#covid2020

LIVE

@tkwrtrilogy3 will return soon. I had a death in the family. My stepmother passed away (also I got sick; not COVID-19). Many things are returning (and some new things).

-Papá, ayer tuve mi primera mam*da.

-Qué bien, hijo, ¿y cómo estuvo?

-Bien, pero estaba un poco salada.

Siempre corre por tus sueños; aunque no llegues a ellos, por lo menos adelgazas.

Imagine over 700,000 jobs being lost to Covid-19. Imagine, as a result over 9 million people losing their health insurance.

In the middle of an pandemic.

Now imagine 9 million people demanding medicare for all. Not in a put yourself at risk of the virus protesting in the streets kind of way. No, something a bit more civilized.

Imagine Americans using social media as a tool. As a way to amplify their voices. Everyone now uninsured on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitch, Snapchat, Whatsapp, YouTube, TikTok demanding MEDICARE 4 ALL? Not once. But over and over and over and over again. Not for a single day. Not for a week. But months.

What kind of effect would your collective voices have? Imagine finding out.

Imagine doing this as if your life depended on it. And if you’re Black or Latino? Imagine doing this because your life REALLY depended on it.

Because it does.

This is a tough time for many people. At the moment in my country there are
7918 confirmed infections and 314 deaths.

Remember to always make your health a priority.

I want to share with you some less waste tips that may help you these days.

  • Let’s start with masks - they are not difficult to sew at home (or even make without sewing!) and it is obvious that having a reusable one is better than using lots of disposable ones. After use you can disinfect it with boiling water or just put it into laundry ;) I recommend you having a few face masks.
  • Hand sanitizer - the world went crazy about it. Try making it yourself, it is easy! Ingredients:
  1. 12 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol
  2. 5 tablespoons of aloe vera and 3 tablespoons of glycerin which will prevent your skin from drying out and provide extra protection
  3. You can also add some drops of essential oil;)
  • Most of people started to care about cleaning much more due to the pandemic. Using homemade cleaning products is a goal that I still have not achieved yet. If you feel ready to start using them, go for it, look for the recipes (for example on pinterest) and make your own natural cleaning supplies!
  • I know that gloves are required to be worn now, but to be honest I do not believe that using disposable gloves will save us and from my point of view we are just making a huge waste with this plastic or rubber accessories. But…
  • please, wash your hands after touching any questionable surface. It is crucial to keep you and others save.
  • If you are storing food, remember that using aluminium or metal cans is probably a better choice than choosing plastic or glass due to recycling. Of course you can reuse most of packaging. But again, make yourself comfortable and buy what you need to survive.
  • Buy fruit and vegetables that stay fresh for a long time as: apples, potatoes and sweet potatoes, onions, garlic, apples, carrots, celery, lemons, beetroots, cabbages, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower. You can also freeze fruits, I often freeze my bananas ;)
  • Grow your own food and make your own bread, cookies, muesli, pasta etc. ;)

I hope you’re doing great and have everything you need. I wish you good heath! Greetings!

Me: *laughs/cries in disabled*

y’all be posting on your main stories the importance of social distancing and staying inside then blowing up your private with pics of you and your 87 closest friends at a bonfire… do better.

Okay, so update!

I know haven’t been very active as of late.

Don’t worry I’m not dead just lazy. So I apologize to my newer followers who haven’t been getting anything.

The thing is, so much has been going on.

My mom works in a nursing home that has been crawling with COVID. Thursday, we found out she tested positive. It was inevitable but it still had us shook because she doesn’t have any symptoms.

Yesterday, me and my aunt (because we both live with my mom) had to get tested. Thankfully, we came up negative but we had to come live with my grandma for two weeks & quarantine.

It’s been rough. I miss my mom and I can’t go to work.

So bear with me. I’m stressed, worried, and everything else. I’ll try to post new memes if I get any ideas.

Does anyone else feel like March 2020 was ten years ago

I don’t understand the great mask debate. No shoes. No shirt. No service. We all know that rule. You’re already required to wear things to protect yourself and others when you go into stores. What’s the problem with wearing another 16 square inches of cloth?

