Recreation of Queen Elizabeth I - the rainbow portrait. Queen E’s portraits were always highly filled with symbolism, and so is my reimagining. Spot some of the theatre and pop culture symbols among other symbols!

ALTMy piece for Classics but make it gay, Vol. 2! Really have been lucky to have been part of this again~
This piece is based off Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh’s Queen of Hearts, with the figures switched for the real gay and trans inspirations in my life. A bit more personal to me in a very physical sense—not my usual type of work, but really happy how this turned out :]
