I guess that touya was some sort of backup plan for afo in case shigaraki doesn’t work
I still wonder how he ended up on the streets though it didn’t fell like the doc and afo knew dabi too me(then again the doc was very enthusiastic about dabi during mva.Perhaps he wanted Afo to pick him instead of shiggy?)

anyways if the goal of this arc is truly to save the villains then it makes sense for dabi vs shoto to not be over yet. It’s one thing to want to save someone and another to actually pull through with it because you also have to consider: do they WANT to be saved?
Sure shoto can defeat him, they can detain him and lock him up somewhere were he won’t harm himself but what’s the point if he starts kicking and screaming once he wakes up?
You can’t force someone to get better.
Dabi so far has had very little monolog about himself. As he was to remain “mysterious” up until his reveal that makes sense. However even the monolog after his reveal is limited to the past and his desire for revenge. He doesn’t believe he has a future so why would he think about that?
Anyways I’m so happy the new chapter points towards the fight not being over yet. Last chapter was nice and all but as I said, dabi has to want to be saved. A chapter from his perspective acknowledging that he can have a future would ultimately be the best closure
-shoto defeated dabi but the the text leaks talk about a luminous sphere(?) on his chest so not over yet?
-dabi rejected afo’s offer for an extra quirk unlike spinner who accepted it in the flashback
-spinner seems to be fighting, having received a quirk that makes him large like Mt. lady
-chapter ends with endeavor vs afo with afo questioning him(?) on whether letting shoto fight dabi was a good idea and turning his hand into weird stuff
(additionally the chapters name is endeavor but no idea as to why, he’s not really the focus of it)
I think it’s a little suspicious that the fight is already over despite the other fights barely having started yet so will dabi pull any tricks out of his sleeve?
(I still hope for a possible phoenix transformation with dabi fighting shoto as this giant burning monster it would be so cool visually)
Anyways I hope the fight isn’t really over yet as I think it should end with dabi acknowledging Shoto’s words
Dabi’s biggest problem is that he’s stuck on the past and Endeavor. He cannot move on from what happened hence why he is part of the story as a very self-destructive villain.Having the fight continue and end with touya acknowledging what shoto is telling him,that he can have a different live, that he doesn’t have to die doing this if he just let’s go of all that unhealthy obsession and hate he careies with him is infinitely better then like putting him in some institution and wait for that to happen eventually. You can’t force that to happen and I hardly think horikoshi will give us the time to explore that in later chapters. (He’s obviously burned out from mha and looks foward to ending it as soon as possible if a y major development is gonna happen for the villains it gotta be now)
