I drew a surprising amount this year, and got to a state I’d have previously called finished with a lot of things. I think I have a new standard for “finished” now. Which from my previous “never finishing anything” state is a pretty vast improvement! So go team. Something good came out of 2020.

So! 2017. Not that great a year for personal art. I did do a few things I really love, but I haven’t

So! 2017.

Not that great a year for personal art. I did do a few things I really love, but I haven’t made time for it regularly like I wanted and I’m not happy about that. I even struggled to find anything for some months. Let’s try again and do better in 2018. ᕦ( ᐛ )ᕤ

Happy new year everyone!!

So, 2021 is over. What a year hey? But even in amongst the not so good parts, I got to do some fun commissions, make art for some of my favourite fanfics, and improve my art skills.

Wishing you all a safe, healthy and happy 2022

Here’s my recap of my favorite pieces from each month of 2020. Helluva year, but being able to turn

Here’s my recap of my favorite pieces from each month of 2020. Helluva year, but being able to turn to my tablet helped keep me sane. Thanks so much to everyone who supported me with a like or a reblog, left a kind comment, requested a pose, or purchased prints/stickers/commissions. Here’s to growth in the future :^)

Didn’t get much art done over the summer bc I had a major work deadline, but going back over my archive I was surprised how much I drew this year after all!

Happy New Year girlies
