Her focus drifted from the flashing lights of the press, their cacophony of questions and pleas for attention a distant roar. Her gaze fell on him. Thomas Hunt. Her husband. Her face brightened as he met her glance. It wouldn’t matter how many red carpet events they attended; butterflies still fluttered in her stomach every time. 

“Should I be worried?” He questioned, his expression stoic, never changing.

“Hmm?” Her eyes widened as her lips curled upward mischievously. 

“I know that look—” His thumb caressed soothing circles on her lower back as they posed for another photographer. 

“Do you, now?”

“It typically means trouble.”

“Trouble? Me?” She whispered, feigning innocence as she leaned a little closer. 

“Always.”

“I was just thinking; you could give them a smile.”

“No.”

“But, your smile is my favorite,” she mused as they continued drifting down the carpet a couple of feet at a time. 

“Hence why I reserve them solely for you." 

"I don’t mind sharing.”

“I do.”

“I bet I can make you smile right now.”

“You sound quite confident.”

“I have my ways." 

"And, I have decades of perfecting my unwavering ability to ignore the press and remain impassive.”

“But, I’ve perfected the art of loving Thomas Hunt you,” she teased, placing a tender kiss on his jaw below his ear, the coarse hair of his beard tickling her lips pleasantly.

His lip twitched slightly for a single second. His dark eyes narrowed steadfastly in concentration at the lenses capturing their every move just beyond the velvet ropes. 

Alex chewed the corner of her lip to stop her growing grin. She reached for his jaw, cradling it softly in her hand as she turned his face toward hers. She brushed a kiss on his forehead and then either cheek. 

“Alex!” His cheeks warmed under her attention.

“Yes,” she giggled as she began to pepper his face in tender kisses. 

“Alex, there are people.”

“Yes—” She turned toward the press for a moment, all eagerly pushing one another to capture their rare PDA. “—yes, there are.” She continued painting light kisses on his face. “I can do this all day.”

“You’re relentless.”

“You love it.”

“I love you,” he countered, his brow quirking upward.

“Is there a difference?”

His lips pressed together, a subtle grin gracing his face as he brushed a kiss to her temple, stopping her flurry of kisses. “No. I love all of you, even the parts that challenge me.”

“Good, because I love all of you too.” Her gaze filled with adoration as her smile spread at the sight of his. She stopped herself from announcing her mission accomplished. Seeing him smile for her was its own reward. She knew it wasn’t for the press. It wasn’t for his fans. It wasn’t for him. It was for her and only her. He could have resisted. He could have pulled away. He could have asked her to stop. But he didn’t. He indulged her because he loved her, and she knew he’d do anything for her, even smile. “Just look at me,” she nodded reassuringly, holding his gaze. “Ignore them. They don’t matter. It’s just us. Me and you. No one else. Just us.”

The skin around his eyes wrinkled as his gaze remained locked with hers. “You’re all I ever see.”

Sometimes Alex can’t help herself. I mean really, how could you not just want to pepper Hunt’s face in soft kisses. Have you seen him? She really is restraining herself most of the time. It’s not easy! hehe

I’m finally playing “Baby Bump” and I need to ask….. why did all of y’all just sleep on the fact that Cassandra literally sexually assaulted Clint? Like…. I feel like there should be more outrage on the fact that Cassandra SAed a love interest after he repeatedly told her no. I feel low key pissed because Pixelberry always puts a disclaimer in the beginning when female characters are sexually assaulted or harassed in a chapter, but when a male love interest is, neither the writers or the fandom give a damn.

I HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW THESE FIFTEEN BOOKS ARE CONNECTED AND IN THE SAME UNIVERSE

So starting with “Veil of Secrets”, “The Freshman”, “The Haunting of Braidwood Manor”, “Sun kissed” and “The Elementalists”. We know these books are in the same universe because they all have characters that have attended or are currently attending Hartfeld University. Your Main Character in “The Haunting of Braidwood Manor” attends Hartfeld and your Main character as well as Kate O’Malley from “Veil of secrets”. We also see a Hartfeld flag in Alexis’s room in “Sunkissed” and towards the beginning of “The Elementalists” your Main Character was enrolled as well.

“America’s Most Eligible” is in the same universe as those five books because Kaitlyn shows up in a chapter.

We know “The Freshman” is in the same universe as “The Rules of Engagement” because Tripp and Madison consistently show up in the back ground. And we know for sure that they’re connected to “Most Wanted” because if you pay for a diamond scene, you run into Nikhil and the rest of the police crew in LA while looking for Audrey.

Meaning “Hero” is also set in this Universe because the Antagonist mentions going to La Huerta with his wife.

Also, the most obvious connection that I missed, Leo is in “The Royal Romance” and “Rules of Engagement”, so those are connected.

I also found Kenna’s photo from “Crown and Flame” in the dining room at the palace in “The Royal Romance”. Meaning the events from “The Crown and Flame” were probably all real historical events from Cordonia’s history.

