JoysDick is a videogame website dedicated to sex games with reviews, news, forums, cheats, walkthrought, etc.
It’s like IGNorGamespot but for porn games.

you want to know one of the things that pisses me off most about dune? it’s not a valid complaint or problematic or anything. it’s that the litany against fear works and I hate it.
I used to recite the Desiderata in my head when I was a kid at my mom’s insistence but it’s so fucking long and full of compound sentences and the stupid fucking litany just… works better lol. Stop asking me questions during blood donation I’m busy mentally humiliating myself by being a fucking insufferable nerd.
For those who, like me, are unfamiliar with the litany, from the Dune wiki:
“I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.”
I don’t know if it’s worse that Herbert didn’t know about le petit mort or that he did and used it anyway. Snickering is an effective tool against fear though

Denying yourself a functional mental coping technique, for reasons such as cringe in the privacy of your own mind, is an act of self harm.
but letting Frank Herbert give me mental coping mechanism is an indignity I resent
I too have used this for many years and i have never read dune and know nothing about it
I’m looking forward to the official comic and excited to see who they get for it. I’m very proud of what we did for this story, even as little as it was, wish we could do more.
It’s been awhile since I’ve drawn anything DUNE related and realized last night that it’s been almost two years since Miles and I made To Train The Faithful.
So I drew my boy Paul because I missed him. I love how the Stilsuits are ever changing when I come back and draw the. I wish I had more time and would redesign them, would love to make them more organic looking. Also I couldn’t decide on what to have him say soooo yeah.

Wrapped and edited my series of Dune designs based on Frank Herbert’s epic novel. This book really struck me to the core, I loved his psychedelic transcendental ideas in the package of this amazingly thought out distant future. Hope someday to see the right director get a chance to show it for the deep work it is…but who?
With the new Dune film coming out I thought it would be a fun exercise to draw some of the iconic characters as I pictured them reading the book. Heres my vision for the dreaded Baron Harkonnen.
