I’m getting yoga certified 200 RYT next month through scholarship with a program specifically for educators. I graduated from my masters program this time last year. Since then I’ve been teaching acting poetry voice movement and confidence building with OUR youth and other students of color. My goal is to use yoga within my curriculum moving forward for young artist. But I def need some support for materials. Please check out my wishlist and support. I appreciate it.

Over Hundreds of years of Slavery and Jim Crow laws, the one thing we have learned as a people is that we cannot depend on the Democrats, or the Republicans, or the Independents. The one thing that has been constant and consistent during our struggle in this country has been our black sweat, and our hard work, and our determination to change our condition!!!
We have to FIGHT AND BATTLE forces in our communities and outside of our communities. We can not DEPEND ON COLONIZERS, LATINOS, ASIANS or anybody else to HELP US!!! WE HAVE TO TAKE BACK OUR STREETS, WE HAVE TO TAKE BACK OUR NEIGHBORHOODS, WE HAVE TO TAKE BACK OUR COMMUNITIES, WE HAVE TO TAKE BACK OUR CULTURE!!! WITH OUR ANCESTORS AND OUR OWN HANDS….WE CAN DO IT!!!
No more moaning, no more tears. We are not going to ask for Justice, were gonna take our retribution. We are not going to be victims anymore. We can not let this world put out the fire that our ancestors lit that carried us through the darkness. We have to teach our children not to bend or bow down! To claim what our ancestors left! Teach our children to claim their destinies and embrace their power so that they can boldly use it for the benefit of our people. We got a long way to go…but we’ve come so far. Nobody has given us anything. And they’re not gonna give us anything. Every ounce of freedom that we have we had to take!!!
I usually dont make long post but somebody need to hear this:
I see a lot of BLACK people saying that no matter what we should still help “all oppressed people” but have y'all forgotten that we tried that. The hispanics(Latinos), Asians, etc in this country sat back and let us get hosed and beat and hid until the smoke cleared then used the rights we fought for to empower THEMSELVES. Left us for DEAD, AND segregated themselves from us. And STILL do NOT speak a single WORD for us or use a single dollar to empower our businesses, communities, etc. and black people are so kind hearted that we STILL are stopping to wipe their tears with one of our arms blown off, bleeding out on this battlefield. This is real life not a fairy tale some things just sound good but be for real with yourselves. Put them feelings aside and FOCUS. We have children who need a better future. We need to get our people in order before fighting for other people .
Los Angeles Drama Club holds a fundraiser where several celebrities come perform Shakespeare scenes opposite our kids. Max Greenfield (New Girl) has been our hero two years running. This was a scene from Antony & Cleopatra! Next one is in November in L.A. More to come!
