For the final day of our campaign, we will be hosting a 24-HOUR LIVESTREAM. Yep, you read that right. 24-hours. Of us. On camera. On the internet. Thank you to everyone who contributed this past weekend to make our Dollar4Dollar Rush a HUGE SUCCESS! We received 63 new pledges totaling $2,056.00 in 3 days. And our generous anonymous donor has promised to matched that amount before the campaign is over.
We are nearing the end. We are approaching the FINAL 72 HOURS. Our campaign MUST end on Thursday, August 16, at 10:00 AM PST. And here’s what needs to happen (at the time of writing this update):
We need $7,624 to be Greenlit. Seed & Spark requires us to reach at least 80% of our goal or else we receive zero funding.
We need $14,624 to be fully funded. Although we are fully prepared to finish shooting our pilot episode in the event that we only make 80% of our goal, this is the ideal amount to cover our production budget and the campaign costs.
We need 64 more followers in order to unlock the next level of filmmaker perks, which include equipment rental discounts and professional consultations.

The rough cut is complete, and we are currently planning and prepping for the rest of post-production. We anticipate one day of pick-ups, and the remainder of post includes things like CGI/visual FX, color correction, ADR and sound design, and music. In order to fund post-production, we have spent most of 2019 applying to filmmaking grants and finishing funds. Most of these opportunities are tedious processes, often not announcing their finalists and winners for many months. But we are optimistic and doing as much prep and post as we can do on our own while we continue looking for financing.
In the meantime, we are going to begin distributing some of the hard-copy perks from our crowdfunding campaign starting in the next few weeks. So if you are expecting a One-Sheet, Character Portraits, and/or Autographed Script Pages keep a look-out in your inbox for instructions that will help us get those to you. Larger perks such as the Behind-the-Scenes Featurette, Digital Portfolio, and Producers’ Books require us to finish post-production first, so those will be distributed at a later date.

In our most recent update at www.journeytotheannex.com, our lead actors Briggon Snow and Julia Morizawa go to their first official fitting with costume designer Kumie Asai. The core team continues pre-production based on our shiny new script, while director Cate Carson is getting the whole show together with all our department heads and key producer J. Everley is busy magically stretching our budget as far as it’ll go.
Our lead actors, Briggon SnowandJulia Morizawa, have both been nominated for multiple Audio Verse Awards for their performances in the audio drama podcasts “The Bright Sessions,” and “The Big Loop.” Briggon was also nominated for his work in “My Neighbors are Dead.”
