Not trusting that your peers have your best interests in mind when it comes to selecting an activity that won’t cause you stress and anxiety because of your hearing, while dealing with the backlash as you are accused of not having enough faith in others, when, ironically, you’ve had to explain to those same people many times why you don’t answer the phone or why you’re over the loud, crowded bar scene or why that guy’s looking at you funny because of your accent.
And then they proceed to tell you that it’s all in your head.
I’m not fucking dealing with this in 2018. Get out of my face with my shit.
Sometimes it’s best to unfollow and cut ties off with those whose posts and lifestyle have no significance to your own. It’s a buzzkill when someone who shares the same likes and ideals doesn’t acknowledge you with even a “thank you”, let alone any kind of light-hearted reply. Even being responded to with one-worded replies like “yeah”, “okay”, “cool”, “gotcha” and so forth is lame as hell. To some, you are just another number on their social media followers list, and you aren’t seen as their equal enough to converse with. They aren’t worth the fuss or follow, so cut them off and leave their asses in the dust.
Somebody said it’s racist that I said I don’t particularly like white people and all I can say is: Considering everything white people have done and been complicit in regarding POC across the globe…saying I don’t like yall is the tip of the iceberg of my feelings for y’all. What I really think would have you calling me worst names
