I was going through a chain of thoughts the other day and I came to the conclusion that if I’m ever letting someone in about my sexuality I’ll say I’m demisexual (in this case demisexual also encompasses me being demiromantic). Period.
I understood that even if I’ve had a preference for women in the past and most likely in the future too… I really do not feel attracted to women in general, you know? Like it’s literally been 2 women I’ve felt attracted to and I don’t relate to many lesbian experiences (some maybe, as well as desiring a relationship w one) but when it comes to attraction… nope . So I’m literally demisexual. I have never felt more seen and understood with a label then how it’s been with this one.
And calling myself a lesbian… it has been helpful to understand my orientation but it isn’t my sexuality. It may come in handy when I don’t want to give a 30 minute class on the asexual spectrum and why I do have a partner if I ever do , but I am demisexual. That’s the core of it.
I think about it as if I were a fictional character I wouldn’t want people to overlook my canon demisexuality just bc I’m dating a girl; I wouldn’t suddenly be a lesbian… I am still demisexual. So yeah this has been a psa

They (the man who is not tall and the man who is not short) are not allowed romantic relationships. This makes the job very popular with Night Vale’s aromantic population. However, over the course of working together and getting to know each other, the man who is not tall slowly realizes that he is in fact demiromantic and not aromantic as he thought. He is falling for the man who is not short. This is why the man who is not short has to die.
