Why I Wear Sweaters 24/7

Ppl: omg it’s like 80 degrees outside aren’t you hot in that!?

Me: perhaps temporarily but everywhere i go that’s indoors is blasting the air-conditioning and i get cold really quick.

Ppl: it’s not THAT cold inside

My anemic ass:… ok sure….

So basically this is something that I’ve always been picked on about by pretty much everyone in my family or even complete strangers (with the exception of my SO because they are amazing and dgaf what i wear). I worked on a cruise ship for a while and i ALWAYS wore sweaters or a hoodie…. In the Caribbean. I looked insane, sure, but i don’t get that hot like…. Ever. I’d rather look crazy but be comfortable and not shivering everywhere i go. And sweaters are cute af.

Idk if anyone else has had this happen to them but i figured I’d share cause perhaps i might find my perpetually cold twin lol.

Empiezas a entender un poco de la vida cuando son entre las ocho y las nueve de la noche y ves por la ventana, la lluvia caer. Recuerdas que hay cosas que no podemos controlar, como las tormentas repentinas que se arman en nuestro ser. Ves la gente caminar apresurada, quizá esperando llegar rápido a sus casas. Al caer la noche algunos van a sus camas sin siquiera mirar a quienes los rodean y otros no paran de observar la inmensidad de su habitación queriendo un día poderla compartir con alguien. Pero hay otro grupo, que la gente llama “minorías” pero realmente son “mayorías”. Ese grupo que no llega a su casa, quizá porque no la tiene y se refugia en el frío de la calle o quizá porque un poco de dinero o un simple celular valía su vida entera. Entonces te preguntas, ¿realmente vale la pena esperar a mañana para vivir tu momento o es mejor hacer tuyo cada momento por si ya no existiera un mañana?