No shoes. No shirt. No mask. No service.

hey 2020, could you at least have taken the world out to dinner before you decided to fuck us over?

miss-bluejay:

You gonna be okay, aren’t you?

Dark times going through but we proved ourselves that we’re strong, we gonna survive even if it’s mom nature’s warning… Just look and see, how much we stay at home, cleaner the Earth gets. We are the trash of the world.

Si tan sólo los chinitos pudieran abrir los ojos y ver el desmadre que hicieron.

Look man, there are only so many things I can accept about myself in this panoramic and a p*ss kink ain’t one of them.

I think most people, including myself most of the time, have already forgotten the situation we are right now. Like as in Europe everything is getting better we think the problem is solved everywhere, but then reality comes back and you realized that it is not that simple.

1st week in forced isolation due to permanent WFH requirements

Honestly, I’m struggling.

Being in forced isolation is hard.  Prior to the pandemic, I never really was able to hang out with my friends because I would always get turned down.  I was the only one ever planning anything, but of course they have their own friends and their own lives.  I’m not a priority in their lives, and that’s okay.  However, the only human interaction I had was at work.  Now that we all have to work from home, I feel like I am cut off from the rest of the world.

I am lonely.  I try to chat with others during the day but I don’t want to be distracting while they are also working from home.  I’ve asked if they would like to have Zoom/Skype sessions like everyone else is doing but they all decline.

I am struggling.  The boredom kills me.  I don’t have any hobbies I genuinely enjoy, there’s only so much Netflix I can watch.  I don’t have any energy to even leave the house to go for a walk, despite not actually doing anything.  It feels like a kind of depression without the obvious sadness.  That is something I know I need to sort out.

I am an introverted extrovert.  I need my down time to recharge, but I can’t be alone for days on end with no human contact. This pandemic is destroying my mental health but I know by me staying home it is giving everyone else a fighting chance.

Hey. Just want to remind you all. You will be playing a major part in this moment in human history. #socialdistancing is 100% REAL! We are at the tipping point at the moment where lives are at stake both: economic and your own. If you wish for your lives to return to a more normal “state” please be considerate and practice social distancing and self isolation. Why I’m saying this? If you’re “bored” at home and go to Wal-Mart to browse around you are literally going against everything, Hanging out with groups also. You will trigger a “lock down” and cause more stress for yourself and everyone also financially too. The Mormon missionarie’s families who flocked the SLC airport when they were advised to stay in the car, only 2 people go in. Potentially caused a mass outbreak spreading it to different counties faster then if they listen to the guidelines placed. Being careless now has a high potential of getting your:friends, family and neighbors sick, critical condition or dead. Hospitals right now also cannot take a mass influx of patients. Doctors will need to make a choice of treating the Covid-19 patient or the person in critical condition from a car accident. Trust me, also overworked 16 hour shifts are the new “norm”. I work with the high risk the people who will die if they catch this disease. Remember you may recover, they will NOT. You get healthcare workers sick, they cannot treat you or your loved one. Remember that as well. Right now it’s a matter of slowing doen, it’s here and it will stay. We all need to play a part right now. Follow the guidelines placed by your county, or government, CDC/WHO, turn off major cable news networks for info. They’re causing more problems with fear. Wash your hands as advised by the CDC, don’t touch your face, 6ft apart, keep trips short, if you need to work use extra caution, cover your mouth, take your body temp. Look for signs of the disease, if sick, isolate contact your doctor before rushing to the hospital. You may very well have the normal flu, why a flu shot is smart right now. Covid-19 is the REAL deal.w

Btw, 16 hour shifts here I come

Quarantine update:

Went to the grocery store today and I saw cans of whip cream and boxes of strawberries placed right next to eachother.

That can’t be a coincidence right???

Ever since this Covid thing started my sex drive has skyrocketed. Fuck, Now it’s like every time I insert a tampon I moan a little.

Send help.
