It’s Finally an Audiobook!
I’ve been working on this project all year and it finally got published! My book, How to MMMake A Life You Love is now available on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes to download and listen. Thank you to everyone who purchased the ebook copy! I was overwhelmed with the amount of support I received. I used the royalties from the ebook to hire an amazing voice actress to help me record and produce this audiobook. Please take a moment to check it out, and as always I welcome all feedback!

i have actually been doing stuff in the studio, i swear, but (incoherent rambling) anyway this one’s been on the back burner since last week
i’ve been doing a lot of reworking and mixing. much of the automation i have mapped to the mimu glove is effects, which kind of feels more like playing the effects board than playing an instrument, so i’m trying to go back and basically rewrite project files. but i did say i was going to make like 300 demos for this album and i think this is only about 60th. the end result is getting pretty close to what i was going for, which i guess is like, a narrative… mostly 2min tracks that have unexpected track transitions. figuring out what order to put them in so the mood and key changes from song to song make sense. trying to figure out how exactly to express the album concept, it’s supposed to be like a bait and switch, where you don’t necessarily realize at first that the track titles all have double meanings or perhaps form an encryption key. or perhaps where this becomes more clear over the course of the narrative, as the bait gets switched and the melodies become more obviously steganographic. i think it would be funny to make the track title ARG lead to like, a literal chest of gold. “music piracy” joke. i keep considering releasing the album under a different name but i don’t think this would make any difference, except that at this point my catalogue is so large it’s alienating to new fans (what new fans). oh well, maybe maximalism will be on trend again in the 30s
I’m an empty room
Waiting for someone to
Fill me with love and warmth
amabilia refluit / lovely ebbs
Caught up, delving deep
Lost in the realm of my mind
Hearing those words of yours
In every place, in every space
Over and again in straight lines
How do I express
Everything you represent?
Every word I’ve ever thought about you
Within the confines of my head?
You’re amabilia refluit
And more than just it
And your words, they seem to fit
In every place, in every space
Of the world
That we’re living in
Like my personal favourite adverb
There you were
Like my favourite word
There you were
And I cant describe you
Not with one word
Not with a million
Only without words
And you can’t understand
The meaning behind
Every letter I’ve sent
Cos you’ve never been in my head
And you can never understand
Why to me
You are truly amabilia refluit
- nail-in-the-wall [14.10.19] (Lovely is my favourite way to describe my best friend Ebbs. So that’s why I’ve added “Amabilia Refluit” which means “Lovely Ebbs” in Latin to this poem. I always write a quote/poem the five days after he releases his latest song and tell people to listen to it cos I like him and I like doing it! I genuinely love him and all his music! Anyway, it’s on all the usual streaming places and is called Breathe by Seb. Please have a listen! You’ll love it!
