Thunder clapped outside your apartment window as rain cascaded down to the ground. You were curled up on your couch, sipping some wine and eating some home-made burritos. It was your day off and you wanted to relax on your balcony but it got too rainy. 

You hadn’t heard much from your on again, off again boyfriend Dabi. You knew he was going to be busy with some “work” so you let him go about his day. You were happier with a burrito anyway. 

It was getting close to sundown when you heard a knock on the balcony door of your apartment. When you looked over it was sure enough there was Dabi, standing there, getting soaked from the rain. 

  “Dabi?” You asked.

  “Who else would it be?” He asked plainly. 

You rolled your eyes and got up from the couch, you pulled your sweater closer to your body as you opened the back door, letting the cold air in. 

  “What are you doing here?” You asked as he passed you to go inside and kick off his shoes.

  “Hate the rain, I’ve got no where else to go.” 

  “I thought you were busy with a mission?” You asked as you crossed your arms and watched him enter the apartment and sit on the couch. 

  “Ended early, didn’t want to spend the rain alone.” He remarked. 

  “Aw is someone afraid of a little thunder?” You asked mockingly as you went to sit back down beside him and finish up the rest of the burrito. Dabi draped an arm over your shoulders and started watching television. 

  “Aw gross, dude. You’re wet.”

  “Well yeah, it’s raining out.”

  “Get off my couch, idiot!” You yelped as you got up and looked at him. He rolled his eyes and got up as well. He took off his wet jacket along with his wet shirt underneath. 

He stood there, his scarred chest exposed with his hand wrapped into the fabric of his shirt. 

  “Got a dryer?” He asked. 

  “I’ll dry it later.” You said as you took both items and brought it to your bathroom to dry in the shower. He followed close behind you with his pants in tow, his underwear still on thankfully. 

  “You got some clothes or am I just going to sit here naked?” He asked. 

You rolled your eyes, “I have some old clothes from an ex boyfriend, is that okay?”

  “You kept clothes from your ex?” Dabi asked, a hint of jealousy in his voice. He crossed his arms and looked at you. 

  “Oh please.” You said as you rolled your eyes, “I have some of your clothes too.” You hung up the pants as well before exiting the bathroom. 

  “You wound me, little flame.” He remarked as he entered the bedroom with you. You tried not to look at his almost nude form. Tonight was supposed to be about you, with your wine and burrito. 

And Dabi had to ruin that.

You shoved some extra clothes into his arms. Most of it belonged to him and what he left behind on the other occasions he visited. It included a tank top and sweatpants. He slipped them on and stretched his arms above his head. 

His exposed part of his lean stomach as he stretched his arms above his head. He exhaled a little and asked, “What’s for dinner?”

  “I have a burrito for myself, but I have wine if you want some.” You said as he followed you back to the couch. 

Rain hit the window of your balcony in heavy drops. You poured Dabi a glass of wine and you two went back to the couch. He dropped down, letting the comfiness of couch taking him over. You could only imagine what he has been doing since he got back from his mission, probably eating instant ramen and sleeping.

And you knew the mattress in his shit hole of an apartment wasn’t very comfortable. 

He took a couple of sips of his wine and put the glass down on the table. He looked over to you and smiled a little.

  “I missed you.” He said. 

  “You missed the wine I bought.” You chuckled.

He leaned in for a kiss and pressed it against your soft lips. He wrapped an arm around you and kissed you further. He liked kissing you, it wasn’t like kissing anyone else. Wasn’t like he had people lining up to get with him. 

He drank more of his wine, draining the glass then getting up to get some more.

You remarked, “You’re buying me another bottle of wine.” 

  “Whatever.” He said.

You both continued to drink, your vision became hazy with the wine. You kept kissing Dabi, you almost missed him with how long he had been gone. You missed your time with him, how much trouble you two caused together.

Your relationship wasn’t perfect, but a small part of you missed him when he was gone. 

You looked at him and leaned in for a kiss, he tasted like wine and you were hooked. His hands felt up the bottom of your shirt. His kisses were hot and heavy, he missed you.

