There will be loads of other stuff happening too. We’ll have print demos, a print sale, we’ll have a new exhibition of members work and more!
On Thursday we’re opening our doors to celebrate the completion of our studio expansion and to show you all the fantastic new equipment we have at ELP. We’re lucky enough to have two brand new Kippax Vacuum Tables along with loads of other new equipment for etching, linocut and risograph.
From 7pm we’ll have print demonstrations from four of our artists at ELP. In the screenprinting room we’ll have experienced artist and illustrator Eliza demonstrating the process of screenprinting. Come and check it out on Thursday at 8pm, you’ll get to pull your own print and take one away with you too!
Susan Vera Clarke ELP tutor and artist Susan will be taking you through the process of etching. Based between London and rural Essex, Susan creates screenprints, etchings, monoprints, lithographs and lino cuts.
At 7pm on Thursday Susan will be taking you through the intalgio process of etching and giving you an insight into the potential of the medium. Etching is a beautiful medium that offers great detail, richness and texture. Come along and see for yourselves! You might be able to walk away with a print too.
