A bit of sun-baked Australiana for ya.

Well I’m back, I’m shit, I’m busy, and I’ve never been happier to pick-up developed film. My next 35mm City has been long overdue, and I’ve been nursing the new camera for a few months now (it’s already packed for my trip to London if there’s any hints as to how it went). I’ve decided to do these more fully, even more therapeutically. Run a few rolls, get a feel of the beast slightly more, write the experience our a little bit more. Hope it pays off, probably won’t, who knows. As always these will keep be not technical critiques but more a user critique of interfacing with the camera in hand and down the viewfinder.

You’ll see a bunch flowing through from the most recently developed rolls. I’m away in Europe for two weeks coming up so expect more to come leaking through. Also, Sydney Summer has hit with a scorcher, so, you know. More time to blow obligation off.

This time it’s a leadbeater’s possum, or fairy possum. They’re a special little species that’s very, very old – estimated at 20 million years! Their homelands are in the Highlands where I used to hike, and I’m pretty sure I never had the good luck to see one in person. These little beans are critically endangered, and have been presumed extinct a few times before. Here’s hoping they can hold out against logging with the help of conservationists! They’re also the Fauna Emblem of Victoria

Clip Studio’s new timelapse recording feature is really cool! I honestly didn’t expect it to work so well. Only downside is my 100 MB art files are now 2 GB lmao. Gonna need to get more cloud storage or something.

Still working on getting some more designs done and printed but I’ve got a couple of cockatoo keychain designs now. :) I don’t know if they’ll sell but I really like them! Just….satisfying.
