Plant of the Day
Wednesday 4 May 2022
Recently in London I spotted this white cloud of Clematis montanavar.grandiflora (white anemone clematis) flowers. This is a vigorous large deciduous climber and will clamber over adjacent shrubs and trees attaching by means of a twisted petiole (leaf stalk).

WENT BOULDERING!!!!!!
Probably won’t be able to move my arms tomorrow.
Oh my DOMS. I was correct in thinking that my arms would be dead today.
Didn’t elaborate much on yesterday’s session but the plan was to go with the boyfriend but he ended up having to stay at home so I went on my own. I did actually start walking to another wall to use the auto belays as bouldering on my own makes me quite anxious but I pass this place on the way there so I womaned up and went.
It was hella busy which didn’t help much, stayed well within my comfort zone though and did the easiest climbs, just did a lot of them, hence the sore arms! Most of them were green, which as you can see from the picture, are very ladder like This is what happens when you’re terrified of falling and so used to being roped in.
I certainly felt a lot less anxious in there than last time I went on my own so that’s an improvement and gives me hope that this might be something I could eventually get over!
