With the new Dune film coming out I thought it would be a fun exercise to draw some of the iconic characters as I pictured them reading the book. Heres my vision for the dreaded Baron Harkonnen.
(P.S I know hes into little boys but would rather draw him with some ladies.)
For @omnonim! Some Feyd-Rautha doodles. Kind of general Pointy guy design plus some fun Harkonnen extravagance inspired by more 16th century aesthetic stuff but more cartoony I guess. I liked his vibe of “teen who would just be on his phone during the evil villain bicker session if phones were allowed in this world” in ch2.
For a take on how he’d look in the villeneuveverse of Baldkonnens I doodled some concepts here earlier which was a fun concept.

Still a few days left to submit some art, writing or comics for the new zine! FishSpeakers Dune zine will premire at Shortrun2015!
FishSpeakers is a Science Fiction Fanzine based around Frank Herbert’s Dune and the classic novels. The title comes from the All-female army from God-Emperor of Dune. The goal is to inspire people into the Dune-Universe with Art, Fiction, Articles and Reviews and let people express their passion for the various forms of media that have come out of Dune.
The Cut-Off date for submissions this year will be OCTOBER 11TH.
The book will be printed at 5½” x 8½” (Half-Page size), if you have contributions, be sure to check to make sure your work will look good in that format!
It will be in traditional black and white, so adjust styles accordingly!
