#blog anniversary
So! I have a few little things to be celebrating, especially with this blog, and I wanted to share them around!
First of all, thank you so much to those who follow me as i just hit 460 followers! That’s an insane number, and I appreciate all of you! Especially those who leave neato notes in the tags of my work or
But there’s a few other things I want to celebrate too. My birthday is just around the corner this coming monday on star wars day XD and I started this blog just after my last birthday!! So we have the 1yr anniversary of my blog too!! ALSO I am almost at 1000 posts on this blog, most of which is other people’s amazing stories, tropes and prompts!
I wanted to do something special, and since I don’t know what kind of things people would want to see since I have a bunch of stuff that I am behind on, and I’m not confident enough in my art skills to make a celebration out of it, I have decided to hold a little giveaway!
I want to make this very special, and the giveaway prizes will be an art commission by the amazing @albino-whumpee!!! There will be 2 prizes from this givaway:
- One person shall recieve a flat colour half-body of 1 character of their choice.
- And one other person shall recieve a half body black and white sketch of 1 character of their choice.
I shall be honest and say that I have never done something like this before, but here is how you enter the giveaway!
- First, you must be following me.
- Second, you must reblog this post. If your main account is different from your whump/writing account, please write in the tags what your main account is. Likes won’t count, I’m afraid.
- As an optional extra, if you write whump and have it posted, feel free to reblog with a link to your favourite piece of work that you’ve written and I’ll read it and reblog it! I have a lot to owe to the whump community and after my semi-hiatus, I admit that I have fallen behind and I would like to read some whump that I might have missed!
- The closing date for this giveaway is 9pm GMTonSunday May 3rd 2020.

Time sure flies! Today marks one year since we started the list in 2016.
We never expected this blog to grow so much when we made it initially. We’re extremely thankful for the overwhelming support that the community has provided us over the course of the year! The list wouldn’t thrive without your contributions and feedback.

It has been exactly 1 year since I started this blog. By now I have over 750 posts and 10,000 followers. That’s about 2 posts per day and 27 new followers every single day! That’s crazy! I want to thank you for staying with me, everyone who has been there from the beginning and also new people. Even though I do like to think of this blog as just things that I like, in all honesty, I really do appreciate every single one of you. 
I don’t think I’ll be changing anything dramatically this year. However, if you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know. I don’t know what else to write so I’ll just wrap it up.

Fvck Yeah Hot Anime Boys turned one year old today, yay!!!
OMG I can’t believe I totally forgot about this. :’( Good thing I checked my e-mails today hihi :) Anyway, I just wanna say thank you so much to all my followers especially to the ones that’s always been there since the beginning, never unfollowed, and waited patiently for my replies (and are still waiting). I’m not gonna lie and say I know all of you cause I don’t and I’m not like that. Instead I’m saying I know most of you and love all of you. In fact, I’m following you (BTW, if you see aramacata in your followers list that’s me). Also, I’m so sorry for not being active on this blog for my studies are (sort of) my priorities (cause usually sometimes I’m just too lazy to do anything :/ ). I can’t promise when I’ll be posting stuff here again as of the moment; so don’t expect anything, okay? THANKS AGAIN! xx.
Wow, a whole year.
It’s my blog’s 1st birthday (well I’m actually a few hours late.)
I actually wanted to redraw my very first post, but I’m swamped with a bunch of things so I decided to settle for a sketch of bartender Lapis. Thanks for following my blog; I hope you decide to continue to be patient with me as I try to figure out art and life.
Note to selves:
Well, past-self, a whole lot has happened since you made this blog. The great hiatus of 2017 did end eventually after half a year. I’ve kind of forgotten how it felt when you initially found the show that summer, but I can say with certainty that the show still takes you on an emotional roller-coaster every single episode. The art that you decided to post actually brought you together with a lot of wonderful people. You join a really awesome project called The Beach City Witch Project and you make a bunch of great friends. You even get out of your shell just a bit and meet one of them in real life. You still don’t know what you’re doing after a whole year, but you’re making little improvements along the way. This is your 124th post and you have over 360 followers. Isn’t that crazy? I bet you never thought any of this would ever happen, but it did because you decided to act and draw and post and expose yourself. I won’t lie, you do have some really rough hurdles that you’re going to have to jump over in the coming future, but you do get through them. You’re going to feel crummy. When you do, reach out to the people that care about you. Don’t bottle things up. Yeah, they might not get it completely, but they love you. People are going to come and go in your life. Make sure you let the ones you love know that you love them. Even if you have the chance to say goodbye, you won’t want to. I wonder, past- self, where did you see yourself after a year?
Dear future-self,
How are you? Have you gotten any better at art? Has a lot changed over the year? Did you finally get to see Lapis and Peridot again? Do you still make art? You probably still like Steven Universe, right? Have you gotten to finish any of the things you wanted to or have you piled up even more projects? How did the episode turn out? Is the server still going? How was the fall semester? Do you still remember to tell people how important they are to you? Are you taking care of yourself? Did you ever pluck up the courage to try anything new? Did you ever figure anything out? Did you ever fall in love? Haha, you probably won’t want to answer that question, but I hope you’re doing well. Please don’t forget to be kind to yourself. I’ll try doing my best now so that you’ll be able to answer these questions with responses that you’re satisfied with. If things don’t work out, I hope that you have the strength and courage to keep going. I wish I could write something more encouraging for you, but I’m not sure what I should say. Just… Thanks for still being here if you’re reading this a year from now.

It seems as though we’ve reached one year of awkward blogging!
I do want to apologize for the lack of content, there just really hasn’t been much to work with. However with Boom up on the horizon there should be lots to look forward to and I hope you stick around to see!

How was your 2020?
Past year had been a challenging year for me even without COVID-19 situation. I sometimes wish if I had more time and energy to live my life the way I wanted to. But oh well, I guess I should believe these difficulties will boost me to a better person.