1. Sunkissed is actually a great book if you look at it as a study in the aftermath of grief instead of a fluffy romance.

2. I really liked having a daily book and I hope they do it again (and I liked the MTFL MC)

3. Single LI books are fine and allow PB to tell stories that don’t work well with multiple LI books and in the past, when they have tried those stories with multiple LIs it has always ended up with a favored LI and other LIs getting crumbs. There are several old books that would have worked great as single LI books.

4. Save the Date is also underrated. It is actually really funny and cute and the MC shows real growth and development and the Justin romance is excellent.

Controversial opinions: Choices fandom edition

1. That side character you got attached to was never meant to be an LI. It’s okay to yearn, but PB is not depriving you of a romance you invented yourself

2. A lot of converted Poppy antis talk about her classism but conveniently ignore that they were perfectly okay with overlooking it and simping after her anyway up until she did more fucked up stuff later on when they diss her now

3. Many of the loudest Distant Shores 2 campaigners (who kept spamming PB with demands for the sequel and refusing to take no for an answer) spent most of the book’s runtime talking about how boring it was week after week and only changed their minds when it was too late

4. If an LI is from a goc book, your gay/straight “headcanons” are erasure, even when PB contributes to the erasure in the books

Bonus: I have to say it, I have to say it…… the goth chains outfit from ILitW is one of the tackiest motherfucking looks in this app (both for m and f MC, but particularly f!MC’s)

Controversial Opinions: My Asks Are Open

1. Dr Ethan J. Ramsey is in NO WAY a dom in bdsm. People always think the gruff boss man would be a dom in bed- NO!! He exerts so much control in his job, bossing people around and having to use his brain all the time. That’s tiring!! Most people in that position would rather have a break from that, especially when sex is a way for them to relax. Sub!Ethan !!!!!

(Bonus: Dom/Sub is not the same as Top/Bottom)

2. Book 2 and 3 should’ve been about Bryce’s and Jackie’s family situations respectively, instead of continuing retconning Ethan’s parent story arc. We’ve already established Ethan’s father figure is Naveen! Ok!!! Now let’s focus on anything BUT Ethan’s family. Not to put down Ethan’s family situation, but Bryce & Jackie’s >>> Ethan’s as plots to follow, especially once bk1 was done.

3. Kyra shouldve been the one to die, not Danny. HEAR ME OUT. Kyra’s story arc in bk1 was her coming to terms with her mortality, and making the best of her life and living it to the fullest. If she had passed in bk2, it would be a satisfying closure to her story arc. She is already prepared for death, she knows her time is limited, cancer or not. Danny’s death is random and out of the blue, and I know its supposed to be realistic and death doesnt discriminate, but this is a fictional story, and deaths should have a purpose other than just being shocking.

Controversial Opinions

1. Mason Jennings is an outstanding character. Noah stans who hate on Mason are for the most part super hypocritical. A lot of the complaints I see about Mason’s actions, Noah does too if you take Mason’s route. All of the things Noah gets praised for as a love interest Mason also does if you take his route instead. Mason helped MC when her mom died, he was the first to encourage us to follow our dreams as a photographer, he asked the recruiter to give the scholarship to Noah, he forgave Noah even though he broke into his house and drove him to the hospital. He gets so much unnecessary hate for being privileged.

2. “The Nanny Affair” MC is the most badass feminist character ever. She had the workload of a single mom and works in a STEM field almost completely dominated by men. She doesn’t even cheat if you don’t make her, and whether she does or doesn’t, she still chooses to give up the love of her life to give Mason and Mickey a bright future. Even if she did cheat, it was obvious that she and Sam were much happier together; Sam was literally forced into Sofia’s marriage. Like, people can understand why the “Desire and Decorum” MC cheated on the Duke even though she was engaged. Why is Sam any different?

3. Poppy Min-Sinclair is an absolute scumbag. People who want to romance Poppy have implicitly shown that classism and racism in a partner isn’t a deal breaker for them.

4. A majority of the WLW in the choices fandom are biphobic. All the complaints I’ve seen from WLW complaining about lack of representation from PB all ignore the fact that a majority of the male love interest they’re complaining about are actually bisexual. As a trans Pansexual person, I think options for MLM are plentiful, so when you say “there’s not enough gay representation”, you’re wrong. What you mean to say is, “There’s not enough WLW representation”. Which is a completely different issue.

PB pARTy 2021, Prompt 22: Outfit I’d Want in Real Life

Yes, I know October is over. But the art prompts that Pixelberry provided are still really inspiring so I’ll still be doing them. This way I can actually have fun while making them and make them to the best of my ability.

Anyways, this outfit is from “Bachlorette Party”. And as a non binary person, I think this androgynous outfit looks bomb dot com. All the outfits in that book were incredible. My second favorite was the blue one with the plunging neckline.

I was thinking about drawing the mc from “Witness: a body guard romance” for this one. Because, let’s face it, no matter how much we hate that book, the MC looks fucking sexy with bleached hair and red lipstick. But, pink hair and gender neutral Vegas beats it out.
