#summary of art
Well, it’s time to take stock of the year
And it was a very bad year in terms of drawing, I no longer know what is happening to me. Now I hate literally everything about my style. I don’t feel like I’ve gotten any better at drawing over the past year and a half. I feel bad that my arts from 2019 look better and livelier than the current ones. This is some kind of shame. The whole of 2021 is 70% aggressive, and I’m afraid this mood will continue next year, until something really explosive happens, Idk.
I’m tired. So tired. And it makes me sad.
Now, like no one else, I’m waiting for the beginning of January, which will give me serotonin and the illusion of a blank slate. I have a lot of things planned, and I hope that postponed life syndrome will not prevent me from realizing at least a little bit

This year was difficult, but manageable. Some thing were good, some things were nasty, but in the end, we are here and we made it! Congrats to us all.

2019 art summaryyyyyy
I’ve tried out some new styles this year so I feel like I’ve maybe improved somewhat. :)
and here we go again:

AND WHAT AN INCONSISTENT STYLE xD
2020 was a very strange year… can’t even tell if more in a positive or negative way, it was just strange öwö
from february to april I tried out to paint… but I didn’t really get used to it. so in may I participated at the mermay challenge again but with just one mermaid (instead of 20 like 2019 lmao)
later on in may/june my oc Naevia was born and july will probably be a forever wip TuT
august was a small side project planned, only a few ppl know so far. but bc I was such in a desert- bellydancer vibe I wasn’t well able to work on it properly (also cause life hitted me hard at this point of the year) so I left it on ice with some moar ideas for another time…
in septermber I had a small “comeback?” after an emergency hiatus. I really liked this artwork tbh, cause the hairstyle was very out of my comfort zone to draw öwö oct & nov were good months, so I was in a good flow :3
december slowly went a bit into a lazy phase cause I’ve tried to play some games, since I pretty much didn’t played a lot during the whole year TuT
so overall the year was actually good I mean ofc, it could get/be better, but I am happy about it so far.
because I experimented so much this year with different styles and programs, I feel very motivated to start 2021! looking forward to it

summary of art time of year again!!
I made a lot more original work this year, trying to think really deeply about what kind of images I want to make as opposed to just following the whims of fanart. And even when I was making fanart trying to focus on conveying a fully formed idea and not just mindlessly drawing characters…I also started working on freelance on top of my full time job and taking classes which ate up a lot of my free time for more silly, smaller art projects… still happy with what i churned out!

I almost wasn’t going to put together a summary of art for 2020, but I decided to anyway because despite everything that happened I managed to draw some pretty decent things!
2020 in particular was really difficult for me; I went through a breakup that unfortunately dragged on for 8 months and involved lawyers, and during that time period the COVID-19 pandemic also forced me to go into 3 months of isolation. That 3 month period of strict isolation included forcing me to work from home, spending my birthday (physically) alone, stopping all floor hockey league games, and having to deal with legal documents and procedures that could have been dealt with before the pandemic started.
I’m doing a lot better now mentally, but between all the shit that happened from the end of 2019 up to this point, art as a hobby for me took a huge step onto the backburner. I’m surprised I even had enough energy and motivation to even FINISH half of the pieces I drew in 2020
Either way, I’m glad people still enjoy my work; even if nowadays posts are few and far between because most of my energy is spent working (don’t get me wrong, I love my job), illustration will always be something I have a passion for!