  “Want to take this somewhere else?” He asked.

 “Where could we possibly go?” You asked sarcastically. 

He got into your personal space and replied, “Your bedroom, where I can fuck you until you’re nothing but a pile of scum at the bottom of my boot.” 

  “Then lead the way, Dabi.” You smirked as you got up from the couch. 

So y’all know the concept that Dabi has ladder piercings on his O_O?

I am obsessed with that. In real life it would probably freak me out but for some reason that shit suits Dabi so much like bruh.

Why Magne is NOT transphobic.

Before y'all say “But Ross, you aren’t trans. You can’t speak on this?” No, I’m not. But I have done much research on this topic and asked transgender friends about this.

Oh y'all wanted a twist ay? Come on MHA fandom, lets get controversial!

So! Some of y'all may know that I love Magne. I do. She’s my best girl. And if you’ve forgotten who Magne was, here:

Anyway, many people who are fans of the show are angry at the portrayal of her. Magne is a transgender woman. Which is cool!

Fans argue that she is too masculine for a woman which kind of is fucked up?

By saying Magne is too masculine is perpetuating the stereotype that women have to be feminine and the transphobic stereotype that transgender women have to be overly feminine. She may not be feminine in her looks, but she is feminine in the way she acts, the things she does, and what she says. Be it, her calling people “sugar” and other like names, or holding her hands up when she’s frustrated. Her mannerisms are like those shown by cisgender women and feminine people.

Another thing that I don’t see many people talk about is where she is at with her transition. I notice that many people only accept a transgender woman after she has started hormones, gotten surgery, etc. In Japan, being transgender is not accept anywhere near as much as it is in countries like the UK or the USA. On television and in media, transwomen and drag queens are just big stereotypical caricatures. They are seen just as comedic value. It’s harder to transition in Japan. And being a villain, she would have very little money. It can cost thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars to transition. (I headcannon that’s why she robbed a bank). She wouldn’t be able to do a lot of the things that other transwomen do because she is a wanted criminal.

Magne, I presume, is older. I say around 32/35. (But you can have your own headcannons.) The life expectancy of a transwoman, especially a transwoman of colour is low. A lot lower than that of a ciswoman. Perhaps Magne put off her transition for fear of this statistic. Which is very likely and a common occurrence of transgender people in countries like Japan.

And someone tried to argue with me over Instagram that Asian people weren’t POC. Shut up?

The other transgender character in the show is Tiger, the male Pussycat. Here’s him if you forgot who he was:

The misconception about Tiger is that he is a transgender woman as well. Which is not true and actually the opposite. Horikoshi writes on his character page:

“Formerly female, then he took the trip to Thailand.”

Which is rad! Not only do we have transgender characters, we also have two ends of the same spectrum. A woman, and a man.

This also brings up the point that Tiger had to have faced discrimination while transitioning. Even in a big city where there are probably some accepting people, there are more unaccepting.

However, Tiger took that negativity and all that hate and became a hero. Because that’s what he wanted to do was help people. Even though they didn’t accept him and pushed him away, he still knew that he was a hero.

Magne went the opposite direction. She took the hatred and negativity and turned to villainy. The world had hurt her, so she wanted to hurt it back. It’s heavily hinted that Magne only has one or two people that she feels close to and trusts.

It’s so interesting to see two characters take a similar situation and turn it into something so different.

But back to Magne.

The league accepts her. She isn’t misgendered while in their group by anyone. In fact after her…unfortunate battle with Overhaul, Twice comes to her defense. Chisaki refers to Magne as “him” and Twice is immediately on him.

“It’s her, not he! Bastard! That’s the secound time you’ve done that!”

(Something along those lines. I couldn’t find the exact panel.)

So the League knows and they don’t care. They just love their big sis.

!!! Something I forgot to mention, the league members, most notably, Spinner, refer to her as Magu-nee. Which the honorific -nee means big sister. Cute! !!!
