Gleich vier Unfälle mit insgesamt 13 Fahrzeugen - inklusive eines Streifenwagens der Polizei - verursachte ein Nackter in Darwin / Australien weil er auf der Straße tanzte.
Ist so ein Anblick denn wirklich so verstörend?

In celebration of #DarwinDay we went into our archives and dug out these pages from ‘The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals’.
This was Charles Darwin’s third major work on evolutionary theory and laid out his early ideas about behavioural genetics.
It explored emotions in animals and humans and attempted to work out their evolutionary origins, like why we raise our eyebrows when we are surprised.
This page below is often referred to as ‘Screaming infants’, for obvious reasons.
The bottom photo on the page below is from a study by Darwin’s contemporary, neurologist Guillaume Duchenne (who’s work gave rise to the term ‘Duchenne smile’).
The book was quite revolutionary in using biological illustrations and paved the way for future works.
Though by the end of working on the book, Darwin wrote that he was 'sick of the subject and myself, and the world’.

Pictures from the Royal Institution Archival Collection. The book was published on Albemarle Street in London, where the Royal Institution also finds its home.
I oil painted Darwin by combining two references, one for the drawing, and one for the lighting. He is done on a 16x20 stretched canvas, in blue-black and white. I have many commissions to do for the next couple of months, so I thought this is my last chance to sneak in a personal piece before 2-3 months of commission work.
I chose him, not only because of his interesting look, but also because he is an inspiration for quality thinking and discovery. He was able to look past social narratives, look at how the world actually is and not how he wants it to be, and the result was something no one has ever though before. He had the courage to put his theory out there, knowing full well that society is not ready for it. His theory broke the reality of too many people, and to this day some can’t accept it. That is an example of quality thinking. Remember always to look at how things actually are, and not how you want them to be, and keep evolving. You can take your mind really far if you work on it.

Following on from @vixypixyrae’s vintage vision for our event with @blindpigcider, we had to find the right person to provide that modern twist. It was a great honour to introduce award-winning Glasgow School of Art graduate @kellydawnriot.
Taking inspiration from naturalist illustrators and forward thinking icons of times gone by, KellyDawn Riot’s brand embodies a unique aesthetic that invokes a sense of the ephemeral and wonder through hand crafted illustrations and paintings. The aim is to create pieces of wearable art that will continue to inspire: crawling with details and minutiae that will never cease to amaze. Pieces are made using remnants from local Scottish mills or natural fabrics such as cottons and linens, making them strong and durable, while the Eco friendly printing techniques and the attention to detail ensure that each piece is a treasure: inspired by nature, designed for life. HERE WE ARE.
Yesterday was my last day on The Amazing World of Gumball.
An incredible adventure stops for me.
Time flies, I started my animation studies watching this show and today I am so happy to have been part of this adventure.
I have been fortunate to learn and work with so many talented artists and beautiful human beings, who wake up every morning to do of TAWOG what I think is the best animated serie ever made.
I wish you all the best to finish this challenging season, I become now a spectator again and I can’t wait to watch your work at the TV.
I hope, my dear friends, our paths will cross again,
I’ll never forget this two kids
