everyone is freaking out over the darkling telling alina his name so soon but what about baghra literally spoiling the biggest plot concerning him by saying “we are morozovas descendants”??? like that made me so angry???

i know there were a lot of sad s&b moments, especially between darklina, but can we talk about baghra and the darkling’s final conversation? when baghra finally comes to terms with the fact that she can do nothing to save her son, to bring back the boy he once was, the boy who “had a name before he had a title”, so she says to him, “know that i loved you. know that it was not enough.”

and then she jumps off the cliff because she couldn’t save aleksander, but she could still save alina.
